I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Drippy Plumbing off Lorna Road in Hoover, Alabama! From…read morestart to finish, the experience was absolutely top-notch. I was scheduled for a service window between 8:30-10:00 AM this past Friday, and right at 8:00 AM I received a confirmation call from Laura, which I really appreciated. Even better, Pierce arrived promptly, just after 8:30AM and appeared extremely professional and ready to get to work. Pierce was extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I showed him the issues I was having with a toilet and two sinks, and he carefully explained what was going on in a way that made complete sense. He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The pricing was very reasonable, and they even offered bundling discounts, which made it an incredible value! (Especially for the level of professionalism and quality service they provide.) It is rare to find a company where you genuinely feel comfortable having someone in your home, but that's exactly how I felt with Pierce. From the moment you meet him, you know you can trust him -- supervised or unsupervised -- to do the job correctly and with integrity. Going forward, I will absolutely be requesting Pierce Winkler as our on-site plumber every time. If you need plumbing inspection, repair, installation, or replacement at a fair price and want a team that truly values professionalism and customer service, I highly recommend Mr. Drippy Plumbing. Pierce and Laura were outstanding!

Given all the things that had to be done along the way, the manager gave me a good deal on a couple of the other issues that were repaired, which made feel they were very value conscious. Among the firms that I reached out to through Yelp, they were the first on the site and ready to start work. I'd definitely use them again.

I reached out to Dunn initially through a Google search (after hours) and received an email and text message reply within 24hrs. I appreciate the prompt reply. I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

Negatives: I was charged $600 (in addition to the higher weekend fee to come out) for a repair that took 20 minutes and required no parts. It was two different charges that didn't really make sense because you couldn't have really done one without the other. It felt like I was taken advantage of as a single woman on a holiday weekend who didn't know how easy/quick the repair would be when I agreed to the cost. The service man also told me that the credit card payment on his tablet wasn't working so I had to pay by check. I wasn't planning to dispute a charge, but this made it to where I didn't have the option. I responded to two different text surveys with this rating and information and was assured both times that the service manager would follow up and they never did. My father also called multiple times and never got follow up. I was waiting until we heard back from them before I posted a negative review (I communicated this to them), but it's now been over 4 weeks. I have used them for repairs before without issue, but will not be using them again and would not recommend them to my friends/family/neighbors.

Ben and Amy came out the very next morning and did a fantastic job installing a new unit. They are very skilled and incredibly knowledgeable. They even showed extra care for my wife, who was working the night shift and having to sleep during the day. I cant recommend APP enough. I hope I never need them again, but they will be my first call if I ever do.

But I can't get to mad, because I knew our hot water heater would go out at some point with the age it was. And that day finally happened last week. Off I go to Yelp and one of the top places to pop up was Chapman Plumbing. I called and Jason said he would be able to come out that day to check it out. After a wife being forced to take a cold shower that morning, I knew time was going to be key to this. When he came out and took a look, my suspicions were correct that a new water heater had to be put in. Jason was definitely not a fan of our hot water heater being in the attic. But since that wasn't my decision and I agree its kind of stupid, I didn't mind his loathing. He was extremely personable and straight to the point. Which I appreciated. Unfortunately it was the afternoon when they came out. And with this being in the attic, it was going to take longer. So he wasn't able to fix it that day. But he did come out first thing the next morning. I though I was going to be in hot water (pun totally intended) with my wife. But she figured out a solution for that one day. And Jason got it taken care of before noon the next day. Overall the experience was great. I will definitely give them a call if I need a plumber. But crossing my fingers that won't happen anytime soon.
