Calamari Fritti and Bruschetta
Denise K.

Stopped by Caffe Boa for a early dinner with some friends. Love the laid back atmosphere. Service was ok, not the best not the worst. The food made up for the service. We each did a special that was giving back to a little boy in the community. Love that restaurant gives back. Food, we had the calamari, marry me shrimp pasta and Nashville hot chicken pasta. All were amazing and flavorful. We will be back to try more.

Cuban-a panini

Amazing food. Burrata , lasagna and torta was absolutely delicious and the lasagna was the best I've ever eaten. Great ambience especially during the lunch service. Highly recommend it.

Classico Panini - Sliced chicken breast, salami, prosciutto, red onion, Pepperoncini & Provolone

I've lived in the valley for years and have known about this restaurant for just as long, but for some reason never tried it until now. They say to save the best for last, and this might be one of those times. Tucked away on a corner, it truly feels like a hidden gem. Walking in--true to my habit of being the first customer of the day--I was greeted right away and told my group of five could sit anywhere. I usually skip booths, but they had a nice table-and-chair booth setup that won me over. From the start, we felt right at home, with a friendly, knowledgeable waiter who knew the menu inside and out. The chef and owner even came out to make sure everything was perfect--those little touches don't go unnoticed. I ordered the following: Classico Panini - With Small House Salad - A++++

Side Sauteed Shrimp

Loved this place and am planning on returning soon. Met up with my bestie and had wine and food. Their house Sauvignon is tasty. We also had the shrimp, garlic bread and fries. Looking forward to my next visit.

Caramelized Creme Brulee

Who doesn't love Creme brûlée?!? My husband found this place as he knows my obsession with creme brûlée. This was by far one of the best I've ever had. So smooth, creamy and silky. Just enough sweetness with the berries balancing out the texture. The sugar topping is crisped to perfection to where the custard is still cold underneath. Definitely a ten out of a ten. My husband got the butter cake and loved it. The texture was spot on with a great richness. The staff is super sweet and makes you feel like a long time customer. I should be ashamed of myself as I had their creme brûlée three times in the course of one week. The inside smells so good and the next time I'll have to try their food. I just know it will not disappoint! Definitely give this place a try as you will not be disappointed. Oh, and the live music is everything!

The atmosphere is very pleasant while the bread was served complimentary and warm! And the delicious creamy butter was amazing! We ordered lobster ravioli, Chianti braised pasta, deeelic! See pics. Our first time and we will be back!

Food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the patio. The misters made it nice as well as the music. Great place in Ahwatukee.

This is far above a 5 star review. So many average restaurants get a five star review. Like giving your child a participation trophy. Whoop eee do..This, readers isn't just a great dinner. Its an experience. Lets start with the drink. I ordered a blackberry mule. Youre like whaaat??? Yes, ive never heard of it. Yes, made with good ol Jack Daniels blackberry whiskey. Add some ginger beer, lime. And voila!! My new summer cocktail. So, now let's look at appetizers. We split the Mediterranean Tapenade. Never heard of it, so why not. Im telling you sincerely that it could not have been more perfect. Was light, yet robust with flavor. And truly. And I mean this, made me hungry for dinner!! Normally you fill up on appetizers and are too full to eat main course. Nada. This was perfect. Now, main course. (We both) ordered the Linguini Adriatico. This dish is what separates a typical 5 star rating to a 5 star GOURMET rating!! Why??? Well, this dish is not exclusive to Caffe Boa. But the preparation? Is genuine Italian. If you want a dish this perfect? It'll cost you airfare to Italy. Not joking. They simply do it "the Italian way" not the American version. We ended our meal sweet. Ordered the VERY LARGE even to split... their Intoxicating Tiramisu. DESCRIBED PERFECTLY. That was stomach intoxication. Hopefully, I can add a few photos. Thanks Patrick for saving me money and time to pay for a round trip ticket to Italy. Feel blessed.

