I found this place on our way to Burlington. This is the best Breakfast I have tested in a very long time Enjoy the farm fresh special salad, cheese Omelette and make sure to order more veggies to your omelette. Staff are lovely and the outside seating is beautiful.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time. The curb appeal is so inviting in this part of Vermont, pumpkins and great garden array. The building is divided between the cafe and a farmers market. The breeze way between the two main businesses offers table and chairs with a great view of a great backyard. The yard behind the building has several tables and chairs for dinners to enjoy their cafe favs. It also has a pond and great atmosphere. The market offered many types of produce and very reasonable prices. There were several people making purchases while we enjoyed our food. For the food. We ordered the Loco Roasted chicken sandwich on multigrain with cucumber, tomato, lettuce, onion, sprouts, and pickle. The sandwich was very flavorful, the chicken moist and cut perfectly for a sandwich. Bill ordered the ham sandwich in white, which he enjoyed very much. To wash the sandwiches down, we both enjoyed their lemonade. I am not sure if the lemonade is homemade or a mix, but it was tasty. This a great little spot to grab a nice lunch in a great atmosphere. Or take it to go. My only disappointment was in the mustard options, yellow only. I expected a venue with such fresh ingredients to have a good brown or artisan mustard, but hey, I like my mustard so you may not take away a star for that.

Friendly staff, prompt service, great food. There's not much more you can ask for from a place like this. Smalltown vibe with high caliber flavors. Compliments from a traveler passing by, I'd love to eat here again.

Vegan breakfast, done right. I order a la carte: side of home fries no butter with spinach, mushrooms and garlic added in. Dry English muffin with avocado and sprouts on the side. I use the avocado spread on the english muffin. Also, their homemade jam is perfect- you should try it. This cafe takes pride in what they do, it is evident in their customer service and plating (the food is always garnished and appealing to the eye). It is hard to find a restaurant with vegan options- I was delighted when this restaurant exceeded my expectations and I have become a regular. They have consistent service and quality.

Great accommodating service!! We ordered a lot and they were more than happy to serve us and make sure we were satisfied. They wear masks and gloves to make customers feel safe during COVID-19. Not to mention, The food was amazing! Best BLT I've ever had! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here all of the time! Thank you Cafe Loco!

The variety of stylish…read morerestaurants with a culinary spin that dot the downtown districts add to the Vermont quintessential feel. And Wunderbar definitely is part of that local charm. On the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend, we made a reservation at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly. Service was overall fantastic and we were super impressed with the cocktails and food, leaving happily satisfied and stuffed at the end. I can't think of anything we ordered that we didn't like, though, of course, there were some favorites: Alpine Negroni and Smoking Gun cocktail were delicious. We LOVED the Ahi Tuna Tostadas, Wunder Wings, and Roasted Carrots - and hands-down our favorite of the night was the Miso Mussels. We weren't sure we ordered enough between the 3 of us, but portions were overall done well and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish. I truly can't wait to come back to Wunderbar the next time I'm visiting the area. (side note: the current full menu is difficult to find online - the "online ordering" menu from their website is limited)

It feels like the kind of spot you stumble into once and immediately decide you're coming back. I had the Marsala Fried Chicken and WOW. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor--hands down one of the best fried chicken dishes I've had anywhere. The Marsala twist makes it unique and completely unforgettable. I also tried the Spicy Bazaar cocktail. and it was phenomenal. Balanced heat, bold flavor, and the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-conversation just to appreciate how good it is. The service was warm and genuine, the drinks were creative, and the whole experience felt like a special night out without being pretentious. Wunderbar absolutely lives up to its name. If you're anywhere near Bellows Falls, do yourself a favor and go. This place is a vibe.

I first heard of Country Girl after watching Chronicle approx. 2 year ago. The whole experience was awesome! We ordered drinks immediately after taking our seats at the counter. I had a pepsi and I had to order a vanilla milk shake to go! My wife had water and coffee. We wanted to get our order in because we felt like the staff was nice enough to let us in that we didn't want to stall them from getting out at closing. My wife had grilled cheese with tomato soup. I had a burger with fries. My wife was thrilled with the soup. She said it was the best tomato soup she has had in a long time! My fries were excellent. home made and tasty! You can see in the pictures that the diner is set up with booths and a counter top. I am told that they are busy year round. I can see why because the food and service is fabulous. What you'd hope for in an updated rustic old Vermont building. 2. The service has been excellent on both visits, with the caveat that breakfast is busy and the food took a long time to arrive. 3. Breakfast was solid. Not transcendent but solid eggs and toast and home fries and coffee and everybody seemed happy. Room for improvement 1. For Putney Vermont - get some decent vegan and vegetarian options. 2. The veggie burger was bean based, mushie old-school 70's style. Fell apart as soon as you picked it up. 3. The cheeseburger was good. It's just that for $18 you could show a little more attention to detail. A greenish slice of winter tomato. A single leaf of iceberg lettuce. 2 ringlets off an onion slice. And no pickle. 4. The fries that came with it had to be sent back to be cooked longer. And there was a big puddle of oil on the plate once I slid the par-cooked fries onto a side dish. The server was lovely about it and they came back fast and cooked through. But my guess is the oil wasn't hot enough hence the grease puddle. 5. The chicken orzo soup was meh. I don't try it. Brought it home for sick family member. And sorry but my personal pet peeve - the pre-calculated tip options were 20,22,25% and all calculated on top of the sales tax. Understand that it has gotten VERY expensive to go out for a burger for your average local. So putting a little more attention into it would be greatly appreciated. All the best, and thank you.
