Bourbon chicken, Jambalaya rice, green beans, red potatoes

Cajun Big Easy wasn't bad, but you can find better bourbon chicken. It was a convenient meal since I was at the mall, and the free sample tasted good. The portion size was big for what I paid, and the staff answered all of my questions when I couldn't decide which flavor of chicken I wanted. If I'm in the mall and get hungry again, I'd go back. I wouldn't travel to the mall just to eat there though.

As shopping mall fast food goes, Cajun Big Easy is at the top of their game. Their signature "Bourbon Chicken" is outstanding. I also really appreciate the fact that they always have a number of (side) vegetable choices that are prepared simply but professionally; not over cooked and NOT over salted, which is so common with fast food locations in malls, a la Chinese and Italian fast food take-outs.

The food is decent here with decent prices but a lot of the younger female staff are so rude.

It's in a great location right off the highway by the Public Market. I was greeted immediately by the bartender and a server very quickly came to seat me and supplied me with menus and water while I waited for my friend. He came back immediately when she got there to greet us and see if we needed anything right away. We ordered margaritas and a few appetizers. Shortly after, we ordered dinners. We had biscuits and fried green tomatoes, and we each ordered a different type of spicy chicken sandwich. We both really liked our food. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was really good and the biscuits were soo good!! The fried green tomatoes were just so-so, but I don't have much to compare it to. Our margaritas were very tasty. The server was fantastic. He was very friendly and attentive, but not over the top. He asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We did get another round of drinks. And he refilled our waters, which I appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and will be returning! Thanks for a great experience!

The first time I ordered the walleye fish fry with fries and coleslaw, and we also tried a few oyster shooters with raw oysters and Bloody Mary mix. On our second visit, we came back specifically because we couldn't stop thinking about the seafood. We ordered six Blue Point oysters, I had the fried clam strips, and my husband ordered the oyster po' boy again because he said it was the best po' boy he's ever had. The oysters completely stole the show. They were incredibly fresh, perfectly briny, and absolutely delicious. If you're an oyster fan, don't skip them. Every bite of seafood we had tasted like it had just come off the boat, and knowing they also sell fresh seafood to take home only reinforced how much they prioritize quality. I also really enjoyed the strawberry banana daiquiri, which was refreshing after walking around the market, and my husband enjoyed his beer. The staff was friendly, our food came out quickly, and everything was well organized despite how busy they were. We sat at the counter both times, which ended up being a great choice because we got to watch them shuck oysters right in front of us. It was honestly fascinating to watch. They were so fast they made it look effortless. The Milwaukee Public Market itself is such a fun place to explore, and St. Paul Fish Company fits right into that energetic atmosphere. It gets very busy, but don't let that discourage you. The first time we found seats immediately, and the second time we were quoted about a 30-minute wait for the dining room. We ended up grabbing two seats at the counter after only about 10 minutes. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality makes it completely worth it. This is the kind of place where you don't mind paying a little extra because you can taste the difference. If you're visiting Milwaukee and enjoy fresh seafood, this place deserves a spot on your itinerary. We intentionally came back a second time during the same trip, and we'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town. If you only order one thing, make it the oysters. They're some of the freshest and best we've had.

It was delicious!! Literally no votes. Vegetables were tasty, fish cooked perfectly, and the sauce was perfect. Good drink prices and daily specials but didn't take advantage this time.

This was also my first trip to the collective as a whole, even though I spend a lot of time in that area. So the collective itself is cute, you have a lot of options in the same space. It can be a little noisy, but it wasn't so bad you couldn't hear. It was a bit distracting and made ordering a little more complicated but overall not super bad. As for the food, I ordered almost one of everything available for us to try. I was super excited to try them too, because honestly egg rolls are just amazing. Each egg roll order came with two egg rolls sliced in half and sat on a bed of French fries. Unfortunately I didn't walk away feeling like we won the flavor lottery. Each roll and filling combined their own distinct flavors but candidly they didn't have a lot of flavor. For example the Philly cheesesteak egg roll was good, but lacked the expected green pepper, onion, cheese flavor I expect from a Philly cheesesteak. The Chi, a play on vegan roast beef, had the oddest flavor to it. It wasn't bad, just really unexpected. We couldn't figure out what the flavor was. I felt it was a citrus flavor but that was just my take and even I am not confident in that. The hot chick (I think it was called) was the one I really wanted to try, because I love a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It pretty much just tasted like hot sauce with a little liquid smoke (which is gross and I smelled/tasted it in a lot of the foods and sauces). There weren't any other flavors I picked up on. I love Tabasco as much as the next person, but I was hopeful for more. I don't want to come off as disapproving of the food, honestly some people may love it and that's ok. It just wasn't for me. It's almost like in the process of frying the rolls they surrendered all flavor to a flavor that can only be described as bland fried food. I really wanted to love the food, but I can't lie about it. It was worth the shot to try something new, but it's a one and done for me.

It is clear they want to stay for a while and support the other vendors by increasing foot traffic. This is the kind of small business I like to support because they support their neighbors too!

But the filet mignon was great. Very well cooked and seasoned. Skipping the tenderloin, I went with the salmon, which was a tad dry. But perfectly seasoned. The grilled beans, onions and garlic were a great addition. I just wish it was a tad moist. Then it would have been perfect. Flourless chocolate cake was ok, but I had just had a better one at the Edison a day ago. Creme Broulee was right on though. Loved every bite. Overall, a classy restaurant that requires being well dressed (though I'm not sure that the dress code is enforced much) and professional service. But there was nothing that made me feel quite that "wow". It's what you expect for the price.
