The new principal, Mr. Rothwell, staff and teachers are dedicated caring passionate people. They do go the extra mile to foster a warm, loving, safe environment for the kids to grow, learn and develop in. We moved here and didn't know a lot about the schools. The guidance counselor, Mr. Hintz, warmly greeted us and gave us a tour and answered our questions when we were going through the school choice process. The enthusiasm around the school is contagious. Typically a word you don't want to hear about when it comes to schools. However you, your child, and your family are bound to catch it. Parents are friendly and welcoming, whether they are part of the PTO or just coming and going to and from the school. There is plenty of room with large play yards and play structures. Ample parking and a very safe drop off and pick up process. Pleasant street can be a bit busy so drive with care during school hours. Check in at the office and your bound to find more friendly faces willing to help you out. Ms. Silverman is incredible and keeps things pulled together and moving smoothly. If you need help or have questions the health educator, Ms. Kinsella, and nurse, Ms. Pratt, are also ready and willing to step in and put your child at ease. Mr. Wisneski is an outstanding person who does not only teach but brings fun, I mean fun, into the class every day. Every person I spoke to before the beginning of the year had so many wonderful things to say that it helped put my mind at ease. Given our short time at this school I don't know each and every teacher. However, they all work together for the kids and fold them all in. Everyone at Brophy has helped to make the transition smooth, fun, and easy. How can you not learn when you are having fun and excited to be there? So the down fall, if there is one, is the kids grow up and move on.

My kids can't pick a favorite teacher because they've loved them all. My kids have grown tremendously both socially and academically. We've made lasting friendships and the only thing I regret is that in a few years my kids will no longer be at Brophy --when they move on to middle school.

He was held in a room by teachers and interrogated after playing a game of cops and robbers on the playground with friends. They kept asking him " is there something going on at home"? Over and over and over . They wouldn't let him leave the room for over an hour. He eventually made something up to get out of there . They called DCF on us .( which was screened out since it was made up) He was 6 years old. They were all about the money. I will never forgive them for the damage they did to my son. If you want to deal with pompous staff in the office and wake up one morning to have DCF called on you for no reason , then this is the place for you!

Fuller Middle School is one of the three middle schools in Framingham. Walsh and Cameron are the…read moretwo others and all three move up and into Framingham High or you can select Keefe Tech. There are other private middle schools available and the McAuliffe Charter School as well. Fuller is a very big school since it once was a High School. That said, there is plenty of room for all of the students. They offer lots of activities including recreation, clubs, fitness, drama, music and so much more. They group the children by grades into colors and each team of colors has a team of teachers. So although the space seems large the students are usually in the same area for their classes. They have a 6 day rotating weekly schedule and a rotating daily schedule. It may seems confusing at first but the students do get use to it very quickly and move about the day and the week quite smoothly. This is a wonderful option since they won't have the same class each day at the same time. As we all know we can all be worn out at the end of the day so this rotation gives each class some morning and afternoon time. They offer French and Spanish for language and do some very cool projects (in all their classes). Many of the teachers have a variety of electronic resources to help teach the students during class and help you as a parent follow their work, projects, tests etc. Emailing the teachers, the guidance office, staff, and/or principal is helpful since it is a direct line for more info and/or clarification. The morning starts early since the buses transport all the kids in town so the HS students are first out, then the middle school, and lastly the elementary kids are dropped off. With Middle school out goes scheduled parent teacher conference. This can make it a bit tough when working schedules don't mess. If you want to meet with your child's team of teachers. There is no particular day or time so if you need or want to then call the office to set up an appointment. They will set up a time when the team is not in class to meet with you. School begins in August and ends mid to late June (depending on snow days) Don't buy any supplies as each student will be given a list of items to get in the first week (or so). They coordinate an orientation for new students coming from the elementary school and those going to either Keefe and/or Framingham High School. They are only offered at particular times of the year so if you happen to miss it you can all any of the schools for a tour and some information. Middle school can be a tough time for parents and students. We've had our ups and downs as do many parents with teens so be proactive and get involved with the school, class, with the teachers, staff, and find out how you can help and support your child as they transition into young adults.

Either they are super bright in math or need a little more time on reading, there is plenty of resources there to make learning a great experience. They do plenty of field trips and activities, get a great foundation in being good citizens. My kids now in middle school are kind leaders who can build efficient teams and rally good people around. Not only they learnt their curriculum at an advance level, but they mostly learnt to read people and make informative decisions about whom they want to be friends with and whom they do not. During the…read moreyears I attended and afterward I witnessed some blatant hypocrisy and violations of the school's stated philosophy, including by some of the most seasoned staff members. The claim is that decisions are to be made by the entire community via School Meeting, but the staff do in fact gatekeep and manage to exclude any ideas or proposals that they don't like without any discussion whatsoever. I personally have known quite a few people who were burned by the heavy-handed controlling efforts of certain staff members. Make no mistake: SVS is NOT a democratic school; it merely masquerades as one. If the founders don't like your idea (or don't like you), it won't be up for a vote; it'll be squashed preemptively. There isn't necessarily anything wrong with a school where students aren't in charge. But it shouldn't pretend to be what it's not.

Temple Israel is a liberal egalitarian conservative synagogue…read more As compared to other conservative synagogues, they tend to support Israel strongly, have Avot v'Emahot, and have a normal (not triennial) Torah reading. The clergy is very warm, and the members are very active. There is a very strong connection among the congregation and when we visited originally we found them to be very welcoming of strangers, as opposed to other synagogues I've been to where the people have been a bit more cliquey. There's a strong youth presence, which is fantastic. All in all, would recommend a visit if you're in the area and need someplace to go to shul.

As the director of Kiddie Academy…read moresince July of 2017, I have made it a point to get to know our parents and children and to always check in to make that they are happy and satisfied with the quality of care that their child is receiving . I am sorry that Bianca B did not approach me and let me know of her concerns. I take pride in knowing that my educators are engaged with the children throughout the day whether it be through academic centers or free play. I see children with happy faces engaging with their peers, I see educators interacting with the children, becoming excited as the children accomplish a new task, offering comfort and love when the children need that extra hug. Again, I apologize to Bianca B and I wish that she had approached me with her concerns. I most certainly would have addressed them. I have been working with children and parents since 1991 and I truly love what I do.
