Decided to visit this location after dropping my mom in her sister house, was looking for some soup for my mom and I found GOLD!! Love this location, servers were super nice, profesional and educational, they offered me the special lunch option which I thought it was going to be a small portion due to its price (around 12$) but I was wrong!! Ordered a chicken soup - green salad - white rice - plantain and grilled chicken for my mom & I ordered a auyama soup - green salad - tostones - rice with gandules and pepper steak... WHAT A NICE COMBINATION THAT WAS!!! Fully recommend go give it a try if your are looking for a different lunch options in a house lunch style! 1000000 of 10! read more

Chimiking - Dominican Near Me - Kissimmee, Florida

We visited last week and arrived around 8pm. We were the only patrons in the restaurant and the service was excellent. Our drink orders were taken quickly and my sangria was really delicious. To start, we ordered fried cheese which was served with a very tasty guava sauce. The portion was a good size and we very much enjoyed it. My daughter ordered Steak & Onion with beans and rice for sides, and the portion was also a good size. I ordered Pork Pernil with Mofongo, and although flavorful, both the pork and the Mofongo were on the dry side compared to what I've had in other Dominican restaurants. The pernil was accompanied by two pieces of Chicharrón, which were crispy and delicious. They were an unexpected surprise and were my favorite part of the entree! This restaurant is very clean and attractively decorated. If we are in the area again, I might go back to try other items. The dessert list looked great, so next time I'll be sure to save some room for sweets! read more

The food was mediocre at its best. My wife and I ate lunch at this place last week. We ordered the Spanish sausage for appetizer (salty), I had the goat stew (salty) with yellow rice and my wife had the picana steak (meat was tough) with yellow rice. The place looked nice inside and the service was good but a little expensive. read more

The Chimiking franchises can vary depending on what you order. This location was great and they were fast with the orders and made sure to get our food out as soon as possible even though I was on a lunch break. Parking lot a little small , but not too crowded since we got there for 11am, which is their opening hours. I really enjoyed their chimi burger , it was so delicious , flavorful , and the fresh lemonade was the best pair. Fries still had This oily/greasy taste, but it was fried to the right crispy texture. It was quiet for the most part until lunch hour hit, but I would definitely recommend coming out here to try their amazing dishes and options! read more

Customer service....The lady just cancelled my order after waiting already 10/15 min and then says she meant to adjust the order because they had no cheese, so u cancel an entire order????. sMH get people that know how to do there job!!! read more

Here's my honest review: great food, we come back solely because of their flavors. I must say tho, the wait time is a little too much. When ordering ahead for pick up, they'll say "25 minutes" but in reality it's more closer to 50-60 minutes. So just come prepared if you plan on dining in. On this last visit, it was a takeout and had it not been for my son asking for his coke, we would have left without it. I ordered 3 cokes to go and the waitress had completely forgotten to prep them. But again, it's a delicious restaurant with lots of variety and great prices, just with the waiting, I'm not so sure others might of endured. read more

Very disappointed. The menu is laid out very confusing. This is the first restaurant the mofongo is not separated out. We expected to receive 4 plates of mofongo and ended up with 1. I ordered the shrimp mofongo and was asked if I wanted rice and beans which I was very confused about and asked if it came with rice and beans which she said yes. I said it was weird never been to a place that give sides with that. (Should have been an indication to repeat the order back to us). I also asked if the sauce for the shrimp was not cream which she said yes, cause I cannot eat cream. The rest of my group order another shrimp mofongo and a chicken, bacon cheese mofongo. We ended up with 2 orders of shrimp in a creme sauce, rice, beans and tostones. The other plate was fried chicken, cheese, bacon with rice and beans. The chicken on the menu did not indicate it was fried. If you look at the top of the menu it specifically says mashed fried plantains which is mofongo and we specifically asked where were the mofongo options because we saw it in the photos. One of the plates for the cream sauce situation she did ask to fix it however I am not big on sending food back it's uncomfortable for me and everyone else already had there food which we would have had to wait for a new plate to be made so I just asked for pernil something I knew would be a quick fix. The pernil was half dry and half juicy. The chicken was also dry. The shrimp was good and the 1 mofongo received. We also asked for 3 cups of water and received bottle water we were charged for. read more

Clean and friendly staff, I don't know why the food didn't taste as good as the other locations, four stars are for the prices I feel they bumped them up to much for what you get. In all clean place well decorated and friendly staff. read more

Was in the area and saw this restaurant and it did t look to busy considering it was a Saturday night so we gave it a try. Inside is a bit small but still cute. The food was good and came out fast! Will go back for the dinner meals as we only tried the chimi burger and the Yaroa (which is fries with chicken and sauce). read more

I enjoyed this restaurant very much. It offered all the foods my husband grew up eating, and all my favorite foods that I enjoy gorging on. This restaurant was impressive for me. I'm a stickler for a clean table, clean booth, clean silverware, clean glasses, and dishes. There silverware looked like it had just been polished, and there were no caked on food, or hard water spots on the silverware, or glasses. (My pet peeve, sorry). I love that they serve piping hot large portions, because I like taking food home. I loved their mofongo, tostones, arroz con camarones, yucca, and beans and rice. It was all so good, I was dancing in my seat as I ate. I love this place. read more

Food is overpriced and got me blowing up the restroom the food was mid for how much i paid

My go to place for good Dominican home cooking. Customer service is great each time. And I like they speak to me in Spanish because I go so much I understand what they are asking me. I've tried another Chimiking restaurant near where I live...no bueno. This is the best location. Food is cooked when you order but worth the small wait. Atmosphere is families all around enjoying a good meal. Everything I've had here so far which are many things if you look at my pics have been delicious. Don't sleep on the cappuccino! A must try place. read more

