When we were sat at the table, a birthday card was waiting for my mom. Our waitress Bailey was so nice and accommodated my mom's request to not draw too much attention to the celebration. I also adore the atmosphere in 618. The lighting is so elegant with the many chandeliers and the flowers on the walls. 618 has easily become a top restaurant for me.

I had several friends with me, many of whom are experienced bartenders or servers, including myself, and they confirmed it was not a proper Cosmopolitan. Upset that Cheryl had added a tip without my consent and served a drink that clearly lacked alcohol, I approached her to express my dissatisfaction. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, she gave me attitude and stated I shouldn't have been drinking before my sports event. She did offer a replacement drink at no charge, but again, it was just juice. Meanwhile, Cheryl and Alex were seen discussing the situation behind the bar, which only made the experience more uncomfortable. I want to make it clear that I will return to Sammy D's, but I will not be ordering drinks from Cheryl or Alex again. Additionally, I do not believe bartenders should be drinking on the job, and if Cheryl had been sober, this experience might have gone differently.

Honestly, Texas Roadhouse cooks a way better steak that literally blows this place out of the water. We spent over $300 on this meal and left so disappointed that I told my wife we are going to do a birthday "do over" so we can celebrate at a place with actually good food. Come here for the scene and the crowd, but don't expect the food to match the price tag.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who promptly inquired about our reservation and escorted us to our table. The decor at Cafe Luna impressed us with its modern chic aesthetics. Despite the restaurant's longevity, it was clear that the management took great care in maintaining a fresh and stylish ambiance. To begin our meal, I ordered a perfect espresso martini, while my wife opted for the red sangria, which she absolutely loved. For our main course, we decided to share both the veal parmigiana plate and a serving of calamari. We were thrilled with our choices as the veal was incredibly flavorful and the calamari was perfectly crispy without being greasy. The servers at Cafe Luna were not only friendly but also efficient in taking care of our needs throughout the evening. However, I have a small complaint regarding the dinner experience. Along with the regular menu, we were also given the happy hour menu. Excited about the loaded croquets listed on it, we tried to order them, only to be informed that they were exclusively available at the bar. If you have not been to this restaurant before it is a must try. And they are a little bit pricey but it is well worth the extra money for the service and the food quality that you will get. Service is top notch very friendly and clean always wore a mask and gloves whenever around customers which in this day and age is a must. Also they have a table spaced out approximately 8 to 10 feet. That should have been a tell tale sign everything from that point was just downhill ordered a. $150 porterhouse for 2 bland no seasoning chewy as all hell, lobster Mac and cheese has no lobster when I told the server his answer was let me tell the kitchen!!!! We arrived in time for our 8 PM dinner only to be told that we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. That should have been our hint to leave. Once seated, the wait for food was interminable. I had heard great things about this restaurant, but our food was just "OK." The service was not good ( not only did we wait forever to eat) but they never offered water at the table, and we had to wait a long time for drinks. I think the biggest turnoff was the atmosphere.The place is very noisy, and to make yourself heard at the table, you had to yell. I had stopped here with my family and it was out standing. I don't go to restaurants often but when I go I expect perfect service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and sat right away. Kyle was our wonderful waiter. He gave us the time to relax before ordering. And the entrees we ordered were delicious and hot and generous portions. I had the chicken fajitas. Paul had the pierogies. He would have enjoyed them so much more if they were steamed. Next time he'll order them that way. We also had coffee and two desserts. The fried donuts were so yummy with the jam and whipped cream. They also had the rice pudding parfait. All was good in a fun setting with the bar and TVs Parking is free in their lot. We started off we our coffee and Kyle was nice enough to make fresh pits for us. Nice and hot, not bitter or old. I had their French onion soup with roasted onions on top, very little bread and cheese in the soup. It was tasty and delicious. My friend had a Caesar Salad. For our main courses, I had their shrimp fajita, my friend had the chicken fajita, her husband had the pirogies and my husband had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. Everything came out just the way we asked. Flavorful, huge portions and if they needed to be hot they were. For dessert we shared rice pudding and berry-filled beignets with a side of sauce and freshly made whipped cream. Delicious! We were seated not too far from the golf course view and it was lovely. As I mentioned, Kyle was an excellent server. Kudos to Kyle

Recommending Pauline's Cucina for: 1) The food, a classic…read more"your grandfather's choice" kind of place. 2) The service was excellent as a family owned & run restaurant. Everybody was making sure that everything went well. All this and without being overbearing or smothering; something I'm quite sensitive to. We met the Chef, father of our servers , both his wife and his son (and others), and between them there wasn't any wish that wasn't granted in some fashion: Right down to the desserts. I was going to have the Italian bracciole, but I got talked out of it by the chef getting 3+ mini braccioles instead! I mean, our server, an excellent young man introduced me (or the way around) to his father the chef, and we talked food and how things could be done. Que Bella! The "mini" braccioles were quite good; not dry which was mine can be when I make them. A pleasure. My companion ordered the penne pasta with chicken which was also quite good. A fairly delicate-ish sauce that wasn't heavy handed and worked well needing just a quick grind of black pepper after the first tasting to round it out. Pepper grinders were on every table; a very positive move considering the sawdust and bridge sweepings that are in most shakers. They are but a poor shade of the real thing. And even older peppercorns, freshly ground, beat year-old preground powder out of a tin any day. I should also mention that olive oil is on tap at all times for breads and such. Another good thing. Prices being what they are, I can't really complain, but I do remember grumbling that sans alcohol (BYOB), two people came to roughly $110 plus tip. To be fair, that came with tiramisu and cheese cake, Italian style, along with an espresso. I mean, really, can't kick at all. The only thing I might alter are the string lights that festoon a good part of the decor. They're a bit dated, and don't quite offer enough light to see by. My companion mentioned that it was a little dim in the restaurant which made the menu is a little difficult to read. That would have to be the largest "negative" of the evening. It's dated, and your grandfather would've loved the place. Probably did! I'm not a grandfather and I loved the place. It was nice to be treated like guests of the family; I enjoyed that. I do expect to be back even though it's a long walk from Jersey City.

Portions are huge so you are guaranteed an extra meal when you get home. When asked about deserts the young waiter described everything that "his mother" - who had also been serving us had made that day. Paulines reminds me of the family run restaurants we had many years ago in the Bronx.

From the vibrant décor and lively atmosphere to the warm, attentive service, both restaurants deliver the same high-quality experience. Most importantly, the food is outstanding. Add an excellent selection of margaritas and an impressive collection of tequilas, and you have all the ingredients for a memorable meal. The tableside guacamole is simple but very good. Since it's prepared right at your table, you can customize the spice level to your liking. The steak tampiqueña is, in my opinion, the best north of Tampico. The flank steak was tender, juicy, perfectly marinated, and expertly cooked. Served with rice, refried beans, warm tortillas, and traditional accompaniments, it was simply exceptional. When I came in asking for my stolen money back I was refused and told in the morning this restaurant is not Viva Margarita until noon even though they open at 6:30 AM? The food is okay, but very very shady business practices.
