Something about that just was not for me. Not that the gelato isn't good--it's delicious--but I don't necessarily want that in my coffee. Service was quick and the vibe is cool, but only limited outdoor seating. I will definitely come back. An employee at Lush actually recommended their shaken brown sugar espresso, so maybe I'll try that next time. Their lemonades also sound really good. Glad to have this as an option at La Encantada!

I wasn't familiar with Black Rock Coffee Bar opened at the same time in Tucson. I find the coffee is very similar to Dutch Brothers and that offers a huge variety of blended drinks or lattes, which are really sweet. They also offer a variety of teas and lemonade. Their caramel chiller is my favorite drink on the menu every time I go to this location I'm always tempted to try one of everything. They have a nice creative items on the drink menu, and they offer a selection of pastries and sandwiches. Today I noticed they have a grilled cheese on the menu. I love grilled cheese. The staff are very friendly, and tend to do transactions through tablets when ordering in the drive thru or inside. Plus, if I'm lucky I might get a sticker. They have an App. I take advantage and get rewards by using their app and the location is convenient for me on Broadway. For the month of June, I got a birthday reward and Wood offered a free medium drink. The inside lobby is clean and spacious, and has seating to meet with others,or read a book or study. Today I tried their starburst whipped lemonade, which has sweet cream in it. It's pretty tasty.

I often visit this Savaya and their other locations, with all of them being nothing short of great…read more For anyone curious, this location is NOT the specific "World's Best Coffee Shop" Savaya. That would be their Oro Valley location which offers a beautiful mountain view and does not share the cafe space with any other business. As far as I know this location is the only Savaya that doesn't have the building to itself. That being said, this mini-Savaya still is never lacking and holds up to high standards. Ambiance and atmosphere - The outside patio offers lovely shaded seating with plenty of greenery. Inside, there's lots of seating and customers seem comfortable in the space. Innovation in brewing methods and menu - I implore you to ask about their "Science" cold brew!! It's the best cold brew I have ever tasted, and uses one of the most unique brewing methods I've ever heard of. It's called "Science" because it's brewed overnight in a tower that looks like it would be used in a lab. Think giant beakers and glass coil. The baristas can explain it better than I can lol Barista Expertise - I've never had a question go unanswered by the girls who work here. They're always willing to help and well versed on EVERYTHING coffee. The drinks prove it, they're always delicious! But seriously, ask them anything. Savaya is a stellar Tucson coffee staple that is definitely worth a visit and worth supporting! My personal recommendation: Honey cinnamon iced latte Perfect every time.

When I read that Savaya made it on the 77th spot on the "The World's Best Coffee List, I was expecting to be wowed. I read that there are certain criteria(s) to make it onto this prestigious worldwide recognition. Ambiance & Atmosphere - as soon as I walked in, I wanted to walk right out. Starbucks has better ambience. Space is shared with a smoothie shop. Innovation in brewing methods and menu - none of the drinks show any creativity. Barista Expertise - pretty sure the girl that made our drinks just graduated from high school. Here is what we ordered... - Hot Latte with Agave (nothing special about it at all). - Iced Latte with Banana (absolutely did not detect any banana flavor whatsoever). The bad - the coffee gave me and my son major jitters, jitters that we have never felt before. Maybe that is why they are on the 100th list?? My son had to do pushups to fight off the shakes. I think there are so many other coffee shops in Tucson more worthy. Like, who is the panel that put Savaya on this list? Super disappointed. I was expecting to take that first sip and taste something exciting and new. Ranking this java spot as the bottom of the list for me in Tucson.

When my husband received our drink order and tasted his, he told me it didn't taste right. (He orders the same thing at every place, a vanilla latte) He asked the employees if it was the correct coffee and let them know it did not taste right. Instead of remaking it or apologizing to rectify the issue, they were rude and unopologetic. The employee told him, that's how we make it here and that they would not remake it. They also said they have plenty of customers, so us not returning would not hurt their business. This is now the second time my husband has not had the best experience at this location. I did taste his vanilla latte and it tastes like dirty milk. I'm disappointed in their service and now the coffee as well. I'm sad to leave this review. My husband and I use to come here quite often. We have recently been visiting many of the small locally owned coffee stores around Tucson. One, to broaden our coffee buds and two, to support the local small businesses. This is one we will not be returning to.
