What a hot mess this location is. I wanted it to be a customer here as my insurance has them as an approved shop. However this location was an epic fail. First I called to make sure that they took my insurance and was told yes and to come by for an estimate. No mention that I'd need an appointment to get a written estimate. So I drove down there and came inside to the office. There was a couple in there who were taking far too long to decide when they'd be dropping off their car for repairs and talking to this young woman receptionist. Nobody else there to answer any questions or greet me. The receptionist didn't acknowledge me either. Some guy walked by from the back and I asked if he could give me an estimate and he said that the receptionist would help me. 20 minutes passed and I'm still waiting. The woman told the man/husband she was going to the car to get something and farted as she passed me, leaving me in a fog of stink. I was in hell. Finally they made a decision on when to leave their car and left. Now the receptionist tells me I have to make an appointment to get an estimate. God help me. She could've asked me when I came in and not waste my time waiting. Two days later there's an opening. She tells me to come by on Thursday and no mention of a time. So Thursday I show up after a scheduled zoom call I have for work and here's the same receptionist who is as ditzy as they come. She tells me I should've come in the morning and that I missed my appointment and nobody can look at my car. I told her had she told me a specific time I would've told her I can't do that time because of a lengthy zoom call I have on Thursday mornings. Then she had me fill out a form with my insurance information and asked what my email was. I tried telling her verbally as she put it in the computer. The girl didn't know how to spell hawk which is part of my email and didn't know what a hawk was. I spelled it for her and she still struggled. Is it hock, hox, hucks? A native English speaker and she doesn't know?! She wasn't listening or was unable to type in as I spelled it. I had had enough and walked out. Nobody had time for that nonsense. I'll take my business elsewhere. Two wasted trips and still no estimate. I took my car elsewhere and it'll be ready this week. read more

Took my Jeep there, they said they could do the work, looked further at the estimate, found they were trying to put brands and parts on my Jeep that were obviously incorrect. They claimed some BS about their company card, and vendors not carrying the brand.... yea? Smittybilt? Can't get that brand? ANYWHERE has that brand, must use autozone as a vendor. Wanted to replace bolt on with adhesive parts. Scam artists. They work for insurances at your expense. Edit: oh yea I'll get right on it bro.... Alvaro was a great guy but I was not completely satisfied!! The front spoiler on my BMW is now different!! It's smaller and doesn't look as mean and sporty. The accents that were black on a blacked out grill are now grey or chrome which doesn't match my grill!! They never communicated that to me but waited until I was there to pick it up to tell me! If I was given the option then I would have waited for black grill accents because the grill was blacked out!! Not now!! I am not satisfied with the service very misleading!!!!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I was recommended Calibur Collision by my insurance (USAA). They assessed the damage and then gave an estimate of around $650 to myself and my insurance. They reached out a few times to tell me about a lot of delays. A month and a half later I showed up to pick up my car and pay and the cost was about $4500. I asked to speak to my file handler and asked why I was never informed the cost went up so much (like 600%) and she said I never asked. I said, you raise the cost of repair on my vehicle thousands of dollars and I have to ask? She claimed she has never seen this kind of thing happen (lie- check the other Google reviews) and that a link had been shared with the new cost. The link, even now, still has the original estimate. I told her with all the new damage my car should have been a total loss and she said that my insurance didn't say it was. I asked whether that was before or after the cost of damage rose thousands of dollars. She only responded that she has been working with my insurance. DO NOT GO HERE. Not on your own, not with insurance. DONT GIVE THEM ANY MORE BUSINESS. read more

You would be wise to avoid this place at all costs. They are thieves. My truck was scratched with a key while parked and USAA told me to take it to them for an estimate. We agreed on an estimate of $2241 and they did the paint repairs. They revised the amount four times and kept sending USAA supplemental damage estimates. The final cost came to $4048; therefore almost double what we agreed on when I left the truck with them. Several days after they finished they sent me an invoice for an additional $715, which I complained about but have no choice but to pay. Keep in mind that this was a simple key scratch to the exterior paint and all damage was visible when they did the first estimate. Yet they kept adding more labor and cost. Why USAA allows them to get away with it is a mystery. But I intend to let USAA know what kind of shady business practices they are engaged it. read more

