Shop opens at 10AM I'm sure by the picture this dude will know exact why I'm writing this.. Came through about 10:10AM Door was propped right open...gave them a Good Morning, and response was "Not Even Open Dude". Told them all I had was a question, owner begin to tell me the specific piece in the picture bolts straight into the frame. Not true, because my bike that I purchased from them wouldn't be sitting on its ass for the past 6 months, which is due to a missing nut. Thought you guys were cool, but something crawled up dudes ass this morning.

So my kids decided to ride their bikes in a back trail off road. Seconds later, 4 tire punctures from rolling through puncture weed / goat heads had me looking for solutions. I called Rob and he told he could fix the bikes with new inner tubes, remove all thorns for $140. But I wanted to learn to do this myself and teach my kids a lesson also. Instead, with Rob's warm open advice, I walked out spending half that with the parts needed and an upgrade! Ended up getting the right inner tubes, and a puncture guard strip which I installed that afternoon. Reasonable prices and helpful expertise make this shop a great local option. I saved $70 and learned how to fix the bikes myself and taught my kids a valuable lesson!

Sometimes the answers is in front of us, but we didn't see through. This is one of the good shop, they sells many different types of the bikes , and they also offered fixing your bikes if you need it. The boss is very nice, he greeted me after I left the store, and he said "sorry I am Busy inside the store, but, if you need any help, let me Know."

Thanks Rob for all your advice and help with the build of Nicks Dirt jumper! He loves it! Rob always took the extra time to explain how the build was going and different parts we ordered, we will be back for More parts and future bikes for sure!

As other reviews mentioned, it's a small shop, but that meant I could chat with the technician while he worked and he could offer me various options. He replaced the rear inner tube and added a liner and sealant, plus added sealant to the front tire (I would've had him add a liner to the front tire, too, but he only had one in the right size). I'd never had the bike serviced since I bought it online 6 months ago, so he checked and tightened various loose connections. He showed me some basic maintenance procedures like how to lubricate the chain (easy when you know how, but as a biking n00b, I appreciated the lesson). If I need work done in the future, I'll be a happy repeat customer.

Because of the tighter space, it can be a bit difficult to see where the line to get help is and where people are just browsing. The staff here is not bad. They were really helpful to my friend who needed a piece removed off his bike. They were kind enough to give it a try even though it was going to be a tough piece to remove. They were able to do it and the staff was kind to not charge but we paid something for the help. Overall the place can feel a bit cluttered but they do a have a lot of bike options. The staff is kind but the layout does make it harder to know if you are in line or the person in front is just browsing.

He let me know that is is something he could fix and that he was familiar with the issue. I let him know that we've tested the battery and the issue was with the controller. He let me know that it would be $150 + parts. This guy had my bike for 3.5 weeks before I heard anything from him. When I did hear from him, he let me know that he did not have any luck when contacting the manufacturer on their website and that I needed to pick my bike up immediately or he'd be charging me $25 a day in Storrage fees. I let him know that I need more of a heads up to pick THE BIKE up before he begins charging me $25 a day and I inquired on what website he was attempting to contact for THE BIKE. Apparently this guy had been contacting the wrong website the entire time. I gave him the correct site to contact and he said he'd get back to me. I heard back from him a couple days later again with him, threatening Storrage fees if I didn't come pick it up. He was extremely rude, still charged me $150 for nothing, and charged me $50 because it took me two days to come get the bike. This guy is extremely rude and disrespectful and over charges for his own negligence.

I Like Bike Bought…read morea bike off some dude on OfferUp and ofc he swore it was in great shape and ready to roll. Well, obviously, used bike salesman are just as trustworthy as used car salesmen but I digress. Both tires had holes in them and wouldn't hold air, and that's just what we knew of, so I decided we needed to find a good reliable bike shop for these and future repairs, so we turned to Yelp to aid us in our quest. They responded right away with some quotes and just said to drop it off at any time. The fact that they're a short ten-minute drive from our place doesn't hurt, either. Dropped it off for two tube replacements and a basic tuneup, during the course of which they found a shifter was out of sorts and needed replacement. It took about three business days (they have a lot of work and it's a one man show) but the owner is very nice and keeps you up to date with the repair via text, including having you approve any new repairs, as well as the cost. As long as you don't need it tomorrow then I highly recommend "Got Bikes?" for all your bike repair needs.

"Best Footwear Experience--Ask for Steve!"…read more I've been to countless running and shoe stores over the years, but my experience at the Campbell Sports Basement was on an entirely different level. If you are looking for new shoes, do yourself a favor and find Steve in the footwear department. His knowledge is genuinely unmatched. He didn't just point me to the newest or most expensive model; he took the time to understand the mechanics of my feet and explain the nuances of every shoe we discussed. He even had me running down the aisles in various pairs to ensure the fit and feel were perfect. It was easily the best customer service I've ever had, better than some shoe speciality shop! To top it off, I found out about their "Love Your Purchase" return policy. It's a total game-changer--knowing I can actually test these out and bring them back if they don't work for my feet gives me so much peace of mind. Between Steve's expertise and the store's return policy, I won't be going anywhere else for my gear.

It's so nice to walk into a store and speak with people who understand what good customer service is. It's not just about greeting someone with a smile. It's having the knowledge and experience to answer customer questions, listen to what it is they're looking for and then make recommendations based on the customer's needs. Obviously the team at Hyland left a good impression on me 14 years ago. I'm looking to buy an electric trike now and I'm hopeful that they can help me out or at least point me in the right direction. Now, obviously things can change in 14 years, but Hyland's been around for a long time and that alone is a testament at least to me about the quality of their business. Bike Ward…read more Family-owned local bike shop that's been in business since 1963, and at this current larger location since 1989. I was in the market for some accessories for my son's bike and instead of taking the lazy way and ordering from Unca Jeff, I decided to do the right thing and support a local cyclery. And I'm glad I did. The Good: *Small private lot *Very convenient location if you live in Willow Glen or Cambrian. *Open seven days a week *Staff is super helpful and not pushy *Sell bikes and accessories, as well as bike maintenance and repairs. *I accidently bought the wrong type of rear bike rack** and I had already opened it and tried (unsuccessfully) to install it. I took it back along with the bike thinking I'd have to eat the cost of the rack since I'd already opened it, but they were more than happy to order me the correct one. Now that's customer service!! *Trade bikes for store credit *EXACT SAME PRICES AS AMAZON ON ACCESSORIES. I know that's hard to believe, but I checked, cuz you know... I'm a cheap-ass and am always curious, but yeah. The Meh: *No street parking on Meridian, but you can on nearby Blackford Ln. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a little tight, especially if you have a long vehicle and a hitch with bikes on it. Conclusion: Great little family bike shop with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended. **Be sure you know what kind of rear brakes your bike has either drum or disc when buying mountable accessories.
