We got Mocha Latte 5/5- just the right amount of sweet and the chocolate was subtle but could taste it and the espresso was perfect White chocolate mocha 4.5/5- slightly sweeter but had a hint of a berry flavor along with the coffee. Quite liked it. Olive-feta marsant (lightly warmed up) 5/5 - our first time trying a marsant (fusion of muffin and croissant) and LOVED it! The bits of olive were delicious and the pastry itself felt fresh and flaky. Must try! Raspberry scone (lightly warmed up) 5/5 - I usually refrain from getting scones because they are dry but this one was soft and slightly chewy which we loved. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Plenty of indoor seating (with power outlets) and access to restroom. Street parking is fairly easy to find but could get busy on the weekends. This cafe is an absolute gem! It is way larger than it looks from the outside. We ordered some great baked goods at the counter and coffee too. The coffees were up fast and tasted so good. The baked goods were out as soon as they warmed up. I had a simple bagel and cream cheese with my latte. Everything was fantastic. I've consistently and semi-frequently come to Caffe Piccolo whenever I go to Downtown Camas. I always really enjoy the fact that they allow people to sit and hang out in their dining areas (which there are plenty of areas to sit and chat both inside of the building and outside). I frequently will sit inside and just read a book I borrowed from the Camas Public Library in the back just for the sake of enjoying the gentle chatter and sounds and the temperature inside the building. I've had a sort of mixed experience with their food and drinks, but I usually like them. Once in a while, the coffee comes out tasting a bit burnt or like the shots were pulled a bit off, but usually the drinks are tasty and the bagels cut and toasted well. The baristas and people are friendly enough and I think they explain what certain drinks and foods are in knowledgeable ways. I have noticed some times when the sanibuckets haven't been replaced as often as I would like, but that's just me. Overall, I enjoy going to Caffe Piccolo and always bring everyone I know there when they come to visit Downtown Camas and want a drink and/or foods to eat outside of a restaurant-styled space. read more

Big fan of dog, friendly places My husband waited outside at a table with our dog while I went inside and ordered. The interior was clean The service was warm and friendly We had a couple of the turkey Panini's While I waited, I walked around and saw the interior dining area and coffee station Clean and cozy. We were visiting some friends in the area and this is their favorite coffee shop. When we walked up we noticed a lot of people knew each other and it made it feel like a community hangout. Many had their dogs which we enjoyed meeting. We were greeted right away by friendly staff and we ordered a Matcha Latte and regular coffee with a Breakfast Sandwich and a pumpkin scone. We moved a couple of tables together outside to relax and enjoy our breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was good but the toast was not as toasty as we would like. The Pumpkin Scone was great and really enjoyed the Matcha Latte. Many other items to try next time we visit. read more

My go-to, as I work in charming downtown Camas. Great drinks, good food and good people. A total local gem with easy parking and surprisingly spacious place in the back or front to sit and enjoy your delightful cafe winnings. From what I've gathered over the 9+ years coming to this place, they are female-owned and run (please correct if I'm mistaken--maybe you're hiding in the back somewhere, lol). Which is awesome, great crew of ladies, always with a smile and ready to serve and have a welcoming little chat. Prices are great and lots of pastries and hot food items for breakfast and lunch, try their sandwiches (Ruben is wonderful also ham and cheese). Breakfast bagels are also a stunner. We've been to Cafe Piccolo multiple times now, and it's our favorite coffee shop in Camas. The coffee is delicious and they always have specialty drinks for every season. The pastries are fresh and change depending on the weekend. To top it off, the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. We've tried the lattes, matcha, and specialty drinks including the pumpkin spice latte. For pastries, we've tried multiple scones, paninis and croissants. The staff here is hit or miss- ironically, the rudest of all the baristas is someone I was told was the owner's daughter. I have never had her be friendly towards me, or seen her smile or be friendly to ANYBODY. Allie and Zoe are the bright spots of my day, and always a joy! The coffee used to be exceptional, but over the last few months we've been disappointed. The head barista is gone and have replaced her with very young inexperienced staff members. My Mochas frequently have chucks of the powdery mocha swirling around which is unpleasant. The baristas at this place are always sooooo friendly. I really appreciate how peppy and kind they are, it's like their job is to just brighten people's days and check in :) This is my go-to spot whenever I need a gluten free breakfast. They do gluten free bagel sandwiches which is awesome, I don't know of any other spots nearby that do a super quick to-go breakfast in the early hours. One suggestion that would make me 100x more eager to come in all of the time though is if the sandwich was more than just egg + cheese + choice of sausage / bacon / ham because I feel like I'm not quite sated with just this... Back when I lived in Santa Cruz, CA there was this awesome cafe that does a bagel sandwich which contained egg + choice of meat + lettuce, tomato and mustard. It took the sandwich from an occasional last minute "I'm too lazy to eat" meal to something I looked forward to having constantly. A fluffy-faced guy with his fluffy-faced dog played guitar outside, runners strolled in for their reward, and strangers struck up conversations in line. The matcha wasn't as flavorful as some I've had, but this milder flavor (less hay-like) was still good.
