Stopped in for a "working dinner" while on a Zoom meeting and hungry. I'm gluten and dairy free so I ordered the House Salad - Mediterranean Chop - with salmon (well-done) and a custom Coke (half diet and half regular). The sodas come from a can which surprised me, this girl loves a fountain soda, but no complaints. Bartender served me and was super pleasant and courteous while being understanding that I was on a meeting. Quiet enough for me to work as most others were dining outside, which I appreciated. Linen napkin even while dining at the bar. Food came fast and my fish was cooked as ordered, hot from the kitchen, balsamic dressing on the side. I don't think the salad dressing was house-made, but overall average food (3 stars) and excellent service (bumping this to 4 stars). read more

This restaurant is home to me. It offers so much I don't know where to begin. I have been coming here for years but since the new owner "Mo" has taken over, it is my go-to! Last night I tried the Mo burger. Best burger I have ever had!!! So many fantastic entrees like the sea bass to the eggplant which is my favorite. My husband loves the ribs. I have experienced it all from fine dining, pizzas and even breakfast all of it is delicious. Cafe sole pizza is yummy!!! Great bar area as well! Cocktails are always perfect! Haven't been here in a while. Love what was done inside. The food was awesome and the bar had everything an adult could enjoy.

A new favorite to our list of very good restaurants. I heard about it from a waitress in another restaurant, so glad I gave it a chance. Had lunch there with a friend and loved the lobster roll with fries and salad, it was great. Then my husband and I went for breakfast, yes I was surprised by the tablecloths at breakfast. but pleasantly. I was delighted by the creative menu. My husband stayed with traditional eggs w bacon and I had poached eggs on avocado toast, great to say the least. Have to end now, we are going back for another breakfast. ENJOY. This has always been a fav of mine, but it recently changed ownership and the new menu is awesome! There's literally nothing on this menu that isn't fabulous! If you haven't been, you must go! Tostada pizza is my favorite, then the rosemary chicken sandwich with orzo pasta, the sole salad rocks, and yesterday had the chicken and dumpling soup, which was yummy! So much to choose from. After friends had mentioned several times how much they enjoyed dining at Cafe Sole, we finally decided to join them on their most recent visit. Maybe we just got very unlucky or they just always got a good meal, but we would certainly not go back any time soon. The dinner was just one major disappointment. After enjoying the Guacamole app., I decided to just have another appetizer for dinner. $24.- for the grilled octopus appetizer. For that money, I would have expected a bit more than a fairly large mound of arugula salad with four or five small pieces of octopus. My wife didn't fare much better. The Short Rib dinner consisted primarily of an inedible amount of fatty, over-cooked tissue, no meat to speak of. I don't think she even ate one bite of it. Money wasted. The only reason we didn't say anything right there or send her meal right back was that we didn't want to ruin the evening for our friends who had been so complimentary about the restaurant and talked us into going there in the first place. read more

Some Reviews had made me nervous to try, but I've had multiple great experiences here. Huge portion sizes, great food. Great happy hour options. Lobster Mac and cheese is a favorite. My daughter loved the spaghetti and meatballs. And the pizza. The cheese with garlic bread is crazy good. The crab cake was a bit different then a traditional crab cake but both my daughter and I loved it. Service has always been great. Love sitting outside but inside is also very nice. read more

Just got back from our second dining experience at Cafe Sole. We were there 2 weeks ago with a party of 8. I was a bit nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but have to say we all loved our meals. And the server Jonah, which happens to be the owner's son, was very attentive to all our needs. Today we went back with another couple and again we all loved our meals. My husband ordered the jambalaya a second time and there was not a grain of rice on his plate. I ordered the spinach and artichoke pizzza, minus the cheddar cheese , and it was delicious!! Our friends loved their meals as well. Kiki our server this time was sweet and attentive as well. We met the owner and he is nothing like described in previous negative reviews. Unlike our friends, who are all snowbirds, we live here so we will definitely be back over the summer months. read more

Management has changed and the new owner is very rude. Does not seem to care about his potential customers. Very upsetting. Cafe Sole is not the same as it used to be. Today I came in with another person and tried to sit at a table outside that had three chairs. I was told I could not and that I had to sit at a high top, which I explained we didn't want to and would like to sit at a regular table. (Mind you there were many tables available, but I guess because they were for 3 or more people we weren't allowed to sit there) We said "okay then we will just leave if we can't sit at a table" and the owner said "okay, that's fine". My family and I eat here about once a week. We will no longer support this restaurant. It is not the same Cafe Sole unfortunately. Bad management by the owner. read more

Cafe Sole is the best thing that happened to Bluffs Square in over 33 years ! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is inviting, the staff is friendly, and the owner, Moe is always there. He comes over to the table for a chat with me and my friends. This is most definitely not the old Cafe Sole . If you haven't been there in the last two years, please do . Love Cafe Sole been going here for years! The new owner has made some beautiful changes to the inside and staff is so sweet ! Went to celebrate my Birthday with friends and Tanya took care of us, she was so on top of everyone's drinks and food! Had the best time and they were sweet enough to stay open late! I wouldn't even give 1 star and am absolutely shocked at what I just experienced here. My sister and I had been in the restaurant industries ourselves for 18 years each and have never been treated like this!!! The two of us and our 5 little kids (ages 3-11) were looking for somewhere to eat after leaving the beach and saw their sign that said "happy hour daily 50% off".. we went in and sat down and asked about their special. Our server said "The drinks in red ink are on happy hour (which was starting in 5 minutes). We proceeded to order our food and again inquired about the happy hour drinks as the prices they had listed were not 50% off. The server said we were correct, the sign does say 50% off but they aren't and didn't know why. I said well let me ask the manager. The server legit looked scared to go ask him and I now know why. He came over and told me that while everything else had changed, they were indeed waiting on a new sign that would no longer say 50% off. Jokingly I said, maybe a piece of tape to cover that part of the sign would help, and he said in the most condescending way, well the drinks are still heavily discounted. I didn't say anything (because that wasn't the point obviously) and then he said "you know what you can do? You can leave!" I couldn't believe it. I said you are kicking two moms and our 5 small kids out over what?? 50 cents?? He then called me a sociopath. All I said was that his sign said 50% off and when confronting him about it he couldn't handle someone calling him out. I will not be surprised when this business fails as no successful business can possibly be sustained by such poor customer service. Even your server is scared of you! read more

I've tried dining here twice Both times disappointing Last Thursday I ordered dinner for take out at 5:50 pm for a 7:15 pick up At 7:30pm the food was ready Today, Monday morning, I was denied breakfast outside on the sidewalk by Cate She informed me that they and the owners do not allow service dogs My 11 pound jack Russell and I told her that we saw people with a service dog getting served at an inside table Thursday evening Her response, "I don't care, I wasn't here".
