Today, my husband, our friend Viktor, and I stopped by Cafés Quán by singers Justin Nguyễn & Trina Bảo Trân for coffee, good food, and a little catch-up time together. My first impression was how clean, modern, and inviting the café is. It's a really nice place to relax with family or friends. Of course, the coffee was a must! We each ordered something different, so naturally we had to taste each other's drinks. Everything was flavorful and refreshing. But one of my favorites was definitely the Vietnamese baguette sticks (bánh mì que). The bread was served warm and crispy on the outside while still soft inside -- so good! Normally, they come with pâté and pork floss, but since I don't eat either one, I asked them to leave both out. I really appreciate that they were able to customize it for me, and it was still delicious! We also tried the croissants and powdered-sugar beignets. The warm beignets paired perfectly with the coffee. Good coffee, good food, and most importantly, good company. Such a nice little lunch date with my husband and our friend Viktor. 5 stars from me! We'll definitely be back!

Two small parking on both sides, so I didn't know where I should park. But there is plenty of street parking tho. Definitely worth coming back often just to sit with the guys and relax.

I walked in and there was a group of older men all sitting at one table and they just stared at me in the doorway. It felt super weird and uncomfortable so I left. I thought it was going to be a cute little cafe from the photos and storefront but I don't think that's what this is. Edit to add after seeing the business response (they also privately messaged me about it which was not ok): This was my honest impression when I went. I'm not getting paid for it. You can look at my profile. I have a pretty diverse review history of positive, negative, and everything in between from all sorts of different places. I don't even review that many places so how would I be using my Yelp to get paid. Accusing someone of being paid because they didn't have a good experience at your business is weird. Maybe I just didn't have a good impression ‍

The staff were genuinely friendly and super helpful when it came to explaining the drinks and pointing us toward their popular picks. That kind of warmth really sets a place apart. We went with the Spanish latte -- I got mine with oat milk -- and honestly, it was so good. You can taste the quality of the coffee right away, and it's not one of those overly sweet drinks that masks everything. The touch of cinnamon was the perfect balance. Chef's kiss. The ambiance matched the good energy of the staff -- cozy, welcoming, great vibes all around. We only wish we lived closer, because this would 100% be our regular spot. If you're in the Garden Grove area, don't sleep on this place! And if this review helped you out, a quick thumbs up means the world -- it helps others find hidden gems like this one.

I would normally order banh mi, but had just ate at another place so opted for egg rolls, which the nice cashier lady fried fresh for us. It was decent. Wish it had more filling, but it's normal for shops to skimp on filling vs homemade egg rolls. Overall, not a bad place for a quick fix.

The interior was fairly clean, and they offer a wide variety of Vietnamese, style sweet desserts that many people enjoy. I ordered chè bà ba, chè táo soạn, and chè đậu trắng. Honestly, none of them really suited my taste. The chè bà ba was okay but nothing special. As for the chè đậu trắng and chè táo soạn, the coconut milk flavor was quite unusual for me. The coconut milk had a pandan aroma, which was nice, but it was very thin and lacked the rich, creamy texture you would expect from proper coconut milk. For desserts like chè đậu trắng or chè táo soạn, the coconut milk makes up at least 50% of what defines the dish, and unfortunately, this was very disappointing. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, but overall, the desserts here just weren't a good fit for my personal taste. There is plenty of parking available around the area, which is convenient.
