The salmon kabob platter is to DIE FOR. Somehow I'm not dettered by the 16.00$ price. I find myself ordering this for lunch at least once a week, and I am always fat and happy after scarfing it down. I love Cafesano. It is fresh and delicious and not a chain restaurant. Their portobello sandwich is to die for. The small amount of sauce is perfect and the mushroom and large, juicy and cooked perfectly. The hummus and baba ganoosh is amazing. Not the best I have ever had but they are the perfect size to share. The pita bread served with the dips are great too. The greek fries they serve and the sauce with it is great. The pizza are great too. The Bianca Insalata is my favorite. It is a white pizza with a small salad on top. The greek salad is also very fresh. It is nice to get large pieces of green pepper, cucumber and tomato in a salad, along with feta cheese. If you ask for a cup of water it is nice because they have a jar of lemon and lime out to add. The prices are reasonable and they serve you...so no tip is needed. The decor is modern and lovely. The ambiance is perfect and there is a balcony outside. The wait for the food is never long. Very fresh olives too. Con: Personally I do not like pesto much, and some of the paninis have a lot of pesto. Conclusion: Amazing place to dine in Reston. Everything will taste great. read more

Love coming here! The pollo pizza is the best thing that ever happened to me as well as their Greek salad. The chicken alfredo is super great as well and I order it frequently, but sometimes the sauce feels watered down or as if the pasta wasn't properly drained. The place really deserves 4 stars, but I'll happily give one for encouragement because this is, by far, the best "bang for your buck" restaurant in the Reston area. Great trade off between quality and price. Certainly, it is not an upscale joint, but they consistently deliver great sandwiches, great salads, OK pizzas and other amenities inspired by italian and mediterranean cousine. Even the tomato pasta (from the kids menu) is closer to the original italian pasta than what you sometimes get from the pseudo-italian chains over here (disclosure: I'm italian). I also apreciate the kabob when I want a change. Portions are not huge, but, believe it or not, I consider this a plus. We typically go there at least once per week for lunch with the colleagues, but if it depended solely on me, it would be even more often. Only complaint, the menu is pretty static and it rarely changes. I would like to see the owners be a little bit more brave here. Well, I guess you can't have everything. read more

First time dining here on Sunday 1/4 at 6:30pm...surprisingly busier than we had expected too. Food was VERY good. We both got platters (mine steak & chicken kabob and hubs was steak kabobs.) Price for the platter was a smidgen on the high side in my opinion for the amount of food you received and the salad on platter was much smaller than expected (3 tiny pieces of lettuce with tomatoes and onions) and we would have loved more pita bread for the fantastic tzatziki sauce they provided, other than those observations, meal was great tasting and came out to us relatively fast. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu and update review. Like other reviewers stated...portion sizes are a bit smaller than should be and price points are higher than should be. read more

This place has a nice variety of good food. You order and then sit and they bring it to you. The hummus is so delish. The flatbread is also good. I don't recommend the eggplant parm sub. It's mushy and messy. Chicken shwarma is very tasty. Very clean and nice atmosphere overlooking water. Staff is polite and helpful. read more

The good, the bad, and the ugly: Good: Menu is huge. I've been several times, and have yet to eat the same item twice, other than the hummus. Everything we've had is been fresh. The outside eating area on the lake - LOVE IT! The Bad: regular hummus - very bland, go for the roasted red pepper instead. Wanting to eat at lunch? Go super early or super late - while it doesn't take that long to get through the ordering line, finding a seat is an adventure in itself. Making modifications to items on the menu is a hit or miss prospect, regardless of time of day. Consider yourself forwarned. Sometimes it can take embarrasingly long for the food to come out. The Ugly: Did I mention trying to find a seat at lunch? The parking - Cafesanos is in a shopping center with another sit down restaurant, grocery store, Subway, multiple other businesses and they are opening a Chipotle in the next few months. Parking will only get worse at lunch. If not for the hit or miss on menu mods, the somewhat inconsisent service and the parking, I'd give this place 4 stars. read more

Ordered our food online at 6:15pm for a 7:00pm pick up and when we arrived they claimed they had never received our order. We didn't get a single apology. Can't speak to the quality of food because we were told it would take another 30 minutes for our food to be ready. It's astonishing how chaotic and crazy they were.
