I stopped by the restaurant this past Saturday for breakfast. I've patronized the location before but, only for lunch and dinner items. The female server and staff were friendly and accommodating as I did ask questions regarding their menu and Wi-Fi service. I eventually decided to get their combination meal which came with Two Eggs, Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Cheese, French Fries and Cuban Bread. Whew!... Just writing that sentence made me full. The meal itself was good however, the star of the show was the Cuban Bread which was thin and crunchy on the outside and nicely buttered, soft and airy on the inside. The only quibble I had was the cleanliness of the interior as there were a few booths which were not wiped down from the previous customers. They also only serve bottled water which I realized after the server provided me the bottle at my table. The restaurant charged a reasonable $1.25 for the bottle but, the restaurant should make visitors aware they do not serve tap water.
We came here for a quick lunch as it was conveniently located inside the plaza we were in. It's a casual spot with some many people getting takeout as well as dining in. I ordered the vaca frita and my partner got the tripleta sandwich. The portions were generous and the food was very good. We also both got fruit juices to drink and next time I'm in Orlando I would come back just for the guava juice!
Yummy pit stop. Cafe con leche is really good. Friendly service and lots of options. The masked plantain didn't have much flavor. I was hoping for a bit of mofongo touch! But the rest was good for a quick breakfast! Lunch looked amazing as we saw them Bringing all the food out for the buffet like option. Looks like you walk by and they have it ready and you choose what you want! Would definitely do that next time. The gps took us to a gas station and we had to go farther down the street in the target parking lot. Across the street from 7-11. We were bummed there was no crema for the platanos frito but we no the Cubans don't usually have it but they should!! LOL
What a pleasant surprise! We popped in here while shopping in the area nearby. It is a modest place with a few indoor seats and an easy to review menu. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken and rice, which was very tasty! There was more than enough to take leftovers home and they were just as delicious the second time around. They served everything in re-usable, take-home containers, which was super handy and was a nice touch to know that it was all new and safe with COVID. Overall: A+ A wonderful surprise that we will absolutely be adding in to our regular rotation of food adventures. :)
Desperate to find traditional beef empanadas, I went to Pinar expecting not a lot. I felt I had driven all over the "Disney area," searching for a SIMPLE carne empanada with no questionable "filling." All I was looking for was a morning snack . They hit my mark. The empanadas were freshly dropped when I ordered and steaming hot when they came to me. I was looking for the simple perks of Cuban food and finally found quality! My only "ugh" was there was no Verde sauce, but the juego de mango graciously made up for it. I want to stop by to try their entrees. The ropa viejo, per someone's order, looked GOOD.
I was shopping at FLorida Mall and wanted to grab lunch and saw this place nearby. This is definitely one of my favorite place in Orlando so far. Service was amazing. The staff was very nice and considerate. While I was ordering my food, the person kept asking me if i want this or that and if i rather have this or that and even let me choose which pieces of protein i wanted! I ordered the daily lunch special which came with a quarter leg of chicken, either potatoes or sweet plantains, and rice with beans. I got the sweet plantains and asked if i can get a salad instead of the rice. All of it was for $6 with high quality food!!! And the portion was very generous. The chicken along was pretty decent in size. and it was so tender (falling off the bone). As I was eating, I kept looking at the menu to see what I can order next when I come back...I think I want to try their breakfast or their sandwiches lol Definitely a hole in the wall as it's located in a small strip mall. I probably wouldn't even notice it if it wasn't for yelp.
Food is good but dang the attitude that all the women have there is terrible. I did a phone order for two sandwiches and two drinks. Lady said 5-10 min. Ended up waiting 30 minutes. First, didn't let my bf know that they received orders but that they were backed up. Two, gave dirty looks, dances and laughing at him? Opened my sandwich tray and had thrown the fries INSIDE the sandwich. Definitely done on purpose. All they had to do is let him know the status and apologize for the delay. The attitude at my bf wasn't necessary.

I ordered the passion fruit drink and the beef with potatoes, yellow rice and black beans and plantains. The plantains were a little dry or maybe over cooked.
Amazing! I stopped in on the way to the Crayola Experience during a recent family vacation. I was worried the kids wouldn't find anything they like but I was wrong. This was enjoyed by all! Our party ranged in age from 2 years old to 80 years old. In the event your kids are not adventurous, they do have a kids menu with the traditional options of grilled cheese and chicken fingers. Excellent service. Clean. Many food options to choose from. Authentic Cuban. The buffet style service is a terrific idea. You get to see each option before making your selection.
We went here for the first time a couple weeks ago, and wow, did this place exceed my expectations! We were doing some shopping nearby and looking for lunch ideas. We love Cuban food, but had never tried Cafe Pinar, so decided to give it a chance. From the outside, it's not much to look at. Once inside, it's a smallish place, and they encouraged us to grab a paper menu (we were there during COVID) and take a seat anywhere. They have the typical offerings you'd expect from a Cuban restaurant in Florida: empanadas, croquettas, medianoche and other Cuban sandwiches, and a variety of beef, chicken and pork dishes. I ordered the Ropa Vieja lunch special with black beans and rice - one of my go-to Cuban dishes. If you haven't had ropa before, it's shredded beef cooked with garlic, onions, bell peppers, wine, and tomato sauce. Delicious! The food was sooooo good! The portions were huge, and the prices were dirt cheap. This may have been pandemic pricing, but we got two lunch specials (my Ropa Vieja and Stacy's Arroz con Pollo a la Cubana) and an order of ham croquettas for ~$20 ... including tax! Overall, this was a great food experience, and I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu!
This place has some of the best Cuban food around; you can tell because the owner is from Cuba and the food is made with love. I've tried a variety of dishes here (from the pork, to the picadillo, to my personal favorite--the medianoche, or midnight, sandwich). The latter dish is simple, but surprisingly easy to screw up. For one, they use the correct bread (a special, sweet-potato-like), as opposed to traditional Cuban or white bread. The pork is always juicy, not dry, and the proportion of meat to cheese to condiments is correct. The sandwich is also pressed properly such that it is crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. And at $6.49, it is a steal. I will always return for good, authentic Cuban food when in the area.
We don't live in the area but anytime we come down to Orlando this is a must stop! Authentic Cuban food! They just don't have this where we are from!

