I really wanted to love this place. Now I see why it was empty when I walked in. Went here with my friend and it was pretty empty. Food was great, but I ended up comming home and throwing up for hours. Not sure if I would ever go back. Proceed with caution. Not worth getting food poisoning. Edit: 8 days later and I was diagnosed with food poisoning. My stomach is so swollen it hurts to walk and move around. I called the restaurant and they refused to issue me a refund. Please eat at your own risk, I haven't been able to eat / function properly the last few days. I been in ALOT of pain. I have the urgent care / doctor paperwork to prove it. I was prescribed anti nausea medication so I can keep from vomiting. I had to have a CT scan scheduled just to make sure I'm okay. The pain in my body, is insane. If I could give this place -100 stars. I would. I've worked in Human Resources for years in hospitality and this isn't how you treat a customer who became sick from YOUR restaurant. Do better. I wasn't sure what to expect here,being that I tend to frequent places like this everywhere I go. The drinks were actually awesome which was fantastic since the drinks at seafood places like this tend to be horrendous. We had adult capris and Louisiana sunset drinks and they were great. The color of the drink for Take the beads kept changing with each order from pink to orange to red, so I'd like a bit of consistency across the board. I mean, it is one of the same drink, is it not? We ordered simple, quick things like fish tacos, crab cakes and lobster bites with fries. We liked everything we ordered. It was fresh and tasty. Something we would each order again. My sister sent one of her adult capris back because she didn't like the taste and they swapped it for another without issue. I did notate that the table distancing was a bit closer then it should be and I observed some staff wearing gloves and others who were not. A bit risky, I'd say. **Post Covid review** I came here with my friend in the early evening & I'm so happy we did come. She had been here before & told me about her good experience, so I wanted to check it out. Being that this restaurant is in Long Island, as some of you may or may not know in L.I they do indoor dining, so we had an option of sitting inside or outside & since it was a nice day, we sat outside. For appetizers we got the fish tacos which were delicious. What I really liked about the fish tacos was it was a nice full piece of fish inside. What I notice normally with fish tacos is small pieces of fish where certain bites, you might not get any fish, but not with these tacos. The taco has fried catfish, coleslaw, remoulade, sweet aioli, cheddar cheese & parsley. For an entree we both got the bucket combo, but my friend just asked for 2 pounds of shrimp & I had the snow crab legs with clams. The buckets also come with corn, potatoes, andouille sausage & eggs. We both had the bucket special sauce which has some heat, but also sweetness in the background. It was a perfect combination. For drinks we had the Henny Passion (Hennessy VS, Grand Marnier & passion fruit) which definitely has a kick to it, but the passion fruit balances it all out so it's smooth. Overall I was happy with the food & the service. The manager/owner walked around to make sure everything was ok, which is appreciated. The waiter also checked in on us & we weren't waiting long for our food or drinks. I was in the mood for some whole fresh lobster because this is summer and summer means lobster. Yelp suggested this place and I was not disappointed for the most part. I ordered a few meals because I will be staying in for the next few days and didn't want to pay the delivery fee and tip more than once, haha. I mean, I made sure to tip well, but ordering a few meals cuts down on the delivery costs. They charge $3.95 delivery fee. What's the difference with lobster? We don't need to eat it hot. So, here are the items I ordered: Lobster roll special: comes with fries. The New England had some mayo in regular hot dog buns. Two per order. Not bad, not great. Ok for $15 and it's lobster. The grilled lobster platter with grilled corn. Excellent lobster! Sweet and fresh! I asked for garlic butter on the side and this sauce is like crack! Soooo addicting. I don't usually eat butter or garlic, but this combo is delicious, with some fresh herbs. Reminds me of the time we went to Summer Shack in Boston and they cooked lobster with garlic and butter. The lobster and clams special: it came with some sausage, two hard boiled eggs, some clams and a whole lobster that tasted very fresh. I'm not sure why there were two eggs. I've never seen that in a lobster boil. They also provided a container of the garlic butter on the side. I saved it for my pasta later on in the day. And what a delicious garlic butter pasta it was. I cannot say if the Cajun spice was good or not because I asked for some spice on the side but they never provided it. I low key love this spot. It's not fancy seafood, but I randomly discovered it and they have Happy Hour everyday until 7 with oysters, the bar is big and has great TVs, and it's a great Sunday night vibe when I just want a chill moment. The only thing I find super odd is every time I dine in, there is not a soul there. A beautiful