I haven't known the…read moreowners for very long, but after all the times I had the chance to enjoy their amazing pastries, sandwiches, and sourdough bread, I was more than impressed, and definitely well fed! Also complained when I drove 45 minutes uphill both ways to have nothing left to buy. LOL We also shared plenty of good laughs, especially when I told them I was allergic to water, salt, and oxygen. Somehow, they still managed to find something I could eat. I was lucky enough to buy their very last loaf of sourdough bread, and yes... it is now safely tucked away in my freezer. I'm trying to savor it one slice at a time and make it last as long as possible! It's sad to see such a special place close. I truly hope whomever takes over the business is able to carry on the wonderful tradition, quality, and warmth that made this place so memorable. Wishing the owners nothing but the best in whatever comes next. Thank you for the great food, the laughs, and the awesome memories.

Here is why: On our first visit, the prices for drinks were high to begin with, but when we asked for an iced latte upgraded to half and half (Breve), we were told it would be extra. Shame on us for not asking how much. A 24 ounce latte with regular milk was $6.95. The upgrade to Breve was an extra $4.00!!! For a grand total of $11.80 with a flavor shot!!! And the drink was of very average quality. More recently we got a scone that was EXTREMELY DRY. When it was brought back, the owner first said "You realize this is a scone, right? As a 30 year baker, that was insulting. Then she squeezed it and said she wanted us to try "the middle". Again, insulting. When I politely declined and said I'd like to get something else, she was very hesitant, and said she was afraid we would be unhappy with another selection, and preferred to give a refund. Insulting a third time. We think the owner might consider a more customer-centric approach, but that's just us.

The staff remembered a lot of their orders. That always adds a personal touch. Will definitely be back!!

I'm not sure what's going on with this place but it used to be a great place to shop. Now when we…read morego they're constantly out of items. For example, they haven't had cottage cheese for weeks. We called and asked why on the phone and they say it's because of manufacturing issues but Albertsons, down the street has tons of it; so much so they have it on sale, so I don't think that's what's going on. Their dairy section always seems hit or miss- and it's been a miss a lot lately. Something is wrong with their ordering. There is no consistency. Another issue is with their rotisserie chickens. Most of the time they are all burnt. We've asked multiple people in the front of the store at checkout and honestly, most of them don't even know they sell chickens. It's really odd how people working in such a small store have no idea what's going on in the back of the store. And obviously no one working there seems to notice nor care that the chickens are all burnt. I don't understand how no one working there says anything. I mean, it looks a bit strange to be selling burnt chicken, no? In addition there is no consistency in the sizes of their rotisserie chicken. They used to be like 3- 3.5 lbs each. Now they're often 2 lbs and under and they're the same price. If there's going to be such a discrepancy in weight, they should be sold by the pound. Getting back to ordering, I'm not 100% sure but it seems like one of their freezers malfunctioned because they had it empty for a few days. Then all of a sudden all the ice cream that they put back in the freezer looked like it had previously melted and instead of throwing the sticky melted messy ice cream out, they just put it back for sale. I was going to buy some but I could tell that the cartons didn't look right. That is not okay. It should be counted as waste and restocked with fresh product. I don't think Tillamook would appreciate them selling their product that's obviously not up to standards. Regarding their soup bar, I have noticed in the evening, before even the local jui jitsu gym lets out next door, they are often out of multiple soups. I'm talking at like 530pm. The hot bar is often similar. Why is this not being restocked for dinner? Lastly, I just want to reiterate that although the cashiers are usually very friendly, they really should know what's going on in the back of the store. I mean, when we ask them about the soups, they should at least know that soup is sold there. They should know if they cook the chickens in- house and/ or who to speak to regarding the fresh food. They act like they've never seen the back of the store. So I suggest maybe giving them a tour when they're hired and telling them some things so that when they're the only ones customers have the opportunity to speak to, they have some knowledge of what's being sold. It was almost humourous when we asked why the chickens were always burnt and they were like, oh we sell chickens? Seriously. That's bad training. You can do better and I really want you to. I do appreciate there being a smaller grocery store here and their produce section is great. It just seems like some things are slipping a bit.

The vanilla powder helps give the drink a slightly creamer texture, and the caramel adds a nice touch. Obviously this drink is on the sweeter side, but I'd also say it's not overpowering, you can still get some of that coffee taste. Their americanos are strong, and their drip coffee is good. When I'm ordering those, I like to keep them black and avoid the creams and sugars, but they do offer simple creamer and sugars at their coffee station if you want to doctor hours up a bit. I haven't been to their other location, but this one does have some small food items and prepackaged pastries if you need a quick bite. My friends have also purchased their retail coffee beans and enjoyed them. I'll have to grab some myself and update when I do. If you're going to get a sweet drink, I'd highly recommend ditching the Starbucks usual and give this place a try instead. They do have a drive-thru as well, but PLENTY of parking is available.

I drive by Kaffee Meister almost daily and often I will see that they have live music which is cool. I waited maybe three or four minutes for my name to be called, and I was handed my two frappes. I like a simple cup o' Joe. Black, no sugar, no sweeteners. At home I drink Kirkland brand ground coffee from a drip coffee maker. That said, I really enjoyed the Caramel Frappe. It was not too sweet and retained subtle coffee flavor. Becky very much enjoyed hers too. Neither of us had ever had a frappe before. We were surprised by the milkshake-like creamy texture. They provided the perfect pick-me up we were looking for. About 17 bucks after tip. We'd return for sure.
