My favorite item on the menu is actually the fries, when they are piping hot out of the fryer, and dip in their fry sauce, it is heavenly! Wash it all down with an ice cold coke. read more

Gyro Shack - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Delicious! I really enjoyed how thoughtful my order was made and delivered third party! That's rare! I'll be back!

These are the BEST gyros I've ever had! Lots of meat! (I first began eating gyros in Denver in 1984.) Try their spicy gyro with crinkle-cut fries and a side of gyro (tzatziki) sauce to dip them in. HOLY MAMA!!! Yeah! read more

Amazing service and the lady that helped me is truly great at her job! 10/10 would recommend

Great, fresh food. Service is fine and the dining room is clean. Food is prepared quickly too. I like eating here a lot.

I love this place! Great food, great customer service, everyone has a wonderful attitude. And you're in and out of that drive-through really really fast. I crave coming to Boise just to go here. Thank you. read more

i've been to Gyro Shack about twice a month for the past year. The people who work here are always nice- every time the food has never disappointed- very fresh read more

I love the food here. My favorite lunch spot and it fills you up without feeling overstuffed. Great staff too!

The young people who work there seem uninterested in being there and make little effort in offering attentive and welcoming customer service. It has been like this for years now. The food is usually fine, but they make too many mistakes. Ordered a rice bowl (got a salad), cheese left off of gyro, and received a Pepsi instead of a Dr. Pepper. Three out of four things wrong. Feels like they need new management to change the overall culture of the place. read more

Million dollar question, Where's the manager?! Walked in trash everywhere, then waited a good 5 minutes before anyone even addressed us! Don't go to this location on your lunch break, takes a good hour just to get a hello! Then the dude cooking had his girlfriend was just hanging out in the lobby the whole time we were there! Definitely should be in a ratchet area with the crew they have! Food was good though! read more

Always am waiting on my food when three people are in the back and theirs one guy on the line. 20+ minute wait on any order. Wish they were better. Also I was the only order they had. Literally one person. 25 minute wait read more

I've been to Gyro Shack numerous times, way too many to count. I went on 11-18 with a friend who rarely goes. The gyro tasted good, but the amount of ingredients waned in comparison to what is usually in the pita. In all reality, it was weak and disappointing. Just a look at the pic tells all, they are usually stuffed full. I hope my next visit to one of these Shacks is much better. read more

Gyro Shack - Underwhelming amount of ingredients. - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Love this place. The original gyro is delicious consistently as are the regular fries.

Excellent food! I especially love the French Fries & Fry Sauce! We were greeted by a friendly cashier who wished us a great day when we left and the dining room was clean! We will be back! read more

Great Gyros meat from Chicago, always friendly and generous with portions, just wish they'd bring their truck near me more ofter or open a Mountain Home shop. read more

$18 plus for 2 gyros we went through the drive through and canceled our order because of the prices. What the heck happened to great prices for great food? I get pricing changes but this is ridiculous. Maybe the Gyro Shack over built big brick and mortar restaurants in high rent locations and is carrying too much debt now, who knows? All I know is I'm no longer a patron because of the high prices. read more

I'm giving it 5 stars based on I've never had a group that I enjoyed this much. Especially if your in the mood for a small and quick bite it doesn't cost 10 bucks but around 5. Sliggtly warm and the bread is really soft. The veggie patty is soft as well and not crunch as you usually find for a literal vegetable patty. I got mine with avalado for a buck more which I think worked well. read more

Gyro Shack - Veggie Gyro (plus avacado) - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

This place has not much to do with the original Gyro Shack. They have no clue how to make an authentic greek Gyro. The meat is cut before it's brown and they put it in a heated container!!!! WTF, that needs to go fresh onto your gyro! Stay away if you have european roots, you'll be disappointed. read more

Gyro Shack - a man working at the counter - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

My first time here! I jokingly told the manager it was so yucky that I inhaled it! Lol, Spicy bacon avocado, delish from first bite to last! Fries were hot and crispy, you get a cup full of fries for your combo! The amount of food you get is Samoan style worthy! We were so full, we couldn't eat the pita melt we ordered on the side! This food is slap your own face delish! Well worth the prices! We will be back ASAP and we live an hour away! Awesome, outstanding job! (foverí exairetikí douleiá) Thank you read more

I used to eat at the Gyro Shack on Ustick...different company...and would drool for their Spicy Original. This place had 3 high school kids working who were ok, but really didn't want to be there. When I was finally able to get across to them that I wanted the Original but with spicy sauce. Apparently their idea of spicy sauce is Mexican salsa...Red or Green. This tells me that the owners either don't care, or are too busy opening new locations to keep track of their restaurants. read more

One of my favorite joints for lunch in Boise. I have no idea if it's legit Greek but it sure seems that way. Spicy Bacon Avocado or the "Z" are the gyros to get. Bummed they don't serve beer anymore. read more

Stopped here while traveling through the area and we needed a break. Costco was close to get gas and we found this place close by. The restaurant was clean and the young employees were very friendly. I ordered the spicy bowl and I thought all the ingredients were good but the meat. The meat tasted dry to me. The rice, lettuce, and other items in the bowl water good though. My kid had a gyro and ate the whole thing and my wife got a chicken gyro and liked it. We did not order fires or any other sides. I'd stop again and see if the meat was better. read more

