Was so disappointed...The reviews looked great and the website menu was intriguing. Unfortunately, we were told the first day that breakfast ended at 11am at the Sunriver location and that the "breakfast served until 3pm" was only at the Bend spot. We stayed for their lunch offerings, but was nothing special. Went in the next day earlier and already had our order in mind. Again, we were let down. The menu at the Sunriver location is a bare bones version of what's showing on their website. No eggs benedict, monte cristo, etc... Settled for what they had. Again, nothing special. Maybe we really didn't miss anything. Decided not to make the trip up to Bend the next day. Your website simply says "Breakfast served until 3pm" There is no redirecting of menus to particular locations. Really surprised this hasn't been brought to your attention yet. read more

5 stars for Sunriver; this is one of the better dining experiences without having to drive all the way to Bend. Very friendly service, prompt delivery of food. Great for breakfast! After years of searching for the perfect breakfast cafe, I may have stumbled upon it. Tucked in Sunriver Village, Cafe Sintra teases all of the senses. The ambience is natural and inviting, including bay window seating. The first glimpse of its offerings is the display of tasty pastries. Try one or all, and you will be satsifed throughout the day, particulary with the Portuguese biscuits. For a hearty meal, the omelettes and potatoes are fresh and utterly delightful. In fact, everything is served fresh by helpful, charming people. And yes, they even have great coffee. This place is special and deserves your hard-earned money. Stopped off here looking for a quick bite for lunch when we arrive at the Sun River Resort. I Had a great Turkey sandwich with an amazing Dijon mustard, and a side of creamy tomato soup that had nice hefty pieces of basil leaf in it. This place was just a-ok. I had the brie omelet and there was hardly any brie. Lots of mushrooms and tomatoes (I didn't even realize it came with tomatoes?). Came here for breakfast, but missed it by just a few minutes which worked out in our favor. Their fresh squeezed juice is very delightful. Their bread is baked in house and is fabulous! I ordered the club sandwich and added havarti cheese, it did not disappoint. Even though I was full, I wanted to keep eating. We were a large crowd of 11 with 3 small kids, 2 larger and adults: all hungry for breakfast quickly served before departing for homes. It was a busy mid-Labor Day morning: the staff quickly offered us a fast seating at their outdoor tables comfortable for all (and lovely for the kids to be swung around on the grass right by us). The breakfast selections were wonderful-from pancakes and bacon and waffles devoured by the small fry, to the avocado-tomato scrambles, Portuguese tomato scramble and egg croissant sandwich, plus beautifully presented fruit bowls filled with a wide variety of seasonal offerings. Service was dedicated to giving us fast and correct deliveries with smiles. Inside the cafe is a very tempting array of gorgeous breakfast breads/rolls/pastries of all kinds-am only sorry I didn't get a few to go for our next day's breakfast! read more

We stopped here for lunch on a hot day. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Waitress a little slow to get to us. We ordered drinks. They have Portuguese wines for a reasonable price. They also have iced tea. I had a Portuguese sandwich: sautéed vegetables and linguist sausage. Brother in law had a turkey sandwich. Wife and sister had a salad with berries to which they added avocado and chicken. Service was slow but friendly. Price for everything seemed like a good deal. read more

Bend Local exsploring neibor town of sunriver and this was one of the only places that surved a breakfast.... Too bad it was a let down, i payed 17 dollars for 2 eggs, 2 peices of bacon, cold flavorless potatoes, and a unripe avacodo. read more

Great little cafe with a coffee bar. It's an order at the counter place with cafe style food. The sourdough toast is a highlight. Laid back atmosphere with good breakfast options. I ordered the French toast and it was a large portion. Fairly standard, but the bread they use elevates the dish. Lots of homemade pastry options for a grab and go as well. read more

While staying in Sunriver, this was our go-to spot for morning coffee and sometimes pastries. The coffee was good & we were obviously happy with it as we kept coming back. The scones were very moist, unlike the dry scones at the huge chain coffee store across the way. The muffins were also great, especially the pumpkin one. My husband loved the bread pudding muffin, but I thought the top was overdone & it was just kind of blah to me--I wasn't feeling the love. My daughter had a red velvet muffin and gave it a 8/10. She said it was good, not great. We had lunch here as well, and it was pretty tasty. They had a couple of different vegetarian sandwiches on the menu, which both my son & I got (different ones). They were good, but since I don't remember what was on them, I wouldn't call them a "wow". Husband had wilted spinach salad with salmon & said it was great. The menu was pretty varied, so lots of choices. Not open for dinner though. I would call this place a decent spot for a bite to eat, but it didn't knock my socks off. read more

We were in the Sunriver area Sunday morning and stopped here for breakfast, needing a simple and inexpensive meal. Fortunately this place was just what we needed. The tea came with a pot of hot water so I ended up with two glasses of tea, which was a pleasant surprise. The toast was made with good bread, not some cheap loaf bread you'd get at the supermarket. The fruit cup had fresh fruit in it, not something from a can or freezer. The potatoes were tasty, with a slightly spicy seasoning on them. However they tasted a bit like they'd been cooked in a pan that was overdue for cleaning. This was the only downside of the meal, though. My belgian waffle with strawberries and bananas was done just right. My companions enjoyed their crepe and omelette and we all left feeling full and satisfied. We would definitely come back next time we're in the area. read more

The wait for brunch is horrible. I have no idea why they don't add more dining tables. They waste half the restaurant on a waiting room, how about a using that space as a dining room??? They have no hustle either, even on super busy days. The food and baked goods are great, but the wait is sometimes obnoxious. And, the way I see it, they have made no improvements in capacity, not for the past 10 or so years it has been open. Dear restaurant owners, please add more tables. read more

Stopped by for Breakfast on Saturday morning. We had a short 5-10 minute wait for a table. I got the steak & eggs and my Husband got the Roma & Avocado scramble. Both were fantastic. The steak is thin sliced but very well seasoned and sautéed with minced garlic. The service was great. We will for sure be back for more. read more

We live in Sunriver and eat here fairly often. It's our go to breakfast place. They have slightly upscale versions of traditional breakfast foods for reasonable prices. I usually get their French Toast Trio. The bread they use for the French Toast is much better than most places use. The sausage is also very nice. Not like the cheap links you get at most breakfast places. If you ask for potatoes, you don't get pre-packaged frozen hash browns, you get chopped up fresh red potatoes. That's the theme - nicer than average food for average prices. We love it! read more

Okay all I can say is PANCAKE TRIO.....whatever they put in the batter is yummy and fluffy and my favorite on earth! We've come here for over 11 years and can't miss having at least one breakfast here. I've had a wonderful omelet with goat cheese, and my husband always has the portugese sausage and eggs..... yummy breads and toasts too. I absolutely love their Portuguisa(?) and my wife swears their tomato bases soups are awesome. On top of that, their breads seem freshly baked; all the breads are moist and flavorful. The food was overpriced and bland. I got an egg scramble and it tasted like just egg. Couldn't taste the chilies at all. The kid's pancakes were so-so and the potatoes were dry and bland. They need son seasoning and Rosemary or something. It was $45 for 4 people and we only got three drinks. Crazy! The snicker doodle cookies were OK. The only good thing was the toast.
