What this shop lacks in atmosphere and space it makes up for in the speed of service; despite having only two staff there in the morning time (when I most frequently go) even when the queue is out the door, it's still moving. And when all you want is that first shot of caffeine in your system, speed is of the essence. The friendly staff are also a joy when still blinking sleep from your eyes.
The coffee is so so, middle of the road, somewhere between what we would have gotten in Dublin in the 90s (standard and a little burnt) and the more considered seasonal blends and single origin brews that now delight our tastebuds elsewhere in the city. But it's not bad by any means, and I love that they don't charge extra for soya milk. That seems to be rare these days.
The food is standard take away sandwich and salad stuff but where they excel is in fresh out of the oven muffins and organic porridge. There's nothing like delicious hearty porridge if you are in a rush on a cold morning! read more