Awesome bartender. Vanna was able to make up a drink for me based on the liquor I wanted. 10/10 Their bread is really good also. They have a lunch special where you build your own pasta. Very affordable as well. Their happy hour is also super affordable. Delicious sauces.

I have been going to Perfect Pear's adjacent Ahwatukee location for years. Five stars for what their business model projects--a comfortable environment for a nourishing lunch or dinner (table service) with friends. A choice of booths or tables, bar seating and a small patio. This week, I had their chicken pesto sandwich on gluten free bread and found it very flavorful. My friend got their club sandwich and he loved it. We both had their seasonal side--cucumber salad which was light and refreshing. Thanks Perfect Pear for being a solid go to.

It seemed like a local favorite lunch spot for people working in the nearby offices. The ambiance was super fun, and I loved all the quirky decor. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and the chicken club sandwich with a few substitutions. Our server was really accommodating with my dietary preferences, and the sandwich was generously portioned. Overall, definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in the South Tempe area. Just be prepared for a wait if you're coming during peak lunch hours!

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to clubs, and they have an excellent one. Honestly, I can't think of a better one in town. I always ask for the bread to be toasted extra dark and they always come through for me. Accompanied with tater tots or fries and it's a solid meal. We ordered a pizza and a double burger. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the pizza. I didn't even eat it and ended up bringing it home for my dog because I didn't feel that the ingredients were up to the usual standard. The burger, on the other hand, was excellent. Their burgers are cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and hard to beat. My main issue was with the price of the extra patty. My husband typically adds a second patty, but we weren't informed that it would cost an additional $10. Since the burger with a side is already around $16-$17, I was very surprised to see such a high upcharge for one extra patty. I spoke with the manager and explained that when an add-on costs that much, customers should be informed beforehand so they can decide whether they want to proceed. She kindly removed the charge for this visit, which we greatly appreciated, and said she would speak with the waitress to make sure customers are informed about the upcharge in the future. Overall, the burger was delicious, but the pizza quality and lack of communication about the extra charge were disappointing.

We choose to sit indoors. The restaurant is very cozy with dimmed lighting to add to the evening ambiance. It has a casual feel but you can dress up or down. Some people were casual and some more dressed up. We were seated at the front by the stage where live music was about to start. I thought this would be nice since I do enjoy live music. Well the speakers were facing right at our table and it was noticeably loud when the entertainer began to play. We asked for another table. We could not hear ourselves talking. I ordered a cocktail, The Giddy Up Espresso Martini. That was very delicious! They do have a full bar, it's nice to have choices as far as alcoholic beverages. Our food, Fish & Chips, BBQ Nachos, Aged Manchego, Crusty Bread Garlic Oil & Balsamic, and Molinari Sopressata. Everything was absolutely delicious! The fries with the Fish were perfect. My favorite besides the Martini. was the Crusty Bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic. Our server was the best! Amiriya made sure our drinks stayed filled and asked us what we thought about the food. Even on this busy night. After our meal we walked around the outside seating and game area. This place is a fun place to meet with others especially with the outdoor/patio game area. I would love to come back when in AZ.. But, I don't have to wait until then because we have a CD restaurant in the San Diego area! Woohoo! I can't wait to try some other dishes and have another Espresso Martini. I probably would pay for a shot of Bailey's added to the drink. You can choose to sit inside or outside, but with the heat we decided on inside. We were able to have a great view of the city skyline. It felt a little stuffy and the AC/fan was quite weak, so be mindful of clothing. Our waitress was very nice and gave some good recommendations. I especially loved the complimentary corn bread and focaccia. We had the flatbread and chicken and doughnuts as appetizers. They were okay - I didn't think they were anything special and probably wouldn't order them again. I really enjoyed my main dish. From previous reviews, I was nervous to thinking the black truffle risotto and scallops would be small but they were quite large and filled me up alongside all of our appetizers. I would recommend this dish. -1 star because it took forever to receive our food. I would estimate over an hour.
