For example, one of the other car dealerships prevented us from taking the car to an independent mechanic! You know they were hiding something with the car. Anyway, not only did Texas Cars Direct let us take the car to an independent mechanic, they were professional, not pushy like some of the other guys we dealt with, and easy to do business with. Mike, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for selling us the newest car in our company fleet! P.S. What followed was 33 days of "we can't pay you until the title arrives" -- even though my lender confirmed in writing on 7/30 that the loan was paid in full. I'm an Army veteran and I handled this the right way: calls, patience, follow-ups, numerous conversations with their manager Mike. The day I said I'd had enough, his position was still that I could go to the DMV myself or wait another three weeks. Dismissive from start to finish. On 8/27 I showed up in person with the lender's paid-in-full letter. Only then did they hand over my check -- dated 7/27, two days after the sale. It existed nearly the whole time they were telling me they couldn't pay. The car had already been resold. (Keep-or-cut sentence:) Nothing in the bill of sale I signed conditions payment on the title. If you sell them your car, demand a payment date in writing. Every date above is documented.

Great if you can afford that, but I'm not a hobbyist. Charlotte is kind and helpful, Caesar was helpful, Tom is a delight if you can get him, but the mechanic that I was always stuck with was rude and condescending. Constantly interrupted me, which seems a strange choice when I have diagnostic information you need. So much so once on the phone that I had to make a complaint and speak with a different mechanic who could compose himself as a decent human being. They once repeatedly insisted that I needed a new compressor BEFORE even looking at my car and even AFTER I told them that I had just had it replaced 2 months ago. Then insulted my normal mechanic who had done the job, insinuating that he didn't know how to install a compressor. Without knowing him, and again, without having looked at the engine. Awkward much? Shockingly, it wasn't the compressor. It was an air leak as I had said in the first place and that they had failed to find in the end. Took it to a non saab mechanic. I used to take it here for diagnosis when something was really tricky but I'll be glad never to go back here again. Good news is, they were so difficult that I learned how to do a few things myself to avoid being held hostage to ignorance. Just replaced my vacuum lines, ignition coils and spark plugs myself. Good luck with that business model.

The car left me stranded and had to be towed back to the dealership and was accepted by them. It has been there 3 days and nothing is being done. I did not even drive it 100 miles! While being towed, I was informed by the tow truck driver that the emergency gear device had been removed. This makes towing the car impossible in emergency situations. It has a 'no warranty' status, and a waiver for a service contract, however, being 75, I drove the car very little, 100 miles or under. I can cancel the check from my Credit Union, but I loose my $1000,00 down as they say they had a 'no refund' policy, but that is not stated in the sales contract. I still don't have a car, and I lose my money. Meanwhile, I am missing important medical appointments.

Although I was…read moreinitially a little apprehensive considering I have only dealt with large dealerships in the past, my experience with Topgear Motorcars turned out to be a stellar one. Buying from Topgear Motorcars far surpassed my expectations and proved to me that smaller businesses are more able to provide a customized and unique service that add real value to shoppers. From my first interaction with Sahan, the owner of the dealership, I felt a sense of honesty and integrity outside of the norm when dealing with car sales people. Perhaps the reason for this is because although Sahan is in the business of selling cars, he proved to be a bona fide car guy at heart. Walking into the showroom you'll realize quickly that Sahan is an individual who knows how to pick his cars. There's a certain pride that shows up in their quality. One after the other, I found each car he had for sale to be a pristine example of a pre-owned car for that model. That's no joke. Absolutely every single one was immaculate - I've never seen that before in a dealership of this size. And to top it off his prices are super reasonable!! I was in the market for a Genesis and saw from the pictures Sahan had posted that the car I was interested in was a clean and very well cared for vehicle - I was not disappointed. I've intentionally waited to provide a review, because I wanted to experience owning the car before I wrote a review. It has now been over six months and I have to say, the car has been amazing. I've not experienced a single issue and I've thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving it. Coming off a BMW 328i, that's saying a lot. I have no doubt that this car is going to last me a while. Having said that, whenever the time comes I know I'll reach out to Sahan with Topgear Motorcars for my next vehicle. There are so many car dealers around, but there aren't many places that deal in integrity and trust. Sahan exemplifies an unparalleled willingness to partner with his customers in search of the best possible solution for them. He is a class act and his cars are even better!! If you're in the market for a pre-owned car, it would be worth your while to check out his dealership.
