We arrived late afternoon on a Friday and it was fairly quiet with what was most likely a local crowd. The bartender was wonderful! We didn't get his name, but he was really conversational, had some good jokes and an Irish accent. Really good person. We opted for the pretzels; beer for me and wine for my wife. My beer on draft was cold; ice cold. So good on a warm, humid afternoon. The Giant Bavarian Pretzel was excellent! The homemade mustard and cheese were also a very nice touch. We enjoyed relaxing at the bar, having a bite and some beverages. This is a place we'll certainly come back to when we visit the area again!

I didn't get pictures of them, but they were incredibly fresh and definitely worth ordering. Overall, a good experience with fresh sushi, good service, and several standout dishes. I'd definitely come back, especially for the nigiri and truffle scallops.

It had two full size beds, a leather sitting chair, a desk, and a little kitchenette. The bathroom also had a large counter for holding all of our toiletries. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. Overall, a good experience.

The brussel sprouts on this dish were also outstanding. I love when a restaurant doesn't treat the veggies as a side dish! The branzino was light and refreshing, it was a really great balance to the other saucier dishes we had. The service was extremely attentive and so friendly. They really took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

Very disappointed with our experience at Angie's. We had a reservation and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. The bar was too loud to even have a conversation while we waited. Once seated, it took 45 minutes just to get water and place our order. The service only got worse from there. Chowders came out at different times, and our burgers and fries were served cold. What really stood out, in a very bad way, was the owners' behavior. They were clearly focused on a table of their friends who were seated after us. That table got their food before ours and received constant attention, while the rest of the dining room was ignored. I understand a new restaurant has growing pains, but ignoring paying customers while prioritizing friends is not acceptable. To top it off, I asked to take my leftovers home, and they were never returned. By the time the bill finally came (another long wait), the food was gone. Overall, poor service, disorganized, and unprofessional. Hopefully they improve, but this was a frustrating experience. read more

Seating was quick and service was okay throughout the visit even though the place was full. What decreased the rating for me was the portions and the prices in which I was expecting a bit more. When you go to a tavern, you typically expect rustic comfort food in a decent portion size at an affordable price. Everything here is a-la carte despite the $17 (burger) to $31 (flank steak) entree price with sides (side portion sizes amount for one to two people) running you an additional $11 to $12. The appetizers, which will run you between $12 and $17, are also small in portion size. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimpcargot for $17 which was maybe 6 small shrimp but you mostly tasted lemon and dill more than you tasted any garlic herb butter and the small pieces of toast that comes with the dish. I've had escargot multiple times previously and would rather have that than the shrimpcargot again. We also ordered the gyoza, which only included four small dumplings for $12, and a special they had for Pork Belly Bao Buns, which only came two to an order and the piece of pork inside was quite small (the flavor was decent though). For entrees, we ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon, the Roasted Chicken, the Country Pork Chop, and special Halibut they had on the board. Out of these dishes, only the pork chop ($29) and the salmon ($24) seemed to be a decent portion size for what they included without any sides. The special Halibut, which was $38, was quite a small piece and included nothing else other than the brown butter sauce it was in. The Roasted Chicken had two small breasts of chicken included, not even half a small chicken for $24. The a-la carte entrees are not enough for one person so for sides, we ordered the jasmine rice ($12), the brussels sprouts ($12), the harissa roasted carrots ($12), and the mac and cheese ($11). Out of all of these, I only thought the roasted carrots had a very nice flavor with the yogurt and spice they are paired with. The mac and cheese (without bacon) was bland as was the rice, and the brussels sprouts were dry with a need for some type of sweetener such as honey. Altogether, for four, the total bill with tax before tip for us was $220, quite high when you're just looking for a casual dinner at a local place. If the portion sizes were slightly larger or included sides, and the pricing was more reasonable (not including drinks), this tavern would be worth the re-visit but this could've been better.
