There's a lot of coffee competition in Tucson. The first time I tried Black Coffee was at a conference in Phoenix. After which they open up several locations in Tucson of Black rock Coffee. From time to time I meet clients at Coffee places and recently I've been coming to this location of Black rock coffee. It's a little tricky to get into because you have to make a U-turn on Grant Road just past the car wash, and then make a sharp right into the driveway. I find the staff have always been really nice. The seats are incredibly comfortable and I really enjoy their coffee drinks. And they have Sticker drops sort of randomly so what a fun experience and I really enjoy the taste of their coffee, although they have energy drinks teas and food available if you're interested I've had a breakfast burrito and that was pretty tasty and not too big. They sell muffins bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. read more

Any place that offers a Black Rock Coffee Bar is a fine place to visit I say! Tbh we weren't deliberately aiming to get a coffee fix but I saw the Black Rock shop on the way to Costco and decided to get some human fuel before getting car fuel. Ordering was fast and friendly and to my delight I was eligible for a free drink from their rewards program. The person at the check out was thoughtful enough to ask if I wanted to upgrade my drink to a large since it was a free drink so I said sure, why not. The peppermint bark blondie is one of my favorites seasonal drinks right now and it's just the right amount of sweetness for me. The Little Rocker sized drinks are the perfect size for the little one and she loves their smoothies. You can mix smoothie flavors too so she usually does a mix of two flavors. read more

This location consistently under delivers on BlackRock drinks, at $7 for a small drink the espresso shouldn't be burnt in your coffee. They were nice about remaking my drink but it's just not worth it.. still wasn't good tossed the drink and went elsewhere. Pretty cool coffee shop that just happens to have the same name as the Black Rock investment company, but no affiliation, not sure if I'd want a coffee from them if that was the case lol. The shop has a really cool urban theme, it does feel like it's from the northwest (where they are from). I tried the Mexican Mocha but at half the sweetness and it was perfect. The cookies in the pastry case looked really good, will have to try those next time. There was plenty of seating inside and they have a drive thru. The people working there were friendly. The only reason for four stars is that it was ice cold in there and pretty uncomfortable to sit for any amount of time without a sweater. read more

My son and I visited opening day. He didn't want to go since the lines were quite long. They had three lines and two gentleman directing traffic. We were given a menu soon after pulling in. Someone else checked on us for questions. And, another employee took our order. We were served quite quickly. I like that many of the drinks can be purchased hot, cold or blended. They have coffees, teas, and smoothies. I thought my caramel blondie was delicious. I can't wait to try the teas! My son enjoyed his strawberry smoothie, too. Lots of delicious sounding options and daily specials. I'm glad I was finally able to visit a location and enjoy a free beverage. Staff was friendly and service was organized. read more

I haven't tried this until today even though I have seen these popping up all over town but today was the day! The service was super friendly and fast! Great rewards program for frequent flyers :) we tried one of the energy drinks called a mai tai and it was really refreshing and delicious. I wanted to try a different coffee place and this was on my route. What a disappointment! Coffee is awful!!! So bitter! I asked for more coconut syrup (which I love) and they put way too. So first too bitter and then way too sweet. On top of it it tasted like the wrong syrup. At this point I gave up and threw out my $6 coffee. read more

I was surprised to see one here. The first one I'd ever been to was on Shea Blvd in Paradise Valley. I love the young, city vibe of it. The coffee is great. I feel like I've had the same latte whenever I've been there but I can't remember which one it was. I just know I like the flavor of whatever coffee beans they use. Grand opening was handled flawlessly, it only took about 10 minutes to go through the line with almost 20 cars ahead of me. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I love Iced Tea. I tried all three (Black, Green and Hibiscus) this weekend and was so disappointed. They all tasted off. The Black and Green tea tasted almost skunky.