This is my first time at this location. The one I usually go to is on Whisperlakes. We always come for their fried meat sampler and plantains chips. It's a good portion for two people to share with a red country club and my husband gets a presidente beer. We always leave satisfied. read more

This five star review is for the waitress Estefany. Since moving to Florida two years ago I had yet to get good service in a restaurant. It seems like any where you go the staff is tired of the guest, don't want to deal with special request and definitely don't check back to see if you need anything. I eat out often and I do it most when I'm tired and do not want to cook. I want to be served so I can enjoy time with my family. If you are lookIng for excellent service please visit this Chimiking restaurant and ask for Estefany. She was polite, tended to every request, checked on us often and anticipated our needs. Not once was she bothered or showed any sign that we were a nuisance. It honestly felt like she liked her job, she WANTED to serve us and be THERE. SHE WAS PRESENT. Beyond this, she spared time to help her coworkers a real team player. She was multitasking like a pro. A real leader. While always maintaining that smile! The cherry on top was the exquisite food. I wish there were more servers like you! Thank you! read more

On our way back from Poinciana, starving, we were excited to bump into ChimiKing. It had been on our radar for some time and we immediately stopped. Upon entering we noticed a sign, "wait to be seated", we waited maybe a half a minute when we were approached and directed to a table and offered drinks, I ordered Jugo de Tamarindo (tamarind juice), my daughter ordered Limonada (lemonade). We noticed about 4 other tables occupants and a buffet like set up but it had no food on it. Our server came back took our order, for appetizer we ordered, tostone sliders, basically a slice of fried salami/Dominican sausage, a slice of fried cheese, sandwiched between to crispy fried tostones. She then ordered mini chimis (Dominican burger with thinly sliced cabbage and special sauce with a side of fries. I ordered a Cuban sandwich. While we waited we watched as other tables got their food, just interested in what the dishes looked like. One table ordered a huge mofongo (fried and mashed green plantains), that looked so good crowned with pork. Another table had a humongous plate of tostones (fried plantains) with delicious longaniza (Dominican sausage), goodness!! Our food took a while, but I noticed that all the food did take long, true cook to order style. When we got our appetizer, delicious, the tostones were crispy and not falling apart over the salami and cheese. My daughters chimi was cute, good serving of fries and my Cuban sandwich good size. The mini chimis, the beef was off, we are Dominican and have had thousands of chimis and this was not it. The fries were good though. I could not finish my sandwich. I have a thing where pork should not smell like pork, it has a funny funk but if marinated well with lime and oregano it doesn't smell. Unfortunately the pork on this sandwich, smelled of pork, it also had alot of ham and not enough cheese, so no balance and I barely got the mustard taste. The bread was good. Overall, the service was good, the wait staff, attentive, but I would probably not return & if I do it would probably be to try the mofongos. read more

Ordered bistec encebollado witness arroz con habichuelas. It was very good. I just hated that they used 3 different containers to pack my food alone. The staff was very kind. Only spoke Spanish but I think they understand most English. I'm a Spanish speaker but my friend isn't but he was able to order. His order was incorrect though. Restaurant is cute and clean very cold we ordered our food Togo. read more

We eat at this restaurant about 3-4 times per month. The food is THE BEST!!! Having said that the service from the wait staff is absolutely HORRIBLE!! We spend a minimum of about $120 per visit. Last week we dropped $300 in 1 visit. The service is going to be a deal breaker very soon! When you spend that kind of money you expect the wait staff will know what they're doing & at least understand Spanish and English. Tonite we had to tell 2 different waitresses our orders 2 times!!! 7 people!!! Had to ask for our drinks after waiting for 15 min. We were the only people in the place!! Didn't offer refills on drinks, didn't check on us if the food was ok. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Y'all need to figure it out only 1 more chance. On the 3rd strike, you're out! We will spread the word as well read more

The chimis are awesome.. must have waited longer then I would've liked but the food was worth it !

This place is so underrated. Every time I come in here the food is so delicious. This is where I fell in love with Mofongo. What I really like about this place is that it is reasonably priced as well. When we first moved here we went to cillantrillo (great place but too expensive, and the wait time is off the chain - worth it though), so this place is the sweet spot for some good food for the entire family. I don't know why they only have 3 stars. read more

Great food. Not sure why the 3 stars. Almost didn't go in. Glad I did. Had the sampler...delish!

The food is good. Sometimes the portions are on the small side. Customer service could use some work. Great codfish creole.

Stopped in for dinner. The place is a good size. They practice social distancing by setting up tables with plenty of room. Hostess had on a face shield and gloves. Food was really good just needed a pinch of salt on the Mofongo. I ordered the three meat combo and it was perfect. My wife ordered the Camaronfongo and loved it as well. Our only complaint was it was slightly over priced for what we ordered. read more

This location is not as good as others, gave them benefit of a doubt and ordered a second time from them, not only did they send completely wrong sandwich but the other plate of the fried pork chunks was overcooked, dry and tough to chew. Service is bad. They refused to take my order. There were only two families / tables and i asked for take out but they refused and stated they were too busy in the kitchen to do take outs. I could not tell you how the food was because we didn't get to eat there. They attended us quickly and order our drinks and appetizer. She asked us if we need more time to look over the menu we said yes. She approached the table with our drinks and left because the person I was with left to grab his wallet. We waited patiently for an additional 15 minutes before we walked out. We watched our server past us several times and helped other table and take out customers too .