When I was working at Gyro Shack I felt attacked, and used. No one understood me and the managers there would not let me express myself. Each one of the managers would schedule workers with new employees, and would never train them. When things went down hill, the managers blamed everyone but themselves making everyone quit. P.S. Save your money and go to Coby's next store read more

Grilled chicken was good. Had to come here last second last night after another restaurant cancelled our order after 40 minutes.. super lame.. We called Gyro Shack over 3 times and no one picked the dang phone up so my husband left to go place the order there since we live right down the street.. it took him forever and when he got back all of our food was cold, they forgot the most important meal of all.. my DAUGHTERS! And my side salad. So mad husband called and I called and no one picked up so he had to drive back and get her meal.. ugh what joke ruined our night. How is the good going to be cold??? We literally live right there. Ugh.. never coming back read more

The Gyro Shack offers up fresh, tasty eats at ridiculously reasonable prices and they're lightning fast to boot. Ordered their Greek Salad Pita and was pleased with the ample serving sizes and the quality, fresh ingredients. They have a large menu with items that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. They even have a "pita melt," which is a pita bread style grilled cheese and which my eleven year old thinks is fine cuisine, indeed. It's basically a drive-thru, but they do have a couple of outdoor picnic tables if the weather is fine and you'd like to sit and enjoy your gyro rather than taking it to go. The service is always fast and friendly. And, finally: baklava! Get to it! read more

Very fresh and tasty. I used the spicy sauce and it was approx 4 to 5 on a scale to 10. That's very subjective. Service was great and clean inside. read more

The gyros are wonderful - a really nice variety. The service is always lovely and friendly. Their corporate needs to figure out the credit card tipping. Employees are missing out on tips they deserve because the software doesn't work. Please fix that read more

Its not a shack anymore. Except for the name. It's now a dine-in restaurant. They do have a drive through on the side of the building for "to go" orders but the old shack 30 yards away, is now closed. This remodeling job was nicely done, so the newbies might never guess this was once a pizza joint. There is a great lunch deal with a build your own pita option. Their Tropicana fountain lemonade is way better than Minute Maid. Their sandwiches are awesome, as most reviewers have already indicated. OPA! read more

Wonderful to have a drive thru available! Staff was super nice and food was tasty. Ordered a gyro and salad! Yum! Salad was delicious. Fresh lettuce, feta, olives. I would I go just for it. Gyro was good. Very filling but I wasn't sure about by the meat. I will try the chicken next time, perhaps won't look so "fake". It was good, don't get me wrong. I'll be back! read more

Gyro Shack - Gyro Spicy Bacon Avocado Salad and Deluxe Gyro Combo - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

For fast food this is the place to go! For how quick and good this place is it is a definite place to try out. I usually get the original gyro but this time tried the deluxe gyro! Both are amazing and you get a decent about of food for the price. I would recommend the deluxe over the original though because the feta cheese comes with the deluxe and I felt that made it taste a lot better. My friend tried the super gyro and that looked delicious! Her only complaint about that one was that she felt it was weird that the hummus and tzatziki sauce were both on the same gyro. Even though the car line was about 5 cars when we went, they still were able to get our food out quickly. Overall give this place a try. Great foot for a great price (it does look like sometime in the near future they are building an actual gyro shack building next to the gyro Shack on overland so that will be awesome to try that out when it's done)! read more

Gyro Shack - Greek Near Me - Boise, Idaho

So the photos of the menu for this location has certainly changed. I paid $8.99 for a salad (albeit a great tasting salad) and another $6.99 for the gyro. I only ate a small amount of the Greek salad, but it was the best tasting salad with very fresh ingredients. I, however, didn't feel the same about the salad once I refrigerated it and tried to eat some of it-- this goes to show how fresh their products are. The service was extremely friendly and fast. I am no cheapskate, but I think it's just a little to expensive for a place that has zero sitting and a small portions (the salad). The Gyro was nice sized. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. read more

The Greek fries are on point. Just enough feta and oregano to take the fries up a notch. Plus the gyros are dynamite. Thanks

I'll just dive right in and say that I was delightfully surprised by how 1) yummy and 2) budget friendly The Gyro Shack is! I had their "Delux Gyro" and it cost me a little bit over $5. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's hard to find a bite for $5 that is actually really good--and this was. Added bonus, they are super fast. I'd say I got my gyro in less than 5 minutes. No rant about the vibe as this place is quite literally a shack. Overall thoughts? Cheap, quick, and YUMMY! read more

I write this review after having ordered food from here many times, but never being satisfied with my order. This review is based mostly on my experience with online ordering. I have ordered a salad online from them at least 5 times, and I have NEVER once gotten what I ordered. They shouldn't have the option to customize an order online if they aren't going to follow it. Every single time, stuff is left off. The only reason I've kept trying is because they are close to my work. Also the amount of feta they put on the salad is offensive. They shouldn't even say it comes with feta because it basically doesn't. There are way better greek/Mediterranean places in town to go to. read more
