The Patagonia was pretty delicious and had great flavor. When I took a bite of the breakfast empanada, I couldn't name any of the ingredients in the filling. Just hang a right upon entering the store, and you'll find it. If the barista isn't there, ring the metal bell on the counter, and they'll come take your order. The coffee is such high quality, and the craft lattes are flavorful and balanced. Each drink is prepared individually when you order, and the lattes take about 5 minutes to be ready. I think the quality justifies the slightly higher price tag. The Belgian Mocha is rich while not being cloyingly sweet. The Vanilla Spice is well balanced and comforting. You have your choice of milk for the lattes (including my typical preference, oat). I absolutely recommend swinging by whenever you're craving a cup of the good stuff.

I am so happy I gave Black Powder a try. Their coffees are very good. I have tried 5 different beans/roasts they have all been very good, and they were all roasted just a few days before I bought them. I make a lot of espresso drinks, and bean freshness is a big factor in the quality and flavor with espresso. I may try some other locals here and there, but I am a Black Powder customer for life.

As I walked up i instantly noticed the beautiful aroma of roasting coffee beans, and it only gets better the close you get. I stopped by just to pick up a bag of beans, and literally watches them load the beans into the package I was purchasing. It also might be cheaper to get your beans here, as there is no middle man retailer, I'm not sure what a bag might sell for elsewhere, but it was $12 for a 12oz bag of Black Hat whole beans. If you like local coffee, definitely worth stopping by!

I was pleasantly surprised by the items we ordered! We grabbed our food and drinks from the pick-up window and enjoyed the outdoor seating. Also, the iced matcha latte was the perfect shade of green. We didn't take pictures of the burritos, but they were a little smaller than I expected for the price, which cost between $8.25-$8.45. I can't really speak to the service because we ordered through the tablet and had minimal interactions with the baristas. However, I'm looking forward to coming back here to check out the indoor area, which we didn't really explore this time around. Smelly Cat Coffee is also conveniently located near a light rail station, if you ever decide to check this place out!
