I do not typically leave negative reviews, but my experience here warrants one…read more I brought my Audi to Steve, the owner, after I accidentally ripped the shark-fin antenna off the car, damaging both the antenna and roof. I was clear about what I needed: make the roof watertight and restore the electronics affected by the damage. I relied on his expertise, and he assured me everything would work. Steve showed me a salvaged replacement antenna he had obtained for my car. When it apparently could not be used, the shop reinstalled my damaged original antenna without consulting me. The final bill then increased by more than 40%, with Steve explaining that the job required much more work than anticipated and that he was absorbing much of the additional cost. At pickup, only AM/FM worked. The SOS malfunction, Carplay, and other affected electronics remained broken. Steve then told me they lacked the equipment to properly diagnose the Audi electronics and suggested I take it to the dealership. Audi subsequently inspected the work and found the roof damage had not been repaired except touch up paint, my damaged antenna had been secured primarily with silicone and was still loose, and only 1 of 4 antenna connections was functional. Audi advised that I needed a new OEM antenna and still needed a body shop to properly complete the repair. What bothered me most was the follow-up. Steve had asked me to "stay in touch," but when I called with Audi's findings, the conversation became defensive and circular. I was left feeling as though I should have understood the technical limitations of the repair myself. I am not an body shop technician. That is why I hired a professional and relied on his expertise. If this job was beyond the shop's capabilities, it should have been declined or clearly communicated upfront. Steve later offered to install the new antenna I bought, but by then I was no longer comfortable returning the vehicle. I am essentially starting over with the repair. This simply should not have been a job the shop accepted.

They only made around 200 of these cars so I was nervous to lose it. I took it over to the shop and their owner Steve put me at ease. They were able to rebuild the custom front bumper and remake another body panel that wasn't a reproduction. They sourced and rebuilt parts and put her back together better than new. Very easy process and Steve gave me updates throughout! Would highly recommend!

They recommended Fix Auto. The experience was easy and seamless. They worked directly with the insurance company and did a great job completing the body work and front-end alignment. Cons: I picked my vehicle up a couple of days before Christmas. I drove home, and when I walked out later that day, I noticed a huge puddle under the car. A few days later, when I drove the car again, I turned on the AC and realized my previously ice-cold AC was not very cold. Over the next few days, it completely stopped working. I called Fix, who advised that I call USAA. USAA advised that it was a problem with Fix Auto, not them. When I brought the car in, Fix Auto briefly inspected it and stated there was no way their work could have caused the issue. They offered to repair it, but only at my expense. There was no effort to investigate further or take responsibility. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and had to spend nearly $800 getting it fixed. They said the AC line had been punctured. I told them about my interaction with Fix Auto, and they said it was, in fact, very likely that they accidentally punctured it while doing their work but then didn't want to own up to it. Mistakes can happen. That's not the issue. The issue is the complete refusal to take ownership, the lack of accountability, and the dismissive handling of a legitimate concern.

Gerber sent the work out to Line-X which did a poor job and didn't even complete the reinstallation of certain hardware. Carolina was also very unknowledgeable about the process and said, "In our eyes the work is complete and you'll have to take any issues up with Line-X." She also told me the rail caps were removed, while Line-X said they never remove the bed rail caps. Don't know why you would make up an answer instead of asking someone who knows. Wouldn't recommend Gerber to anyone, and they might want to hold training on customer service and personal responsibility.

I called Tony and sent piccs and got an estimate right away, and even in these Covid19 times, got scheduled within only a few days. He was right on time on the day and explained on how the job would go. He cured two planned dents and one small one I didn't notice, on-the-house. It took the full hour and it sounded like it was a good workout for Tony. Very physical work. I'm super grateful he could get the dents out and, even though he said it wouldn't look perfect afterwards, I think it does. Two thumbs way up. I hope not to have this issue again but I know who to call if I do.
