The bread is fantastic--crusty, fresh, and authentically French. They also have an incredible selection of beautiful pastries, cakes, and other classic French treats that look like they came straight out of a Parisian pâtisserie. And the coffee is absolutely exquisite. One thing that always makes me smile is that while the pastries look and taste authentically French, they're definitely American-sized! They're enormous. If you're hungry, you're in for a treat. More often than not, I'll enjoy half of one there with a coffee and take the rest home in a box for later. It's a wonderful little café with a relaxed atmosphere and a great place to sit and unwind. If you're in the Apple Valley area and looking for something a little different--something with a genuine European feel--I can't recommend Café de Paris highly enough. There was one woman in front of me and she got her items quickly. I ordered 5 items. (See pic below) All of them were fantastic! I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. If you plan on going(the food was very good) order it to go...

The bakery staff are friendly and even though there is often a long line, they get you through it so quickly. The prices are a little on the high side but it is a treat to visit and worth the splurge. Go earlier in the day for the most choices. The decor is so fun and full of town history including benches from Red Wing pottery, old shops from town, and even old bakery equipment. They also have a small deli that has more lunch choices and a coffee shop with gourmet options or just a simple cup of self-serve coffee with about a dozen flavor options. It is a wonderful place to sit around and visit while enjoying your sweet treats. We stop almost every time we are in town and even make the trip on some lazy Saturday mornings from the Cities, They have won many awards and one trip will explain why. The space shares a home front with a very cool liquor store and then the Potter's side has all the products you would expect to see on the food truck. Serving pasties, pies, ice cream and even coffee, this shop does it all. There are some nice lunch specials which I believe come with salad, chips and a soft drink and many al la carte options. The interior is not big at all, so I recommend grabbing to go. Contrary, there are a few exterior tables outside including the liquor store patio. I opted for the pig which was pulled pork, apples, onions and coriander. It was out of this world good and reminded me of fall and a little overlap with the Renaissance Festival. Staff will heat the product up if you're dining in otherwise you can get frozen options as well. This also includes the pies. I also got one of the specialty pie slices to go and similar to above, if you plan to eat it in the moment, you will receive a thawed piece, otherwise frozen. I got the frozen, placed it in my fridge, and ate it the next day. It was also very good. While I didn't take advantage of the ice cream, I saw that you can take any pie flavor of the day and staff will mix it into either a shake or malt on your behalf. Fun!

They are all fresh made and on a busy Saturday you can expect to wait 10-15 min (or more) depending on the line but it is worth it. One thing I did notice recently is that they had additional Crêpe plates that weren't being used so they may have been short staffed which led to a slightly longer wait. The family that owns the stand moves quickly and is so helpful when taking, making and delivering your order. Just have a little patience and realize that if someone in your part is getting food from another stand, they might be done eating before you get theirs. Our crepe of choice is the mixed berry and it is so yummy but every crepe coming off the plates looked equally delicious.
