Despite the multitude of new cafes to try in the area, I always come back to Sip for their seasonal drinks. Every few months, they manage to come up with creative flavors that you can't find anywhere else. This Fall, they have Slutty Caramel Apple, Miso Maple, and Abuelita's Vietnamese Mocha, just to name a few. The drinks always look super cute and photogenic, but they taste even better than they look. I love that Sip makes their syrups and foams in-house and whisks their matcha to order, because you can really taste the freshness in the drinks. The matcha flavor is present, but not bitter like some of the more popular OC spots. This balance allows you to taste the seasonal flavors along with the matcha. Their espresso drinks are very smooth and do not taste acidic or burnt at all. There is almost always a line out the door when you visit on the weekends, but it moves quite quickly. Inside, Sip's decor is welcoming and unpretentious, with a picnic-style vibe. They always put up themed decorations and display some matcha, coffee beans, and merch for sale along the wall. Seating is limited, but there is usually a spot to sit while you wait for your drinks, either outside or inside. I have seen some people study/work in the seats near the bar, but I would not recommend because of the crowds. Sip is located in a large plaza, so there is plenty of parking. Sip is definitely worth a try (or ten)!

In regards to the matcha, I feel that the matcha depth gets overpowered. But still enjoyable if I'm looking for a fun drink. The design of the store is very nice and LA-like. Drinks come out in a good amount of time, and it's nice to watch the baristas make them.

Worth every penny!…read more I've been here before and always liked this place, but this was our first time coming back with the kids and somehow I think I like it even more now! First off, the food was delicious. I've had A LOT of matcha and matcha fusion drinks, but the coconut matcha here is really unique and sooo good. Everything from the appetizers to the entrees and desserts was great. Some of our favorites were the garlic noodles with spicy sauce, seafood ceviche, squid and mango salad, and crab toast. The desserts were also surprisingly good. The banana bread pudding was amazing, and we really liked the frozen yogurt parfait. It's not your typical frozen yogurt dessert--I think it might be more of a Vietnamese-style yogurt--but whatever it is, it was delicious. What really stood out to me this time though was how kid friendly the place is. We have an infant and a toddler, and there was actually enough room around our seating to keep the stroller with us without feeling like we were completely in the way. I also really appreciated the music level. So many restaurants nowadays blast music to the point where you start wondering if it's too much for babies and toddlers. Here, they hit the sweet spot. Loud enough to create a nice vibe, but not so loud that we were worried about the kids. Service was exceptional too. And trust me, kids can make a mess lol. Our toddler spilled a drink and our waiter was so understanding about it. More importantly, you could tell it was genuine. There was no judgment, no annoyed reaction, nothing that made us feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. When you're dining out with little kids, that kind of attitude from the staff really makes a difference. I already liked this place before having kids, but I honestly didn't expect the experience to be even better coming back as a family. Great food, really good drinks, amazing service, and surprisingly kid friendly. Definitely a place we'll keep coming back to.

My favorite will always be the Pistachio Cream Latte. Also tried some of the other coffees that they had. And if you're familiar with einspanner, essentially it's coffee with whipped cream in it. So that's exactly what I went for. The café is clean and trendy. The baristas are very sweet and after a few minutes my drink was ready. I gave it a little mix and took my first sip. I will say the coffee itself is strong. You can definitely taste the coffee, but it's something about the thickness of the whipped cream that didn't quite mix well with the coffee even after a good mix, the coffee is on the thicker side, which I didn't love. I believe I'm more of a cloud top person that's more airy, which is easier to get mixed in than a thicker cream. maybe I'll love it if I get it hot so that way the cream melts into the hot coffee, but having it iced isn't for me. I'll come back when it starts to get cold outside.

The business has a few tables outside and a good amount of seating inside as well. I ordered a Ube Cream Coffee - Saigon Style ($5.50). Yummmm!! I love how strong but creamy and delicious this coffee is. I'm hooked! I am Vietnamese and I approve of this cup of coffee. While I was there I saw their glorious casing of pastries and I couldn't resist. I ordered and enjoyed: 2 Garlic Bread ($5.35/each), Chocolate Croissant ($6.60), Almond Croissant ($6.85), Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread ($4.75) and 2 Macarons ($3.20). Their pastries are fantastic. My boyfriend doesn't enjoy sweets as much as I do so that garlic bread was good for it. The croissants were really flakey and flavorful. I enjoyed the bread. For the macarons I was given a third one as a thanks for all the items I orders and I liked all 3. Yum! Wish I could come back to support the business, especially with their incredible coffee, but I was told that they will be closing on 7/31/26. I'm so sad I didn't discover them sooner. I wish them all the best and hope they re-open in the future.

Food & Selection The Good: The food and desserts…read morethemselves taste great, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is pleasant. The Issue: The bakery case is rarely stocked properly. Even right at the 7:00 a.m. opening, the selection is only about 25% full, and they consistently run out of the best items by noon. Management & Service Decline There has been a noticeable shift in management over the last 6 to 9 months. It feels like leadership is focused entirely on "running lean" rather than prioritizing customer service, variety, and satisfaction. Consequently, the restaurant is rarely as full as it used to be, and overall business has visibly dropped off. Additionally, the dining area could use better attention, as the tables are not always clean. Drive-Thru & Morning Operations Attempting to visit during the morning commute has become consistently frustrating due to a rotating list of operational issues: Glitchy and problematic performance with the new app. Cones blocking the drive-thru lanes without clear reason. Doors failing to open on time, remaining locked past opening time of 7:00 a.m. Recommendation: To better serve commuting customers, management should consider moving the opening time to 6:30 a.m.--and crucially, ensure that operations actually begin on time. Summary Verdict This location used to offer great service and fully stocked cases. It has immense potential to be busy all the time, but management needs to shift its focus away from extreme cost-cutting and back toward building the business and taking care of its customers. I've spoken to several of the employees over the last few weeks and I'm hearing that they keep hearing this from their customer base. Hopefully someone in management will see this and bump things up a notch.
