Cafe Talya is a hidden gem. The service was great... the coffee mug stayed full and the breakfast was quick and delicious. The owner seemed to be running the place by himself taking order and cooking up on the grill. The place was cozy and different to a lot of other breakfast spots. Definitely worth the stop.

We will go back for pancakes! Food wasn't bad but it was way too salty for us. However, service here is crazy good. Our waitress is crazy quick! She's a star. Pancakes were so amazing, a nice amount of fluff and big!

An adorable place to get lunch or breakfast, the food is delicious and cooked right in front of you. The owners are incredibly nice and the service is great. I would highly recommend this cozy local spot for their fresh OJ and their omelettes.

I've eaten here a couple of times over the years and I am always happy with the food and service. The menu has all of the usual diner fare, and a few surprises like the Turkish breakfast. My mushroom and cheddar omelette was very good, including the potatoes; I particularly like that they automatically serve jam with toast. There are not many tables so there usually is a wait, but it goes quick. Service is fast and very warm/friendly so I am bumping up to five stars.

Visited here for the first time today and wow was I impressed. I was greeted by two of the staff who were friendly and knew their customers. Cafe Talya is a small and cozy spot; it's the hospitality plus the delicious menu items that'll keep you coming back! My friend ordered the french toast and I ordered the vegetarian omelet which came with breakfast potatoes and toast. I also ordered a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice as I always have too! Our food came out pretty quick and the portions? Huge for the price! My omelet was cooked to perfection and the breakfast potatoes were crispy. My friend loved her french toast as it came with fruit and whipped cream. I love spots like this and I can't believe I didn't visit sooner. They love their customers and greet each one with a smile. They knew majority by name too. Will be back!

We first ordered take-out from Cafe Tayla a few months back and were hooked! My husband and son have been to Cafe Talya a few times since after hockey practice at Bayonne HS and raved each time about it. So finally I got to sit down to this most excellent food for myself this past weekend. I ordered the original French toast with strawberries and it did not disappoint! So light with just the right touch of cinnamon. Bacon I ordered was crisp and delicious, not greasy at all. My son devoured two orders of silver dollar pancakes and my husband enjoyed his burger and fries. The cafe is small but cozy and inviting. The servers are so friendly and accommodating. We cannot wait to go back. Oh, and the prices are just right too!

Such a hidden gem in Bayonne. Great food, great staff, small space but always accommodating. This is hands down our favorite place to grab breakfast in the area.

Food is absolutely delicious but prices are a little too steep for what you get. Service is hit or miss.

Being followed down the road and confronted about not leaving a tip, along with being told not to return when you are working, was upsetting and unexpected. I want to be clear that tipping decisions are personal. While I understand that you work for tips and that this can be stressful, a guest's financial choices are not their responsibility to justify. My husband and I chose to dine at The Well because it has become our home away from home while we are in town, and we take pride in treating both the establishment and its staff with respect. Over the past two years, we have consistently tipped well, from Ryan, whom we met early on around 2 years ago, to Madison, who was brand new hire as of last week. On this particular visit, however, we felt like an inconvenience to you rather than welcomed guests. We also noticed discrepancies on the bill, including two identical drinks charged at different prices, and charges for standard burger condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup, which we did not request as extras. These factors influenced our decision that evening. I do empathize with the challenges of working in a tip-based position, and my intention is not to diminish that. However, confronting customers in this manner is not appropriate and places everyone in an uncomfortable position. We value The Well and the people who work there, which is why I felt it was important to address this directly to you. I hope this can be taken in the spirit intended and that future interactions are more positive.

The chicken was cooked perfectly with good seasoning on the breaded cutlet. There was extra lettuce but that didn't impact the quality of the sandwich. Make sure that all the guests were all very well taken care of. I mean my steak. I ordered a simple T-bone steak. I mean when I cut into it It was like cutting into butter I mean he really cooked. It medium rare how I ordered my steak I always try to give credit to everyone. It's very important to always give recognition to the waiters the front of the house just as well as in the back of the house, but everybody always points out the chefs and never says anything about the person that is serving them or they leave out the guy that's cleaning the bathroom. Every unit in a restaurant is very important and they all have important roles and then should get the credit that they deserve for all their hard work and I must say this restaurant has a really great staff, and they should be recognized for their hard work. My table is very clean. Everybody was dressed clean crisp not sloppy so I'm very impressed. I had a great time. Thank you very much Victor. You were our waiter. Thank you so much for how you treated us. It was so kind of you and you're such a polite and professional young man you're gonna go places in life

We also got s pitcher of red sangria which was ok tasting. The garlic shrimp were delicious! A tad bit tough but not inedible at all. We also had yellow rice which was so flavorful!!
