The young people who work there seem uninterested in being there and make little effort in offering attentive and welcoming customer service. It has been like this for years now. I've been to Gyro Shack numerous times, way too many to count. I went on 11-18 with a friend who rarely goes. The gyro tasted good, but the amount of ingredients waned in comparison to what is usually in the pita. In all reality, it was weak and disappointing. Just a look at the pic tells all, they are usually stuffed full. I hope my next visit to one of these Shacks is much better. read more

I used to eat at the Gyro Shack on Ustick...different company...and would drool for their Spicy Original. This place had 3 high school kids working who were ok, but really didn't want to be there. When I was finally able to get across to them that I wanted the Original but with spicy sauce. Apparently their idea of spicy sauce is Mexican salsa...Red or Green. Sliggtly warm and the bread is really soft. The veggie patty is soft as well and not crunch as you usually find for a literal vegetable patty. Stopped here while traveling through the area and we needed a break. Costco was close to get gas and we found this place close by. The restaurant was clean and the young employees were very friendly. I ordered the spicy bowl and I thought all the ingredients were good but the meat. The meat tasted dry to me. The rice, lettuce, and other items in the bowl water good though. My kid had a gyro and ate the whole thing and my wife got a chicken gyro and liked it. We did not order fires or any other sides. I'd stop again and see if the meat was better. read more

The Gyro Shack offers up fresh, tasty eats at ridiculously reasonable prices and they're lightning fast to boot. Ordered their Greek Salad Pita and was pleased with the ample serving sizes and the quality, fresh ingredients. They have a large menu with items that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. They even have a "pita melt," which is a pita bread style grilled cheese and which my eleven year old thinks is fine cuisine, indeed. It's basically a drive-thru, but they do have a couple of outdoor picnic tables if the weather is fine and you'd like to sit and enjoy your gyro rather than taking it to go. Its not a shack anymore. Except for the name. It's now a dine-in restaurant. They do have a drive through on the side of the building for "to go" orders but the old shack 30 yards away, is now closed. This remodeling job was nicely done, so the newbies might never guess this was once a pizza joint. There is a great lunch deal with a build your own pita option. Their Tropicana fountain lemonade is way better than Minute Maid. Their sandwiches are awesome, as most reviewers have already indicated. OPA! read more

For fast food this is the place to go! For how quick and good this place is it is a definite place to try out. I usually get the original gyro but this time tried the deluxe gyro! Both are amazing and you get a decent about of food for the price. I would recommend the deluxe over the original though because the feta cheese comes with the deluxe and I felt that made it taste a lot better. My friend tried the super gyro and that looked delicious! Her only complaint about that one was that she felt it was weird that the hummus and tzatziki sauce were both on the same gyro. Even though the car line was about 5 cars when we went, they still were able to get our food out quickly. Overall give this place a try. Great foot for a great price (it does look like sometime in the near future they are building an actual gyro shack building next to the gyro Shack on overland so that will be awesome to try that out when it's done)! read more

So the photos of the menu for this location has certainly changed. I paid $8.99 for a salad (albeit a great tasting salad) and another $6.99 for the gyro. I only ate a small amount of the Greek salad, but it was the best tasting salad with very fresh ingredients. I, however, didn't feel the same about the salad once I refrigerated it and tried to eat some of it-- this goes to show how fresh their products are. The service was extremely friendly and fast. I am no cheapskate, but I think it's just a little to expensive for a place that has zero sitting and a small portions (the salad). The Gyro was nice sized. I'll just dive right in and say that I was delightfully surprised by how 1) yummy and 2) budget friendly The Gyro Shack is! I had their "Delux Gyro" and it cost me a little bit over $5. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's hard to find a bite for $5 that is actually really good--and this was. Added bonus, they are super fast. I'd say I got my gyro in less than 5 minutes. I write this review after having ordered food from here many times, but never being satisfied with my order. This review is based mostly on my experience with online ordering. I have ordered a salad online from them at least 5 times, and I have NEVER once gotten what I ordered. They shouldn't have the option to customize an order online if they aren't going to follow it. Every single time, stuff is left off. The only reason I've kept trying is because they are close to my work. Also the amount of feta they put on the salad is offensive. They shouldn't even say it comes with feta because it basically doesn't. There are way better greek/Mediterranean places in town to go to. read more