large room seats dozens of people and a gorgeous huge bar but not a soul anywhere. Usually, I go on Thursday nights, but the bar is always empty and they play great music. Not sure why no hype. I think I saw more Uber Eats and Door Dash guys come through the door than actual customers which is even more odd, I can imagine the prices are doubled through food apps. The oysters Rockefeller were so delicious, oysters barely cooked to perfection. The New England clam chowder was also really good, didn't feel heavy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded. The lobster rolls were pretty good but the fries were fantastic and I'm not really a fry person. While aesthetically I was pleased and the service was decent, I just was not impressed by the "Cajun boil" seafood. We ordered fried calamari for a appetizer. A waste. What arrived was fried bread crumbs. No calamari. I've visited other Cajun boils where for the hefty price tag my boil bag features well seasoned seafood and enough of my boil sauce of choice. Honestly it was after 8:00 p.m. and I feel as though the kitchen staff threw a little sauce in a plastic bag and boiled the fish. I ordered the lobster tail and 1 lb of shrimp Combo. Not pleased at all. The lobster tail was overcooked. Overboiled. When discussing with the assistant manager I believe, he appeared defensive and sarcastic when I explained that I didn't receive enough sauce in my boil bag to coat or flavor the seafood. " Well. We wouldn't cheat you with the same amount of sauce we give everyone". I asked for more boil Sauce. The sauce could not save the undercooked red potatoes that were hard as golf balls. My friend suggested I go home and recook them. She broke her plastic fork trying to cut into them. I wish they would meet with the chef at Red Juicy crab in RVC and compare notes. Why should I have to recook food or do any of this when spending over $50 dining out? Should I have cooked and stayed at home ? Even with more sauce it was not flavorful. Very large restaurant I was shocked at just how big it is inside. I love that there is space to move about freely and sit comfortably with your party. The drinks menu was very impressive and I would suggest the Adult Capri Sun. Good flavor, good amount of drink, and served in the cute pouch. For the appetizer the crab cakes are delicious, the oyster Rockefeller is so-so, and the chicken wings are perfect- fried hard. I had the lobster tail boil with the Cajun bucket sauce and my husband had the snow crab with garlic butter sauce. Both boils were good, although I think my sauce was better. We decided to try this place out last Friday. It was half full (or half empty) but people started to trickle in and fill the place. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm ambiance. Brittany, our waitress, was very pleasant. We ordered the sampler, a pound of shrimp and branzino. The sampler was great and I would order it again. If you like fried stuff, this is for you too. The shrimp's vein was removed, which was a plus. The Bucket Special sauce that it was made with failed me though. I wanted to love it so so bad, but I will try a different sauce next time. I tried the mojito and a few of us had ordered the "Adult Capri Sun" which is a novelty drink and intrigued us. We ordered a couple of samplers for the table which included Cajun Fries, calamari, gumbo balls, wings and catfish. For dinner, I had the surf and turf and the rest of my table ordered different variations of the "Create your own bucket." They all received big bags of what they ordered, covered in their respective chosen flavors, and they all seemed happy with the meal they received as the table went silent as they were eating. My experience in Oceanside hasn't been the best but it was the complete opposite here. The staff was great. It wasn't crowded and it did allow for all waitstaff to be fully alert and attentive but I think I would have received that either way. The host was extremely pleasant and happy to be there. That's super important and the waitress had lots of feedback on the food and drinks. They have a brunch option on Sunday's. I wasn't aware of this but it is definitely a great option and will be sure to come back. $18 for an app, entree, and dessert with one mimosa and $25 for unlimited mimosas. This visit I did the boil option with clams and crab legs. The sauce was great and on point with the seasoning with the right amount of spice level. The Oceanside location has a different flavor they use that almost taste like ginger. Not here. We also had the Mac and cheese. It's not southern styled MAC but they bake it and add the breadcrumbs so it was great for my son. Also the red sangria was a hit! read more

However if you don't like crab legs or not in the mood to be cracking and slurping they do have grilled, steamed and fried seafood options available. The special cajun bucket sauce hit the spot! Celebrated a family member birthday here. Not a bad time as usual. We ordered food and drinks and it wasn't crowded this day which was a plus. We got seated right away and got our orders in quickly. We had a switch up as our waitress was swapped out in the middle off serving us... nonetheless she still made sure everything went smooth and was very helpful while transitioning.
