    A supposed " bagel "

This place is really bad. The "bagel" they gave me is literally a hamburger bun! paid $5 for a burger bun.... this place has really gone downhill. very disappointed! pS they use to have real bagels and now are pulling this sneak attack of their customers.... black rock wtf? really awful business model. be transparent with your customers and STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF SELLING BURGE BUNS AS BAGLES - THEY ARE NOT BAGLES!!!!

We traveled with our best friends and we are all coffee lovers. We all consider Black Rock to be our favorite. My husband and I first frequented them when we lived in Oregon (their home state), and were excited to see one on our Tucson trip. Whether you like lattes, chillers, or teas, this is the best. My friend loves her London Fog! Says it is so much better here than competition. My husband and other friend are fans of the latte (no foam), and I love the mocha chiller (decaf) or their hot chocolate (beats chief competitor hands down). As like other Black Rocks, the service is always pleasant and quick.

Decent coffee. A little overpriced for me, but is a occasional good treat. Black Rock is catered toward coffee drinkers with a sweet tooth. I got a small hot Blackout (hazelnut mocha) on a Tuesday morning. Coffee is $3 with a Teachers or Student ID! The place was empty and with little to no wait time. The interior is very pleasant, and could be a good place to study to hang out. It was worth trying! Not sure if it'd be my first pick for coffee.

This is officially one of my favorite coffee shops in Tucson! I prefer the service at the Valencia location but the quality of the drinks are the same at either and this one is closer to my house. I tried working inside once but it's a little too chaotic with all of the college students. The Valencia location is walk up and drive through only. I get their vanilla iced latte and it's so smooth and creamy!

It was OK. I tried the Mai Tai Fuel energy drink (iced) and it had a weird after taste. I wasn't a fan. I was surprised that they had a couple options pertaining to the fuel such as original, sugar free and organic. I'll have to try the coffee drinks and see if those are better. This coffee chain took the place of the previous Starbucks that was in that corner. I read reviews prior to coming and they weren't very good. There was a lot of hype about opening day because they had free drinks all day. It's about a 7 min drive from the freeway once you get off on Congress. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come here for a drink again. They did have a lot of seating outside which is nice but zero shade. We are in AZ and shade is a must. Make sure you wear sunscreen or sit inside -.- Their point system on their app hasn't been working according to the barista. I downloaded the app beforehand and created an account but she couldn't scan my QR code so I had to provide my phone number at the window to get my points for the purchase.

I came here during opening week with a couple of different friends. We were worried about the drive-through line that snaked around the parking lot and went two blocks long. But there was ample staff that had staged traffic cones well in advance and that also guided cars with warm alacrity. As a result, there were zero "cuts" and zero confusion about where to go or wait in line. There were also 7-8 staff inside which helped the drive through line move quite quickly. Once we came within 5-6 cars of the window another staff member took our orders via iPad. When we reached the window, both lattes were hot/ready and all we had to do was pay. I've posted a pic of the cafe from across Broadway as well as a pic of their drinks menu. Over the course of this past week we sampled several lattes and, by far, our collective fav was the Mexi Mocha. Imagine a latte made with Abuelita Mexican chocolate! Tied for second were the caramel truffle and the hazelnut/mocha. All run on the sweet side so we learned to cut a pump or two out. They serve all of the non-dairy options (soy, almond, coconut) as well as decaf espresso for any latte. Prices are nearly identical with that other big mermaid coffee conglomerate. Speaking of which, this location used to be one of there's but it closed as soon as the pandemic hit. Once road construction concludes and office/commuters return in regular droves, this place should be hopping just like the old Starbucks was. Black Rock also offers a points/reward system for frequent flyers. The inside, while smallish, is very cozily decorated in an industrial motif. There is ample/free surface parking in their lot. The only critique of the layout was the placement of the lid plug/sticks by the sugar/napkin counter. There was a pile of them in a small bin which means that everyone has to stick their fingers into the communal cup to retrieve a plug, bleh.

Drive through is best. Sitting outside next to the highway is neither calming or refreshing. The coffee is good and service is fast.

Not overly sweet ....perfect. They are located in La Encantada near the Campbell entrance across from North. It's a walk up but no one seems to mind me pulling up and parking for a minute to grab my drinks. The pastries are delicious...Almond, Pistachio, Nutella, and White Chocolate croissants...worth the carbs and calories. The aesthetics are really cool. They just added a bench and have tables to sit if you want to sit for a while and get some work done. The vibes is fresh and elevated without a hint of pretentiousness. The employees are friendly and helpful. Parking is not an issue. I would highly recommend you check this coffee shop out. I go her almost daily and have only great things to say

I was after something basic, my usual of a cold brew with some variety of flavor and almond milk. Sadly, they did not have any sugar free flavorings beyond matcha, which I was not interested in, so I went for half sweet salted caramel with almond milk. I went with a large cold brew and with the add-ins, it came to around $5, which is a solid price! Sadly, the iced coffee was not good. It was borderline sour, which means it had been hanging out for a bit too long. The flavoring and milk couldn't even mask it and I could only stomach about half of it before calling it a day. Additionally, service was "bleh". Both baristas I encountered were low energy and just odd vibes for a cute local coffee shop. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, as it sounds like their more complex house drinks are a bit more exciting. Now I know, and I wouldn't mind giving them a second go when I find myself back in the area. But until then, solid 2.5 for me.

All 4 of us have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and appreciate the stresses. Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon
