The service man also told me that the credit card payment on his tablet wasn't working so I had to pay by check. I wasn't planning to dispute a charge, but this made it to where I didn't have the option. I responded to two different text surveys with this rating and information and was assured both times that the service manager would follow up and they never did. My father also called multiple times and never got follow up. I was waiting until we heard back from them before I posted a negative review (I communicated this to them), but it's now been over 4 weeks. I explained that the unit had been working before they serviced it. Because I was concerned about allowing any additional work to be performed on the unit, I asked them to leave and decided to get a second opinion. I paid another HVAC company $69 to inspect the system. That technician confirmed that the fan motor was not working, but also told me that the unit did not appear to have been serviced. Unfortunately, that company could not obtain the fan motor for approximately three weeks. Because I needed my air conditioning repaired, I contacted a third HVAC company. I paid that company $550 to replace the fan motor. That technician also told me that the unit did not appear to have been serviced and additionally pointed out that wires had been pinched on the unit. I contacted Service Experts and explained the entire situation. At a minimum, I requested reimbursement of the original $79 service charge because two subsequent HVAC professionals told me that the unit did not appear to have been serviced. Service Experts refused to reimburse me. In total, this experience cost me $698: * $79 - Service Experts * $69 - Second HVAC company/inspection * $550 - Third HVAC company/fan motor replacement I understand that mechanical components can fail unexpectedly, and I cannot definitively state what caused the fan motor to fail. However, I can state that my air conditioner was working before the Service Experts appointment, stopped working approximately one hour after their technician left, and two subsequent HVAC professionals independently told me that the unit did not appear to have been serviced. One of those technicians also identified pinched wiring. I am sharing my experience so that other consumers can take it into consideration when deciding who to trust with their HVAC system.

My basement renovation is being completed in phases, and the bathroom was the priority so it could be functional while we wait for the kitchen cabinets and counters to arrive. After payment was made, I had difficulty getting the bathroom portion fully completed. When he returned, the toilet was mounted but the remaining items needed to finish the bathroom were not installed. I was told the remaining parts could not be located, but they were actually in the shower area in the delivery boxes. When I asked about finishing the bathroom, I was told the work would not be completed until the kitchen cabinets arrive, which may be several weeks away. In my experience, the communication and customer service changed after payment was made. I was also asked to pay the full amount before the job was finished, which I later learned from the inspector is not always typical practice. Because the bathroom portion of the work remains incomplete and the timeline for finishing it is uncertain, this has been a frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I would likely choose a different contractor for future work. I am currently in the process of filing a complaint with the plumbers and gas fitters exhibiting board. I will also continue to seek legal action for the unfinished work as he has made it clear he will not do the work until he's ready to do it. Update: After a week he finally responded to an e-mail I sent to the company, and to my surprise, he contacted the City of Fultondale and came off the project (after I've paid him $4,000). I have left a message I received from him earlier regarding his conduct with customers.

I asked the supervisor for a breakdown of the cost between labor and material. He said that they don't give a breakdown. They appear to be hiding their labor cost, which seems to be very high. I wouldn't let the technician do the job and pay an $80 fee for the visit.
