Sean was polite and patient and answered my many questions leading up to the event. Sean and Michelle showed up exactly when they said they would and set up the custom arch quickly and efficiently. When that happened with Lush Balloons, I emailed them to let them know it was disappointing to have to tell my friend that the gift was from me. Lush Balloons responded by defensive email, on a day when their shop was closed, to let me know they "...ran out a few days ago..." of their "...free handwritten cards[s]..." I explained in my first email and my response that the point is not that their cards are free or that their delivery person read what our card said to the first person who answered our door. The point is that the card, free or not, needs to be with the $100 plus gift we bought when the intended recipient arrives home from work, etc. Instead of writing a defensive and unhelpful email to us, we wish Lush Balloons had stopped by Target to buy a box of cards until their free cards became available.

We did, however, encounter communication mishaps such as delayed responses and some confusion and part of it was my mistake as I still haven't updated my Yelp account to my current legal name. We got that straightened out but communication still didn't improve much. I understand we're all busy (especially their weekends) but I wanted all the details and planning squared away ahead of the event to get it out of the way. It was anxiety-inducing for me. He is talented and professional. He was a pleasure both on the booking and coordination side, as well as on the entertaining end as well. He arrived early and stayed late. Most importantly, he is really great with the kids, so it was not surprising to learn that he deals with kids all day at his usual 9-5. He did a great job organizing the kids by assigning them numbers, so they didnt have to wait in a line, especially since every piece he created took some time to do. On the talent side, he cares about his craft and definitely doesnt mail it in. For example, the simple balloon sword was a very study helix blade and he even made a balloon belt holder for the kids as well! He also had some pretty creative suggestions for kids that couldnt decide on what they wanted, like a jet pack. The whole thing fell apart. I reached out to the decorator and they just said, since it was standing before they left, it was no longer their responsibility. Also they kept blaming the wind, there was no wind. And even if there was, the decorator needs to secure for it, its part of the service. It took 4 grown adults 1.5 hours to stand it back up. IT WAS VERY HEAVY!! While they should've been enjoying the party, helping greet guests or setting up other stuff. And it looked wonkv after we were done. Since I paid about $1700+ I asked for a portion of the cost reimbursed and they refused. If I was business and I provided a service that had a fault, even if it wasn't mine, I would try to correct it. It's just bad business to leave people to fix it who paid service that could've potentially ruined the whole event. If you're still planning to hire them, be ready to hear a ton of excuses if stuff doesn't go right, fix the stuff yourself if it falls apart and not be compensated for any faults. Wish I had read the other negative reviews here before I booked them.
