I haven't been into a Café Sol in a long time for two reasons. 1) Their coffee became so extravagantly overpriced of which the standard of coffee provided did not compare, so I switched coffee house. 2) Their sandwiches, of which some were quite good value, I found the fillings use had deteriorated in quality somewhat. So I switched sandwich house.
Today I found myself passing the Lower Hatch Street branch of Café Sol when my tummy started rumbling, so I decided to go in. After much deliberation I settled for the goats cheese wrap, which was also filled with red onion marmalade, roasted peppers, red onion and baby spinach on a tomato wrap. And it was lovely, I would definitely go out of my way to try another one.
My server, however, was a bit abrupt when I asked where the napkins were. I did look around and it was not apparent where they where. I know some businesses in the food industry keep their napkins behind the counter to keep costs down, so I asked. He barked at me that they were behind me, but the sandwich fridge was behind me. He meant they were in the other room, which was not behind me. He could have said by the front door, which I would be passing through when I leave with my take away purchase.
