My 2 complaints would be the staff is not friendly. The one older lady is pretty rude actually (at least the 3 times I've been there) and the bathroom is HORRENDOUS. Not only is it run down and musty but dirty too. I normally wouldn't even attempt to use it but because I am normally on my way back home to Tampa when I have visited that was why I even attempted it. You have to ask for a key at the counter and the lady always acts as if you are bothering her by asking for it.

We drove over 30 minutes specifically because we had our hearts set on trying their bacalaitos appetizer, only to arrive and find out they were sold out. Thankfully, dinner itself was absolutely delicious, so we were still very happy with our meal. When it came time for dessert, however, our crème brûlée wasn't executed as it should have been. Our server, Maira, explained that they were having trouble caramelizing the sugar. Unfortunately, it wasn't successful, and we ultimately had to send it back. What stood out to us was how the staff handled the situation. Maira immediately and sincerely apologized and, without hesitation, told us the dessert would be removed from our check. Shortly afterward, the restaurant manager, Ramon, came over personally to apologize as well. Then came the surprise: the bacalaitos we had originally come for had finally arrived. Ramon told us and went a step further by giving us an order to take home. He absolutely did not have to do that. The restaurant had already handled the dessert issue appropriately and had done the right thing. But he chose to go above and beyond. That kind of service is becoming increasingly rare, and we truly appreciated it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. So, every time we're in Orlando, this restaurant will now be an automatic pit stop for us. Sometimes, it's not about everything being perfect. It's about how a business responds when something isn't. And this team handled it exactly right.

Our drink orders were taken quickly and my sangria was really delicious. To start, we ordered fried cheese which was served with a very tasty guava sauce. The portion was a good size and we very much enjoyed it. My daughter ordered Steak & Onion with beans and rice for sides, and the portion was also a good size. I ordered Pork Pernil with Mofongo, and although flavorful, both the pork and the Mofongo were on the dry side compared to what I've had in other Dominican restaurants. The pernil was accompanied by two pieces of Chicharrón, which were crispy and delicious. They were an unexpected surprise and were my favorite part of the entree! This restaurant is very clean and attractively decorated. If we are in the area again, I might go back to try other items. The dessert list looked great, so next time I'll be sure to save some room for sweets!
