Negatives: I was charged $600 (in addition to the higher weekend fee to come out) for a repair that took 20 minutes and required no parts. It was two different charges that didn't really make sense because you couldn't have really done one without the other. It felt like I was taken advantage of as a single woman on a holiday weekend who didn't know how easy/quick the repair would be when I agreed to the cost. The service man also told me that the credit card payment on his tablet wasn't working so I had to pay by check. I wasn't planning to dispute a charge, but this made it to where I didn't have the option. I responded to two different text surveys with this rating and information and was assured both times that the service manager would follow up and they never did. My father also called multiple times and never got follow up. I was waiting until we heard back from them before I posted a negative review (I communicated this to them), but it's now been over 4 weeks. I have used them for repairs before without issue, but will not be using them again and would not recommend them to my friends/family/neighbors.

Given all the things that had to be done along the way, the manager gave me a good deal on a couple of the other issues that were repaired, which made feel they were very value conscious. Among the firms that I reached out to through Yelp, they were the first on the site and ready to start work. I'd definitely use them again.

I reached out to Dunn initially through a Google search (after hours) and received an email and text message reply within 24hrs. I appreciate the prompt reply. I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

After researching the part online, I found the replacement cartridge available for less than $75. It appears to be a 30-minute job. I asked the supervisor for a breakdown of the cost between labor and material. He said that they don't give a breakdown. They appear to be hiding their labor cost, which seems to be very high. I wouldn't let the technician do the job and pay an $80 fee for the visit.

The plumber showed up on time, which initially seemed promising. I led him to the issue and clearly explained what needed fixing. He briefly touched the faucet handle and tapped the wall, then asked to inspect the plumbing from the basement. After glancing at the water lines leading to the bathroom, he informed me he'd step out to his vehicle to "write up a quote." About 20 minutes later, he returned with a legal pad and handed me a quote: approximately $1,700. The estimate included installation of shutoff valves in the basement -- completely unrelated to the original problem. Naturally, I declined and asked if he was going to address the leaking faucet, since that was the purpose of my call and I needed to resume my day. His response? "That's my quote. That's what I see needs to be done." At that point, I politely asked him to leave. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I was furious -- not only did he refuse to address the issue I called about, but he did so with an arrogant tone. I will never use Standard Heating, Cooling & Plumbing again, and I'll make sure others are equally informed. And yes, I still had to pay the $80.00 visit fee, despite the fact that he tried to inflate a minor repair into a major project I didn't ask for or need. I couldn't help but think: if I were a senior citizen, he might've had a field day. That's unacceptable.

First of all the man barely…read moresaid 10 words to me, second he tore up the dry wall, kicked over my cats litter box, dragged mud in the house(i would be willing to let this one go if not for all the other things it was pouring rain), tore up my yard coming and going, made nasty comments about my air filter being dirty when i'm a 19 year old on my own for the first time learning things about owning a home, and best off all charged me $300 to fix nothing and break it even more. He came to my home the first time and said the unit was frozen over and there was nothing he could really do(completely fair and understandable and he didn't charge me for this so that's appreciated). said he would get in touch with the secretary to schedule something for the next day which never happened. the next day he shows up and comes in and says it's still frozen over (it absolutely wasn't) then another person shows up and they start "working" i never saw a single tool brought into the house. over the course of about an hour they fiddled around and did a lot of standing and whispering. then they walked past me and said "here's the problem with your blower mower" and showed me a mouse. i live in the middle of the woods so you know it happens. thirty more minutes go by and he says "alright it should be working now. we did a wire repair and with the $89 service fee you're looking at about $319" never ever once in the time they were "working" on my unit did they think to stop and check in with me and tell me what was going on and give me an estimate. they did the "work" and just held out their hands for money. so i being a young female only home with another sleeping or sometimes half awake young female and a baby paid. because i've never done this before i dont know how these things are supposed to happen. i was pretty sure this wasn't it but what did i know. after paying and them leaving (drywall still pulled off the wall, litter box and litter still left a mess, and air filter taken out and sitting against my kitchen counter, no paperwork, no invoice, nothing but a "this type of stuff happens with older units and next time it does something like this i would look into getting it replaced") my air ran properly for maybe 30 minutes. and then it froze over once again. and then come to find out whatever wiring they did do was done incorrectly so now my brand new $130 thermostat that we just installed suspecting that was the problem no longer can connect to my unit and is useless. after my mother and boyfriend both spoke to them about the problems and how incorrectly this service was performed the secretary was rude and the technician was absolutely unhelpful. we were only ever given half way explanations and when asked about what cost how much all we were given was "well we even did some work we didn't charge for" . i still have no AC and i was given no explanation as to why i spent that money for seemingly absolutely nothing except a mess.
