Cafes Richard aka Cafe Dalayrac. The outside says Richard's and free receipt says Cafe Dalayrac. We went for breakfast. We ordered French and brunch. It's what you expect to receive. Good all around.

A small café as are most cafés in Paris proper. This café by the Opera is warm and home-y. The coffee is well-crafted although they could have been warmer and the desserts took much too long to come out after the coffee. But once they did come out, they were delicious. Definitely good at their craft, however, like the coffee, the desserts weren't as warm/hot as they could be. The space felt a little cramped but the company made it endurable. If you need a quick café, this isn't the one for you. But if you have time to kill and an affordable coffee/dessert, come by.

This will be a very short review of Cafes Richard. Try Cafe Richard if ever you're in Paris. I'm not sure if Cafes Richard exports their coffee abroad but they do serve their coffees in restaurants and cafes around Paris. The smell is very smooth and the taste is sharp. I feel like I'm writing a review for wine but their coffee is wonderful. It's a great way to kick off the morning or brunch. I forget the name of this quaint cafe across from the Pont Neuf on the Seine but had brunch here and they serve Cafes Richard. Maybe I was still high off the Parisian air or maybe it's because I'm a coffee lover and cafes are my thing. Either way, if you're like me: order a pound or two! You won't regret it.

The name of this place doesn't contain a typo; there really is an "s" at the end of "Cafés." I don't know why it's there, but this place otherwise doesn't really do much to distinguish itself from any other café. However, the interior is beautifully decorated. They have shelves holding model ships and pottery. On the walls, they have speakers hanging. The waiters here are quick and attentive. But the food here is just like what you would get at any ordinary place. Let's start with the croissants. They're not curved like the ones you might imagine; these ones are straight but puffy. They're a bit small and taste just okay, so there's not much to write about them. What is interesting here is these long breadsticks they have; they seem to be filled with butter already and they give you apricot jam to spread on these already-buttered breadsticks. Of course, when you take a bite into them, the apricot part is going to be the dominant flavor if you chose to add it, but it's quite an enjoyable blend and you wouldn't think that all these parts go so well together. Having the butter or whatever it is there might be pointless for all I know, but it was new to me and tasted good, so I'm not complaining. As for the drinks, well, I got coffee and orange juice. The orange juice is just orange juice. The coffee is frothy and comes with packets of sugar and a stirring spoon. Basically, it's just standard fare. I came here in the morning for breakfast, so I don't know how much they mix things up later in the day. I do know that all this food still kind of left me hungry after breakfast. There's a reason that people in the U.K. call this a continental breakfast. They apparently think that people in Mainland Europe eat lighter breakfasts unlike their heavier English breakfasts. If you're used to eating a lot right after waking up, you might want to order more here because you might otherwise end up disappointed.

Really good food and fast service. It had a sign that was written in CHINESE which attracted me to it. We ordered their chicken and mushroom and steak. It was well cooked. The food was delicious! Totally recommend any visitor to try their French cooking

Highly friendly to foreigners and fresh and delicate breads, and croissants! Love it w plenty of eating space and great Cappuccinos

This place is amazingly clean and the desserts and coffee were superb. I literally found this place the night before heading home, and I regret not finding this place sooner. You can see the locals getting their baguettes here every morning, so I should have explored it sooner. Highly recommend it. They don't speak much English but they try very hard to get your order right, so be patient :)

I also got a baguette to go, it was pretty good, not the greatest in Paris but way better than anything in the USA.

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location.