A good empanada jam and cheese and a cortadito after 20 miles bicycle ride . sorry if I give always 5 starts but is the only place around in Deerfield beach I can park my ($$) bike with a clear view all the time. read more

Its a bit confusing because it seems like this place has been renamed to Papazzito Coffee Bar. Great customer service; this is a mostly Spanish speaking establishment but the wait staff were incredibly patient with us and welcoming. For unbeatable pricing, the food we got as incredibly well-seasoned and well portioned. I recommend any of the ethnic dishes as my group tried about half of what was on display and they all tasted great. We ate two plates there and also took food to go. The oxtail was cooked exactly as it should be where the collagen is nice and chewy, with meat falling off the bone. All the meat we tried was moist and tender. For $4 you can get hefty empanadas and we tried and loved the chicken, beef and cheese filled ones. The tamale was also delicious. The food looked like it was made with wholesome ingredients and care. The cortadito was nice and strong - incredibly efficient for a small shot as we woke up after eating all that food. They serve a variety of drink flavors like guayabano and mamey. I got a mamey smoothie and enjoyed the creamy almost melon-like but novel flavor for me. For novelty, value, and delicious cultural cuisine, this place etched a core memory in that we paid more at whole foods and got more thrill from the flavorful experience at Papazzito Coffee Bar. read more
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Orlando. We literally come here all the time. On this visit I got my customary beef empanadas and passion fruit juice. Be advised that there is sometimes a language barrier so be clear about what you want. I got my order in a timely fashion and it was delicious as usual. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Cuban food in Orlando. read more

We stopped in for breakfast. Everyone I was with needed COFFEE and I am told Café Pinar fits the bill perfectly. I on the other had had a fresh juice, emphasis on fresh. For breakfast we all ordered eggs, ham, Cuban bread and various sides. Everything was done correctly. They enjoy life and you can tell there is a sense of humor based on the sign hanging on the counter about marriage. read more

What a gem! I came across this place by mistake while searching for a breakfast place. Around 11am went with a pal. Seated and served very quickly. Loved the Cuban coffee. Our meals were cooked to order, took 10 minutes or so. The steak was amazing and the salmon was juicy and flavorful! The Cuban rice was amazing as well. Ended up eating lunch early that day, they also have a lot of breakfast options. Friendly host, reasonable price. Highly recommend! read more

I wanted to try a new spot for breakfast, and we decided to check out Café Pinar. You seat yourself and your order will be taken. This place serves amazing cafe con leche. And they probably have one of the best Cubans around. It was a huge sandwich, btw. I really want to try them out for lunch. Their lunch specials are $4.99! Overall, 4 stars. read more

I am back here for lunch now and cannot help updating my review. I wish I could rate 6 stars for this place. They deserve more than 5 in my opinion. As soon as I stepped in I was greeted by the familiar face gentleman (owner) and he himself helped me with my lunch selection. Although I really love their Cuban sandwich, black beans, chicken, etc., I am always interested in trying something new so it was perfect that he helped me. I took his recommendation and chose roast pork for the meat. It had a lot of good flavor and so delicious. With it I had black bean rice, potatos and yucca with garlicky oil. Everything was great. The whole meal with a can of CoCo Rico was only $8.51. Cafe Pinar is a super delicious, super reasonably priced and super nice service Cuban restaurant! I only wish I could come to Orlando more often! read more

Had to try some authentic Cuban food while in Florida. Came accross Pinar and so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious. Had the cuban steak sandwich and steak, egg and cuban bread breakfast meal which were both so delicious. The Cuban bread was my favorite and their Cuban coffee was so smooth and satisfying. Their fresh Guava juice was also absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place if your looking to tey some delicious authentic Cuban Food! read more

There is nothing I can say other than it was beyond awesome and a great value for my dollar. The fried green plantains were fresh and delicious. The coffee was outstanding as you would expect. My Cuban sandwich was more than just hearty. It was huge and delicious and perfectly prepared. Everyone is friendly and the place is very clean. My friend and I enjoyed the fast service and friendly servers. Go by and enjoy what is the best Cuban food in Orlando, possibly Florida even. read more

Nice small place, great menu selection, phenomenal prices, and really good food! I've had the bacaloa twice already. They also have a "ready made" selection. Kind of a cafeteria-like selection for quicker service, I think. PS Their eggs look so perfect!! Can't wait to try them. read more
