As promised he called and I dropped the car on a Tuesday morning, he got the car back to me on Thursday looking practically new. All for a fraction of the price the chain body chop wanted. I had a few dings and a broken mirror assembly on my C class that was planning to give to my son as high school driver. They recommended Fix Auto. The experience was easy and seamless. They worked directly with the insurance company and did a great job completing the body work and front-end alignment. Cons: I picked my vehicle up a couple of days before Christmas. I drove home, and when I walked out later that day, I noticed a huge puddle under the car. A few days later, when I drove the car again, I turned on the AC and realized my previously ice-cold AC was not very cold. Over the next few days, it completely stopped working. I called Fix, who advised that I call USAA. USAA advised that it was a problem with Fix Auto, not them. When I brought the car in, Fix Auto briefly inspected it and stated there was no way their work could have caused the issue. They offered to repair it, but only at my expense. There was no effort to investigate further or take responsibility. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and had to spend nearly $800 getting it fixed. They said the AC line had been punctured. I told them about my interaction with Fix Auto, and they said it was, in fact, very likely that they accidentally punctured it while doing their work but then didn't want to own up to it. Mistakes can happen. That's not the issue. The issue is the complete refusal to take ownership, the lack of accountability, and the dismissive handling of a legitimate concern.

Gerber sent the work out to Line-X which did a poor job and didn't even complete the reinstallation of certain hardware. Carolina was also very unknowledgeable about the process and said, "In our eyes the work is complete and you'll have to take any issues up with Line-X." She also told me the rail caps were removed, while Line-X said they never remove the bed rail caps. Don't know why you would make up an answer instead of asking someone who knows. Wouldn't recommend Gerber to anyone, and they might want to hold training on customer service and personal responsibility.

I called Tony and sent piccs and got an estimate right away, and even in these Covid19 times, got scheduled within only a few days. He was right on time on the day and explained on how the job would go. He cured two planned dents and one small one I didn't notice, on-the-house. It took the full hour and it sounded like it was a good workout for Tony. Very physical work. I'm super grateful he could get the dents out and, even though he said it wouldn't look perfect afterwards, I think it does. Two thumbs way up. I hope not to have this issue again but I know who to call if I do.
