There was a 45-minute wait for a table for two but we snagged a couple spots at the bar and sat down right away. The bartender/waitress was a pure delight. Despite how crazy busy it was, she was pleasant and helpful and efficient. (I'm sorry I can't remember her name.) And they were offering free mimosas to all the ladies which was a nice bonus. Hubby and I both ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly cooked and we were delighted with the crispy hash browns Strangely, we find crispy, perfectly cooked hashbrowns very rarely. And we have breakfast out fairly often. This restaurant nailed it! The prices are very reasonable, and the service was great. Highly recommend!

In the last 2 years I've been to over 100 breakfast places around the Twin Cities...think of that…read moreas my pilgrimage. After all of those, I can say Kitchen Table is the absolute best. While I only had the Hangover Hash for years - absolutely perfect breakfast - I started trying other items off the menu. The Hot Mother Clucker and Three Little Pigs are phenomenal. But, the best of all and the best in the Twin Cities is the Biscuits & Gravy. Hanisch Bakery biscuits and the absolutely best and perfect sausage gravy easily beats every other B&G in the metro and dare I say it, in the entire country. Owen is the best server - great attitude, always happy to see you and gives the best recommendations!

I was afraid that would be a hot/busy time. It was busy but I barely waited. I got the Iced Downtowner. - YUM. I'm going to think about that for the next week non-stop. Not too sweet. Just perfect. Sometimes coffee places have weird flavored espresso. This was so good. I got the Breakfast Toastie and got a Sausage Patty instead of Ham. *mic drop* That was so good. I'm a sourdough baker and was SO pleased with the sourdough magic they created. It was thinner than an English muffin but not too thin. (I need to know how they make that). The bakery case was stocked well and I was eyeing the blueberry scone - I somehow showed self control and didn't get it. Line moved quick, and had to wait MAYBE 5mins to get my drink and food. The seating throughout the house is so cute. Every room of the house has different seating. Booths, "dining room tables", etc. It was so cute nicely decorated too. I had been waiting so long to come here and I'm so glad I finally got to go. I will be back, and will recommend it to everyone.

I got a cappuccino that was good but not great. They use peace coffee.... I'm a fan but with all of these little places having their own special grinds and single origin it's hard to be above average when they use mass produced coffee. Overall the place is great to bring kids or to meet a few friends. The ambience is a big selling point. Not a bad place in downtown Hastings !

Our food was great, all of it, but I want to focus on the French onion soup. The very best I have ever had. So glad I tried it. Ok, now the Ambiance! Wow what a beautiful place. Something for everyone. We were celebrating our Anniversary so we decided to sit inside. Fancy, but very comfortable. There are four levels of outdoor space. All overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River. So beautiful and very relaxing. And they serve breakfast (my favorite meal to eat out). We will definitely be trying that, real soon!

Restaurant and bar area are pretty large and can see quite a bit of people and when it is warmer out there is a huge patio that overlooks the Mississippi River. Great date night spot. Rustic, modern, and charming throughout the space. Very thoughtfully repurposed. Drinks: We tried the Hastings 14 and the Gold Dandy. My wife especially like the Hastings 14 and it was mixed with edible glitter which heightened the drinks look and experience. Very interesting drink. My Gold Dandy was a refreshing whiskey-forward sipper. Food: I had a burger and my wife had the shrimp. My burger was pretty good and was cooked to perfection, soft, juicy and pink in the middle. I enjoyed the rosemary fries, good savory flavor that balance the sweetness from the burger. My wife's shrimp were perfectly cooked and her brussel sprouts were tasty. Overall: A great date night location or a place for any occasion when you're looking for a drink and a bite to eat. If it is during the warmer months you will have a great experience on there vast riverfront patio. A great dining and drinking option to downtown Hasting's waterfront.
