    Mussels in white wine sauce.
    Adele P.

This place is phenomenal! We had a lovely date night last night. Friends have been raving about Adour Bistro and I can see why. The owner checks on everybody to make sure that they are happy here. Service here is on point, and we wanted for nothing. We started with drinks, he had wine and I had an elderflower Spritz. For our appetizer we ordered the grilled octopus which was perfectly done. For dinner I had the PEI mussels in white wine and my date had duck confit. Both were superb. There was not a bad mussel in the bunch and his duck was absolutely delicious. The white wine sauce for the mussels was extremely tasty and the French fries were a hit. I rarely eat fries but these were a delight. We didn't stay for dessert because we still have so much left over at home due to the holidays. However, I am sure that we will be back and will enjoy even more at this phenomenal new restaurant. I wish them much success and I know that I will be a regular. There is nothing else quite like this around here and I'm glad that they have opened. If you're going, make sure to make a reservation. I made reservations on their website. Place is small but elegantly appointed.

I was craving duck confit and didn't even know this restaurant existed in Bayonne. After checking the reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! Everything I ordered was delicious and fresh. The place is small, so I recommend making a reservation before you go. The service was fantastic as well.

This place is a gem. They haven't been open long. It's a cozy place with pleasant ambiance - love the lamps they have on the tables. They have a bar in the back - not big - three seats. They have an outstanding menu. The owner and servers are very friendly and helpful. My brother and I took our mother out to dinner. We had the Cauliflower Flore and the Fritto Misto to start. For dinner we had the Duck Confit, Ratatouille with Goat Cheese and the Hanger Steak with Chimichurri sauce. We also had deserts. We really enjoyed ourselves and we will be back.

Adour Bistro is truly a hidden gem in Bayonne, and if I had to rate it, this is hands down the #1 restaurant in town. There may be older, more upscale, and pricier establishments around, but for consistently excellent food and drinks, this is the place to be. The dishes are always cooked to perfection, the cocktails are creative and expertly crafted, and the atmosphere is both friendly and relaxed. We've tried almost everything on the menu and have never once been disappointed. Chef Andrew is outstanding--we feel so lucky to have his talent here. And George's cocktails? Absolutely spot-on. (Fun fact: he even makes his own limoncello for the lemon spritz!) Just to give you a taste of our most recent visit: we enjoyed an Italian Manhattan, a watermelon martini, syrniki (farmer's cheese pancakes), blintzes, and steak & eggs. Everything was flawless. Huge thanks to Andrew and George for their passion and hard work--you make every visit special!

Ending with a very nice well sized chocolate lava cake.

Being followed down the road and confronted about not leaving a tip, along with being told not to return when you are working, was upsetting and unexpected. I want to be clear that tipping decisions are personal. While I understand that you work for tips and that this can be stressful, a guest's financial choices are not their responsibility to justify. My husband and I chose to dine at The Well because it has become our home away from home while we are in town, and we take pride in treating both the establishment and its staff with respect. Over the past two years, we have consistently tipped well, from Ryan, whom we met early on around 2 years ago, to Madison, who was brand new hire as of last week. On this particular visit, however, we felt like an inconvenience to you rather than welcomed guests. We also noticed discrepancies on the bill, including two identical drinks charged at different prices, and charges for standard burger condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup, which we did not request as extras. These factors influenced our decision that evening. I do empathize with the challenges of working in a tip-based position, and my intention is not to diminish that. However, confronting customers in this manner is not appropriate and places everyone in an uncomfortable position. We value The Well and the people who work there, which is why I felt it was important to address this directly to you. I hope this can be taken in the spirit intended and that future interactions are more positive.

The chicken was cooked perfectly with good seasoning on the breaded cutlet. There was extra lettuce but that didn't impact the quality of the sandwich. I also like laid back places for lunch so it was nice to sit relax and enjoy. Oh and the beer was served in chilled glasses which is always appreciated. Definitely recommend.

Make sure that all the guests were all very well taken care of. I have to add also the front of the house the maître D and everyone in the front of the house was really doing a great job I really find the very important to always give credit to all the front staff I mean, obviously the cooks in the back of the house meaning the kitchen know what they're doing. I mean my steak. I ordered a simple T-bone steak. I mean when I cut into it It was like cutting into butter I mean he really cooked. It medium rare how I ordered my steak I always try to give credit to everyone. It's very important to always give recognition to the waiters the front of the house just as well as in the back of the house, but everybody always points out the chefs and never says anything about the person that is serving them or they leave out the guy that's cleaning the bathroom. Every unit in a restaurant is very important and they all have important roles and then should get the credit that they deserve for all their hard work and I must say this restaurant has a really great staff, and they should be recognized for their hard work. My table is very clean. Everybody was dressed clean crisp not sloppy so I'm very impressed. I had a great time. Thank you very much Victor. You were our waiter. Thank you so much for how you treated us. It was so kind of you and you're such a polite and professional young man you're gonna go places in life