They gave an estimate about 3000, I looked over the damages and realized they were doing a lot more repairs than necessary on my brand new truck with key scratches so I requested they removed about 1/4 of the work proposed. They did, then gave me an estimate with the same price as before but with 10 extra hours of labor out of nowhere. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had in awhile with a "professional" establishment. I had a blown tire which damaged the fenders and needed to be fixed. USAA recommended I take it to this shop for repairs. Made an appointment for 11:15am. Met with the "appraiser" to go over repairs. Half way into our conversation, he said that the office had printed out the wrong paperwork for this repair. He suggested that I come back in an hour to continue the appraisal ......Mind you this is 15-20 min into the appraisal. I thought he was joking. I said we can go back in and get the paperwork and wrap this up....He said...and I quote..."It's my lunch time. I only get an hour for lunch and I have to take it now....the appraisal takes about 30-45 min and she printed out the wrong paperwork and will take time to get that squared away...so can you come back in an hour?" He was dead serious.... My wife and I left. I called USAA and reported my experience. We will take it to another body shop they recommended and see how that turns out. The bottom line is this.....I would not recommended them regardless, even if their body work is good. Hopefully USAA will take them off their list of body shops they recommend in my area. read more

They don't counter the insurance, heads up, they'll just put whatever the insurance says onto your car while pressuring you to sign for parts, while saying "this doesn't mean anything" ohhh yea, other than giving you permission to put incorrect stuff on my ride. They deliberately lied to my face saying they can do the work. Held my car for extensive periods of time before giving it up after a week. Take your money and loyalty far away from the crooks. I was involved in a minor parking lot accident. Called USAA immediately and they recommended Caliber Collision on I-35 in South Austin. USAA contacted them and scheduled an appointment for the next day (all while I waited on the phone). Erik met with us and gave us an estimate on the car repairs and told us exactly what would take place during the repairs. We left the car and was promised that it would be ready by the end of the next week. Erik called and/or texted me daily with an update and I was pleasantly surprised to have the car repaired sooner than expected. They did a fantastic job. I have been meaning to write a review of Caliber Collision Center At 11210 S IH Frontage Road in Austin for some time, so here goes ... I have taken my 2017 VW Touareg SUV to this location twice with significant damage to a passenger door, due to inattention on my part while pulling into my driveway at home & smacking into the same fence post!!! Each time, the whole staff here has done a tremendous job of putting "my baby" back together and making it look as good as new! Everyone here is so polite & professional, and I am a very happy repeat customer of Caliber Collision Center. Then meeting Eric Eoff, the Service Advisor was a pleasure as his professionalism helped the process along. Once it was established that I would be using insurance, I was put in touch with Ken Robertson, who was a great help and kept me updated on the timeline as my car moved through the repair process. They fixed the damage and got me back on the road quickly. With a nice clean car too. The service advisor, Anamaria Lopez made no attempt to contact me to tell me when to bring the vehicle in, status of repairs or when to pick it up. I went there initially because I had acorn damage on my car and needed ding repair. Mario who appeared nice to me pointed out two dings on the top part of my bumper was from someone who backed into my car and the two censures popped up which seemed reasonable to me. I picked up my car, and asked him why didn't he just cover the tiny scratches I signed off on, he told me to get the touch up paint and he would touch it up for free. He did I asked could I tip him he said no give him five stars on his review' BIG MISTAKE I wish I could take it back. Because of the beautiful detail they did I failed to notice the wave in that small top piece of the bumper that they replaced. I informed Mario and brought my car back and he told me that I needed to replace the whole bumper. A new ding appeared on the back chrome part of the bumper and I didn't sign off on that. He included that in my next repair and charged it to my insurance which I had to pay two deductibles for. I picked up my car and next day noticed that the new bumper was hanging off on the right hand side, and the chrome piece on the bottom was not lined. He told me to bring it back so he take a look at it. He took it to the back and brought it back with three small new dings on the bumper. He told me somebody possibly hit it that's why those dings were there. I am a hairstylist so I pay close attention to detail. Those ding were not on there a few minutes before. He was trying to make an excuse for such a poor job. My car is garaged park hardly driven and I always park my car in front of my shop because I don't want it dinged. My daughter who also has a good eye confirmed that those three dings where not there. I originally took it there because that car was clean Mazda CX-9 2018 clean only 15,000 miles on it. My baby! I couldn't sleep that night because of what Mario did to me. I asked my daughter what I should do? She said call the manager. Well, I called, and spoke to David Lopez' and told him of my concerns, he told me to bring it back, BIG MISTAKE, he told me he would repair at cost no labor charges. My daughter couldn't believe that I would continue to deal with them after all those dings and terrible bumper repair. But I just wanted my car fixed well I took it back an got four huge dings on my trunk. Called to report it to my insurance company and he said tat he would find it unbelievable that they would purposely ding my car. I didn't blame him, I know that there are sick people out there and I'm not one of them. This story does sound far fetched. David told my insurer that he took pictures of the dings, so now I know this was done purposefully. Cause guess what David Lopez and Mario jokes on you, cause I never signed off on those dings that you put in my car and took pictures of. Long story short I traded in my car and got a 2021. Because my car was not turned back to its original condition. I never leave reviews but because of such poor mean service I had to. My first review and probably my last. read more

