    a display of fresh bagels

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Disgusting. Not wearing any gloves to prepare food and took money minutes before. I asked the lady to put gloves on and she gave me a dirty look and whispered to the man working with her. The guy only put on one glove and continued to make the sandwiches with his bare hand. Watched the lady make tuna salad and she literally used a dirty bowl and just mixed mayo and tuna together, nice..... Overpriced and guy was creepy, kept making comments as to why we wouldn't eat there etc. "oh you don't like me...you don't want to stay?" Sandwiches also said $10.50 on the wall menu but when I asked the guy why he charged $11 for each his response was "the tax and I have too much change I don't need more". Never going back. Disappointed and a waste of $30 for two sandwiches and two coffees. Dear board of health, close this location...

Still a great bagel place! Grab some day old bagels when they have specials on them. Tip well, they work hard here!

Everything bagel with chive cream cheese

We stopped by while randomly in the area to run some errands. Very traditional shop, all the classic options. We got an everything bagel lightly toasted with chive cream cheese (bring on the bad breath). Oddly it wasn't cut in half. Schmear was a little on the light side but no naked spots. Nice size bagel, a little on the doughy side, but still tasty. The "bacon cream cheese" is plain cream cheese with fresh crumbled bacon on top. We got it on a toasted Asiago bagel and ya know what? I would do it again. It's a surprisingly delicious combo that I've never considered.

The everything bagel was everything! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich and couldn't have been happier after eating it. I would have liked more cheese throughout the sandwich. It felt like they only put cheese on one side of both the bagels I ordered. So might be something to look out for when you visit. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich if you're in the area. Really quick meal and is guaranteed to fill you up.

Super fresh bagels: everything, cinnamon raisin, egg, and plain.

Awful bagels. No flavor. NY Bagel factory down route 9W is so much better. Elie's bagged bagels at Stop & Shop are better too.

Naturally, because it was something new, we were a bit anxious about the experience. We weren't sure of all the moving pieces or how easy/difficult the process would be. When Ryan left on Saturday evening, our kitchen sparkling, it was like he had never even been there, except we were stuffed with incredibly delicious food. From my first contact with Ryan to the when he left my mom's house, it was all so easy. The menu was easy to decide on (Ryan has a huge selection of dishes he can put together). Ryan was easy going and guided us through each step. Ryan brings everything he needs, pots, pans, silverware, china, and food. He got to work right away, and when it came time to sit down, we were treated to an incredible feast. Every course (we had 5 courses) was delicious and elegant. We were served by Ryan's assistant. It was really like we were in a restaurant. I was eating with my back to the kitchen, and it was hard to even know he was there. He was efficient and didn't distract from our dinner (he was also willing to chat when we pulled him into the conversation.) If you are at all anxious about the process of having a chef cook dinner in your house, you shouldn't be if you pick Ryan. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Here's what we ate (If we could do it again, we'd eliminate one of the first three course... we. were. stuffed.): Hard Cider Pumpkin Bisque (a table favorite. Fall in a bowl) Wedge Salad (the dressing was dynamite) Scallops and risotto (Another hit. This is where we were feeling rather full). Filet OR herb encrusted chicken (maybe the best filet I've had in a long while. Just cooked perfectly.) Tangerine Creme Brulee (blow torch demo included!). If you're thinking about doing something romantic for a significant other or planning a larger dinner (we had 9 people), you should hire Ryan. You won't regret it and you'll impress everyone.

The braised short rib grilled cheese appetizers were nothing short of amazing and could have been a meal in themselves ... but we continued with fantastic corn chowder with crab, arugula salad with melon and pine nuts, and stuffed cod that melted in our mouths. Add in lava cakes ... and you have a meal that is totally over the top. But the best part of the night was Chef Ryan and his assistant Leslie - who cooked, served and cleaned up. As they left you would never have known anyone was in the kitchen !!! Simply amazing. If you want the luxury of have your own professional chef for an evening - call Chef Ryan - he's the best !
