Pick Try 2 Combo Southwest Potato & Green Chili Chicken Enchilada Chili Chicken Pesto Chicken Brisket Grilled Cheese
Judi B.

I have heard people rave about Cafe Zupas but for fear of high expectations due to all the hype, I waited to visit. I'm so regretful I waited. What an amazing meal. Ordered the try 2 deal. I had the chicken pesto sandwich with the chicken enchilada chili. Hubby had the brisket grilled cheese with the potato green chili soup. Meals came with a roll, chocolate covered strawberries and oyster crackers for the soup. Both sandwiches were incredibly fresh, bread was soft and the veggies were at the peak of perfection. Chicken pesto actually gave me a moment of pause where I thought I had tasted heaven. So scrumptious. The chili definitely held its own with being hearty, very tolerable spice level, with chunks of chicken. Definitely splurge for the tortilla strip topping. Hubby loved his brisket sandwich...he ordered without tomato, but it came with, which was the only bummer for him. Otherwise the brisket was fork tender and literally fell apart in his mouth. He gobbled that sandwich up in a hot minute which he never does. He was only so/so on the soup but he's not a fan of cilantro...I however, love it! Thought the soup was savory without being heavy. We were stuffed and opted to take the rolls and strawberries home. Had later and the rolls were soft with a mildly crusty outside. Excellent. Strawberries were the freshest I've ever seen with just enough chocolate to still help it relatively healthy. Cannot wait until I go back!

Tiny tomato on my "ultimate grilled cheese"

Never been to a Cafe Zupas before, driving through Boise and stopped. Salad and sandwich combo looked good. I ordered the mangoberry salad with roasted chicken and the ultimate grilled cheese combo. I did not ask for a roll or chocolate covered strawberry but received both. Maybe they came with it the combo? Not sure but they were additional options I could have selected. Wasn't sure they got my order correct at first. Salad had grilled chicken, not roasted. Not a huge deal but why offer both if you'll just get the grilled. The sandwich looked just like a regular grilled cheese as there were no tomatoes. Or at least none I could initially see. But I looked inside and there it was! The tiny slice of the tomato, one on each side. Everything tasted good and it was made quickly but I'm not too impressed overall.

I just moved to Idaho very recently and saw on Facebook a new location of a restaurant called "Cafe Zupas" was opening up in the Meridian area near ten mile rd. I have never been to a Cafe Zupas restaurant before today and just recently even heard of them but when I saw an event on Facebook I knew I had to attend their grand opening as they were offering half off an order, samples, free food every week for one month and chances to win more free food !! I'm so glad I attended as this cafe is just awesome!! The employees are so friendly and the food is outstanding! There's plenty of healthier options and something for everyone's taste buds here. It reminds me of Panera but it's WAY BETTER!!! I got the cranberry turkey brie sandwich and a Chipotle glazed chicken salad in a pick 2 combo which came with a small chocolate covered strawberry and dinner roll. I also tried their honey lemonade, the caramel brownie and a sample of their pumpkin chorizo and chicken enchilada soups. Everything was soooo dang delicious!!! I love the vibe here and I'll absolutely be back again very soon to get food for me and my fiancé!!

Food was great, they have an open bar that had several sauces and sides. They also have some fresh fruit options at the bar and that is not common at Korean bbq places. They offer both bbq and hot pot options for a very reasonable price. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. I also loved the cleanliness of the restaurant and music was enjoyable. I highly recommend this place, just a heads up, waiting times can be long, but well worth the waiting.

You order meats on an iPad, and there's a self-serve station with sauces, veggies, sides, and fruit. The meats were solid overall. My favorites were the beef tongue (9/10), mussels (8/10), and KPOT steak (9/10). I was a little disappointed they didn't have some menu items like pork cheek and finger ribs, but I still really enjoyed the experience. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and there were lots of veggies and sides to choose from. Their cocktails were delicious too, I had the lychee tini :P. Only thing I'd want them to add to the menu are steamed egg, kimchi stew/soft tofu stew, rice paper, unmarinated boneless short rib, and kimchi pancakes.

"Dear our loyal customers. We are writing to inform you of a significant transition that affects Ramen Sho. Effective March 19, 2025, we will sadly be closing our doors. It has been a pleasure serving our dishes to our customers, who became friends and family over the years since 2017, but it is time to say our goodbyes. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. Due to multiple determining factors, it has become impossible for us to keep the business going. We hope to open our doors again, should circumstances allow. Until then, we want you to know how much we value you as a customer. We encourage you to visit us in these last weeks and have one last meal.Once again, thank you for contributing to the memories we've made at Ramen Sho. It has been an honor serving you. With sincere gratitude,"

The service was quick and friendly! The interior is not really my taste - it felt like a teenaged boy's room. There's a lot of anime posters and Japanese artwork, so definitely driving in the Japan/anime especially with the artwork outside the storefront. The menus look like they need an update since it was pretty worn down and barely held together by a taped up binder ring. We ordered veggie egg rolls to share and I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The egg rolls were ok. The ramen was also ok - nothing impressive. The soup was ok, but not as creamy or rich as I prefer tonkotsu to be. The chashu was dry and chewy, so it could've used more cooking time. The noodles had a great texture and the half boiled egg was delicious. I wish there were bamboo shoots as well but not a personal dealbreaker. All in all, it's an okay ramen restaurant that's on the affordable side.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

The rib appetizer was also cooked to dry bones. The steak fritters were battered and deep fried? Why in the world would you do that to a perfectly good piece of meat? My guess is because it wasn't a good piece of meat. That also was overcooked and just weird. Definitely overpriced as the food was not good. Maybe they have something they are known for and we missed something? Either way, too many options out there to ever try again. It was a miss for us. The set up and ambiance was nice and they were very busy so people must like it. We sat at the bar and service was fine.