Absolutely the least professional body shop I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with a few. We run a fleet of trucks and occasional fender benders are a fact of life. This was the first time that we've used Caliber and they failed to live up to expectations on every level. We brought in a 2017 Tundra with minor damage to the rear bumper and quarter panel. First, they were unable to give us an accurate date for the completion of the job which they extended it a few times. Second, communication was horrible from the service writer, Anna Maria, who didn't seem to understand that it was her job to reach out to her customers rather than wait for phone calls. Third, when we picked up the truck the rear licence plate was missing (WHAT??). They suggested that they would be willing to reimburse us for the cost of getting a replacement from the DMV (Screw you, why don't you go wait in line for us?). Fourth and most important, THE QUALITY OF THE REPAIR WAS TERRIBLE. The bumper was on crooked and they used a generic decal to replace the OEM decal o the rear quarter panel. There's such a complete lack of trust, I'm not even asking them to fix it. Rather, I'm taking it to San Marcos Toyota to have them repair it properly. If you care about your vehicle, do not walk but run away from this place. read more

The customer service here is a joke. My wife went in for an estimate for damaged that had occurred to her car. The lady at the front desk acted like it was a pain to even have to speak to her. And then her and another guy there told her that they could not help her, and did everything but basically push her out the door. Their lack of professionalism is ridiculous. She went right down the road to another business and the associates there were courteous and considerate. They gave her an estimate, got all the information needed, followed through with our insurance. And everything including fixing the damage to her car was done in just 3 days. And it was top quality. I am so thankful we did not have to end up using Caliber Collision. Because it all starts upfront and if there customer service is any indication. My 2013 Lexus ES 350 was backed into in a parking lot and hit gently on the right front fender. Connie at the front desk is the sweetest and most helpful young lady and Joey (my repair representative) did a wonderful job ensuring all of the repairs from my minor fender bender were taken care of in greater detail than I ever imagined. The fender appeared to just have a dent and scratch where the fender meets the bumper, which was also scraped. My parking sensor warning light was also on and parking sensors were no working. The initial estimate was only a few hundred dollars and covered by the insurance of the person who backed into my car. Joey had my alignment checked and discovered the camber adjustment was not correct and discovered damaged suspension parts requiring the entire suspension system on the right front of my car to be replaced and then aligned. He also had my wheel x-rayed to ensure that it was not cracked. My fender and front bumper were fixed and painted and a parking sensor was also replaced. In addition to correcting the obvious damage and all of the hidden damage, he also buffed out a scrape I had on one of my exterior mirrors and another small scratch on the left front fender. I could not have been more pleased with the way I was treated at this Caliber Collision location. My car looks even better now than it did prior to my fender bender thanks to the excellent repairs Joey had completed for me at a cost to the insurance company of about $3,500, and would recommend any accident repairs needed to be corrected on any vehicle be done right here. I will definitely be a repeat customer should the need ever arise in the future. read more
