    Fried Shrimp platter with coleslaw
    Catherine P.

My husband ordered the fried oyster and shrimp platters with one side of coleslaw and one side of corn. Each came with a container of remoulade. I really enjoyed the light and fluffy batter on each. The oysters were soft and moist inside with a crunchy outside. The shrimp reminded of a crisp tempura batter. The coleslaw was ok with celery seed but not as good as I have had. The corn was cooked with seasoning but otherwise pretty average. I would recommend these two dishes as they were good for their money.

    Shrimp & Grits

Great food. This is real Cajun cooking. A review below said the grits were thin - I disagree and thought they were the best grits I've ever eaten. Shrimp & Grits was phenomenal, gumbo was great, red beans was the best I ever had, crawfish Mac n' cheese was dank!!!! Fiancée and I ate 8 beignets.... Will be back!

Super surprised by the quality of food! Hidden gem for sure. Wondered in by chance and had no expectations. This is real and real good Louisiana seafood. beignets were free and on point!

Don't forget to leave with some beignets!

This place was AMAZING! The best authentic Cajun I've ever had. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. Wonderful tasting food, we ordered half the menu and there wasn't a thing that was less then scrumptious. I can not recommend enough! 10 stars!!!

Traveling for work and was looking for good New Orleans cooking, I found it here…read more I stopped for lunch, got hear right as the doors opened and the place was full by the time we got our drinks, good sign. Service was friendly and attentive, good atmosphere. The food only topped off the good first impression. For appetizers we got gator bites ( seasoning was so good they didn't even need sauce) second was the Andui and shrimp Mac & Cheese (amazing) I could have just eaten these and been satisfied. The shrimp and crayfish porboy was large and tasted so good, man the seasoning on the fries was so good. The batter on the fish was amazing as well. We left with food to spare and already planning on what we will get next time we're in town. And only 15min from the airport. Great job Lola!!

The crawfish was cooked well and had great flavor. The only thing we noticed was they were a bit juicy--we think they may not have soaked in the boil as long, which usually helps absorb more flavor. My husband really enjoyed them (this trip was mostly for him!), but they were a little spicy for me. I ended up getting a Caesar salad with fried crawfish tails instead, and it was huge--I only made it through about half. We also got margaritas during happy hour--both were really good. I had the lychee margarita, and my husband got the mango with a Cajun rim. Service was very good--our waiter was attentive and friendly. The only small downside was that we did feel a little rushed. It does say on the menu that they ask guests not to stay longer than 1.5 hours, so just something to keep in mind. They are pet-friendly, and we sat outside. There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the tables had umbrellas, which was nice. The only other thing we weren't thrilled about was the credit card surcharge--it was around 3-3.5%, which feels a bit high, especially since most people don't carry cash anymore. Overall, a great spot--especially if you're a crawfish fan!

We both absolutely loved our meals! She said it was one of the best things she's ever eaten in her life. Mine was really good too. The Mac and cheese is very much southern style. Both dishes did not skimp out on the meat. The crawfish in mine was really flavorful. The sausage in both dishes was great as well. Really a standout meal here and compared favorably to what I have had in New Orleans. Our server was super friendly and personable (I tossed the receipt and forgot her name unfortunately) and good came out fast and was presented nicely. Atmosphere was fun, there was a karaoke contest with prizes going on. Beignets for dessert were perfect. Overall price was slightly steep but given the quality I don't mind at all. J.Ja

The beignets were just ok as well....oh I did like that the spinach dip was served with pita chips

Located in a strip mall area there's plenty of parking. They have a Louisiana/Cajun/New Orlean type cuisine Rachael was our server and was extremely helpful as well as patient with the group I was with. Since reading the reviews prior to visiting, I wanted to try the Oyster Po-Boy. On the lunch menu, they had Combos where you can order a half Po-Boy along with soup or Gumbo for $13.95. The Oyster Po-Boy added an extra $1.00. So that's what I ordered----half oyster Po-Boy with Shrimp & Corn soup. The soup tasted like it may have been homemade. It was excellent with at least 6 medium size shrimp along with a delicious corn and seafood broth. The half Po-Boy was definitely a good size packed with large fried oysters. They had a separate room which I didn't visit. I'm guessing for larger parties or overflow. I believe they also serve alcohol although I didn't see a bar when I was there. Mainly people there for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

I started with the she-crab soup, a Charleston staple that 82 Queen advertises as an award-winning dish. During our five days in Charleston, it seemed like just about every restaurant had she-crab soup on the menu, but I waited until visiting 82 Queen to finally give it a try. I don't have any other she-crab soup to compare it to, but I can say it was absolutely delicious. Consider me a fan. After five days of enjoying Charleston's incredible food scene, we were looking for a lighter lunch since we were planning to splurge later that evening at Halls Chophouse. My wife and I split the southern tomato pie and the chicken salad wrap, and the combination was perfect. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were looking for at that point in our trip. We chose to sit inside because of the humidity, and from our table we had a wonderful view overlooking the courtyard. Surrounded by mature trees, brick pathways, and historic Charleston charm, it provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and enjoyable lunch. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was outstanding. Everything came together to create a memorable experience. 82 Queen delivered exactly the kind of classic Charleston lunch we were hoping for. If you're visiting Charleston, it's well worth a stop and was easily one of the standout dining experiences of our trip.

We were a little early for our reservations and were told that they are seating exactly on time, which was totally fine. We strolled around a bit and returned at our designated time. We were seated on the first floor in a room near the street. We loved how each room had a different ambiance to it! It really is a beautiful restaurant with a lot of charm to it! Our waitress was very nice! She was very helpful with her recommendations and very attentive. My husband and I both ordered drinks and my daughter ordered a Shirley Temple. Her Shirley Temple was extremely grenadine heavy, which I think they assumed they were doing her a favor, but she was a bit overwhelmed by how sweet it was. They serve it with a Sprite instead of Ginger Ale, just FYI. For dinner, I of course had to order the She Crab soup. Believe the hype! It was the best She Crab soup I had in Charleston. It was sheer perfection. I ordered the Skillet Chicken Cutlets and my husband had the Braised Beef Short Ribs. His dinner was delicious, the short ribs were so soft and tender and just melted in your mouth. I enjoyed the few bites of his more than my chicken, even though my meal was still good. There was A LOT of corn with my meal, but everything had such a great taste to it. We rounded the dinner off with a piece of Pecan Pie and vanilla ice cream which was very good as well. This restaurant is definitely on the more expensive side so be ready to drop a pretty penny. Overall, it was pretty darn good, and we will probably be back!
