This is my 2nd negative review in a month. I want to like this cafe...I really do. My friend had the pizza and it was very good. However, the turkey burger was not. The bun was so thick, it over powered the turkey burger which I never did get the taste of...it came with avocado however sloppy huge chunks, rather than thin slices. I think there was Gruyere Cheese, which was the selling point for me but alas, could not taste it...I'm sure it was there. I had to take off the top of the bun and eat open it face and it was still a chunky, tasteless mound of carbs with no fulfilling experience. Amateurish presentation at best///or worst? Not sure third time is a charm, in this case. I do hope that management/chef reads this....he should know better!! read more

I would not be caught dead eating a salad if I didn't have to, but this place somehow does it and I was happy about it. Caioti is a place we've passed by so many times, it really makes you wonder why I didn't stop sooner. While I ordered their bbq chicken pizza and only had a sampling of a salad from my partner, the kale in the salad was delicious, I'm more confused than anything, simply because I'm unsure of the magic required to make me rave about a salad of all things. The flavors of all the food feel robust, and worth plenty of praise too. Im 40 weeks + 5 pregnant and decided to come here to try THE salad! I'll update in the progress but wanted to leave a good review since I was super surprised with the food and service! Service was good, cafe layout is good. However I'm kinda disappointed about the food. The garlic knots were decent but tasted like they were just warmed up not made fresh. The salad was not good. And the pasta (I believe penne alla vodka?) it tasted like something that someone could easily make at home it was watery and had barely had taste to it. Got brunch with friend. Ordered Greek scramble with tater tots instead of standard potatoes on the side, and a cappuccino. Scramble was ok, although I did like the touch of kalamata olives. Added good flavor. Tater tots were awesome and the cappuccino pretty good as well. Staff were very friendly. I liked the interior of the cafe; cute place to hang. I had the bison meat pizza!! Grilled onions topped this cheesy and delicious master piece. The flavor was perfect and they're gonna tell you for the price. You really don't find a lot of places like this, but I had to have a bowl of the lentil soup. My companion enjoyed the iced coffee and it was delicious. The seating area is large and perfect for large parties or families and then out front. You can enjoy outdoor seating with a nice little fenced in area. I was very impressed. If you're looking for a nice and easy meal anytime of day this is the place to go! We like to sit outside and watch the Studio City crowd walk by on weekends. Service is always good and the food is reliable. Nothing out of this world food wise just your typical pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches but like I said before, reliable. This place is a must go. Had brunch here this morning and truthfully, we were walking by to eat at Aroma Cafe but stumbled across the menu at Caioti and wanted to check it out. I'm glad we did because this is so much better than Aroma. Our wonderful server, Gloria, welcomed and took care of us. She recommended the foods and drinks we ordered and they were absolutely delicious. Lobster Ravioli $22.95 - 5/5 Corn Beef Hash $15.45 - 4/5 I cannot get over how tasty the lobster ravioli was. It was coated in chipotle cream which complimented the seafood very well. Overall, the dining experience was great. It wasn't loud, plenty seating, bathroom is clean. A friend and I went on Super Bowl Sunday! Lots of take-out orders. We chose to dine-in. A small, cute space - nothing outrageous in terms of decor - nice and functional. I hadn't been to Caioti in years - not since its (and my) time in Laurel Canyon. There is something about a great pizza that truly satisfies. We shared the sausage pizza and the beet & goat cheese salad. Perfect. Delicious. (For those not in the know, this is the place that originated the bbq chicken pizza.) read more

I should probably have ordered a pizza her but for some reason I chose the Chinese chicken salad and was disappointed. It was made with kale that was really hard to chew and the grilled chicken on top smelled of their gas stove. The dressing was ok but overall very disappointing. I fixed that by ordering myself a delicious scone and cappuccino. The location is great, the service is great with great atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Delicious Italian restaurant in Studio City. Apparently one salad, called The The Salad, has made multiple women go into labor but i wasn't looking to have a kid so I got the Chopped Salad instead which was very sizeable ($15). I also tasted the grilled beet salad which was equally yummy. The Pesto Fusilli was creamy and garlicky goodness. Also tried their pizza. We came here because I wanted to naturally induce my labor so figured I'd try the famous labor induction salad!!! It unfortunately did not work but the salad was really delicious. The dressing is apparently the magic worker and I had two sides of it, but I still didn't go into labor on my own. I'm always perplexed about some of the reviews....The menu has remained the same essentially since they first moved onto Tujunga from Laurel Canyon.. no issues there. to be fair, i've been there only 5 times over the last 18 or so years, only once with a 100% good experience in both food and service. and not that they need my business anywho, but won't be going back. i was there for lunch and the service was awful, the dressing for the Caesar salad tasted like Bottled Cardelli gone bad, and the diced chicken was literally inedible.... hard and could even chew it. there were only 5 tables sat, parties or 2 and 3, and the waiter had to be flagged for any and all attention. the times i've been for dinner, have always disappointed (since the passing of the Owner/Chef). but they do well enough that they expanded their space not so long ago. good on them read more

It was my first time here. We ordered the Asian chicken salad and chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken on my salad was very dry and had a weird old taste to it so I ended up just eating the lettuce and oranges. Very disappointing. My partner tried the sandwich and said it was inedible due to the chicken so he ended up throwing the whole thing out. What a great hole in the wall neighborhood cafe! The garlic knots are AMAZING! I might have even just made that my meal had I known they were so delicious. My friend and I decided that we just wanted to order all of the appetizers and have those for dinner. My favorite standout app for the night (aside from dem bomb knots) was the caprese salad drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette. Parking was easy for a Monday evening. This place was recommended to me by a coworker as I was about 39 weeks pregnant at the time. He said they had a myth that one of their salads induced labor. When I reached 40 weeks my husband and I thought "eh, why not? Let's give it a try" and decided to check it out. We got the "The Salad", the Salsiccia pizza, and the lobster ravioli to go. We were so excited to try the food as it smelled so good on the way home. Salad - dressing was great! I personally like vinaigrettes so plus for me. It was a simple salad with romaine, walnuts, and cheese. I'm told the dressing was what helped induce labor supposedly. Lobster ravioli - O.M.G. Would definitely drive back just for this. The sauce was so good! I would compare it to being similar to Mama D's in Newport. Plenty of lobster and shrimp and the avocado slices were a nice touch. Salsiccia pizza - thin pizzas can be a hit or miss for me. But they made this so well! The crust was nice and crunchy, but still soft enough where there's a chew. Loved the sausage and mushroom combo. I am now almost 41 weeks pregnant so I guess the salad didn't work on me lol. But the food was so good! The pizzeria is small, located in Tujunga Village, a fun block to walk around and check out. We opted to seat outside, at a table on the sidewalk and people watch while waiting to oder our food. After hearing about it all these years, had to try the infamous "the salad." Paul at the front made my entire salad purchasing experience enjoyable from start to finish. He was friendly, informative, and kind! The place itself has the cutest "salad babies" wall for successful labor inducing salad babies as well as a notebook to sign for all who purchase the salad in hopes of inducing labor. I stopped by the Cafe with my parents after a concert, honestly I had no idea about "The salad " until it popped up on my Tik Tok the other day.
