Bagel with egg cheese and butter, toasted. I devoured the other half sorry

I love this place a lot. The guy is fast with great customer service, it's the perfect spot to grab a bagel sandwich before work. And it's one of those heavenly + affordable bagels where it has you questioning how he put so much love into it in the 1 minute it takes him to make it. Love it! :)

Ok, I walk past this café every single morning when I take my dog out. I knew it was a small place (mom & pop shops are the best!) but I didn't know it was family owned! Score! I was particularly hangry today and too impatient to order something delivery, so I took my dog downstairs for a quick walk and popped in next door. Honestly--the bulgogi plate is f'n delicious here!! You can tell this is a Korean-family owned cafe--they really put love into their food and presentation. I ate all the rice, daikon (daikon is my favorite.. raaaadish!) and salad first--I'm stuffed!! I also ordered spam musubi as a comfort food for me, and I am too full to eat it! Late night snack, it is! They also make boba tea, which I haven't had a chance to try yet (and which I'm glad for, since the institution of 85 Degrees across the way is closed, perhaps for good ). Finally, they have a slew of American menu items and pastries for the grab and go consumer (brekkie burritos, etc). So happy I finally tried this place, can't wait to try the spicy pork next!

Since I'm working from home during quarantine time and living in DTLA, I've been trying the places that open only during weekdays that I could never try before. This place is one of them. I always wanted to try but they're closed during weekends. Got a croissant sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. Also ordered white chocolate latte. They're big, filling, and delicious :) The staff was very friendly too. It's perfect for breakfast or lunch. I'd recommend both of what I had. It's a very tiny place with decent yummy food. And I'd like to support them especially during this time.

Cafe Dolcini is a small breakfast and lunch spot located in the heart of DTLA. The store is run by a really sweet Korean lady and frequented by many people that work in the nearby offices. The store itself is really small and only have 2 small tables on Grand Avenue to sit. I would say this is more of a grab and go place instead of dine-in sandwich store. The store itself is sandwiched between a printing store (at the corner of Grand x Wilshire) and Shoe Wiz/ Casey's. Great spot if you want to grab a bagel, sandwich, or a ricebox during lunchtime. One of my favorite items to order from Cafe Dolcini is their Curry Rice. Food is comforting and she usually give generous portions. I can easily split my order into two meals. Suggest bringing cash if you want to buy food here because she will charge you a service fee for using credit card. Try coming a few minutes before the peak lunch hours to beat the crowd.

I just inhaled half this sandwich then decided to leave a review lol. I'm obsessed with this cute little cafe right by my building! It gives NY vibes which I absolutely love being from NY :) great service and wonderful food and coffee! Will def be coming here 3+ times a week!

I find this cafe to be outstanding, with quality service everyday. I've been coming here every morning since working DTLA and I can say Chris is very professional and hard working each and every day. By the way there are two Starbucks locations within one mile from this cafe and I still prefer to come here than go to them. Like I mentioned the quality of food and coffee and specially the orange juice is better than it's competitors. Star

Cafe Dolcini is a super small shop on Grand Ave that you've probably passed a quarter million times to get to the better-known lunch spots in the area, but let me tell you, it is SO worth a visit. I've passed this place all the time walking from the US Bank tower to chipotle and have always just eyed the photos of Korean food they have posted on the windows. But today as I was walking to Chipotle, I stopped and figured why not and.. Why didn't I come visit earlier?!? A sandwich place at half the price of Mendocino Farms and Specialitys?! Delicious Korean food so close to work?! Although they are better known for their sandwiches and croissants, Cafe Dolcini also serves Spicy Pork, Beef Bulgogi, and Jap Chae with a side of rice and its SO worth it. I got the Spicy Pork with rice, allowed her to put some veggies and sriracha on it and then bam, one of the best lunches I've had in a while. A suitable portion size and just the right amount of spice. 10/10 would come back.

I came here for the poke stops :) Spicy pork with rice ($6.75): it was not good at all. The pork wasn't chewy and not tasty. Watermelon juice ($4.00): I was disappointed with this watermelon juice. Not good :( QUICK TIP: YOU CAN SIT HERE AND CLICK ON THE POKE STOPS!! 2 stars!! I really wanted to love this place :( Cafe Dolcini is not yummylicious!!

If your looking for someone who cares about the food they make for you, this is the place! It's fast, delicious, and for sure a place I will make regular stops to. Can't say enough good things. Susy is awesome! Come see her. She'll make your belly happy! Definitely coming back to this place when I'm back in downtown LA. 5/5!

Its a pretty casual spot where you order at a counter or kiosk and then pick up your food when its ready. As I no longer live in LA, I, of course, had to order like 4 bagels to try. We got the signature calic, elote calic, potato bacon calic, and the bacon scallion. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach and ultimately, I just wanted a taste of them all. Sadly, I found the bagels to be a bit lackluster for the price. The garlic flavor is prominent but, as with a lot of Korean foods, there was just too much sweet for my personal tastes. I should also just recognize that bagels aren't really my thing and despite it being appealing to look at, they didn't really hit home for me. They're quite pricey at close to $10 a bagel and while filling, don't seem to have much substance (its essentially a bagel and flavored cream cheese). Am I glad I came, sure, I got to try something new and didn't have to wait in ridiculously long lines but would I return? Unlikely but again, if you're into this kind of thing, its good.

Waiting for me. Waiting for us to get lunch at Belle's. Life was good. But what's even better than good? Great. Life was about to be great. 2. On the way in I saw a strange man outside wearing sunglasses. He looked at me. Friend or foe? I ran through a list of my options. Run. Stand my ground. Kiss. But then I realized I recognized him. This wasn't a stranger. This was a friend. 3. "Hey," I said. "Hey," he said back at me. Casey. We knew each other. I mentioned I was about to dine at Belle's and he immediately complimented the establishment. "Do you know who Harry Mack is?" I told him I didn't. "He's a freestyle rapper on tiktok. I saw him eating here once. I told him I like his videos when we were both in the bathroom." In the bathroom? Or in the line for the bathroom? I didn't follow up with any questions and left the conversation bewildered. 4. I sat down inside, waiting for Jess & Kora. We had eaten here together many times and this excited me. Nothing quite like eating lunch with your friends. The only thing better would be if you were getting massages from beautiful men and women. The thought brought a smile to my face. The kind of smile that hurts your cheeks so much that you wish pain was only temporary. 5. Jess showed up. Shortly after Kora did as well. The boys were back at it again. I looked around. I could tell everybody was aware of who we were and what we were doing. I even caught a stray look from a table of three men that was tinged with a tear. Jealous of the friendship we so effortlessly commanded. It was as if we were massaging each other's minds with our words. This is the kind of experience one can expect while in the presence of Zed C. from Yelp. The kind of experience you read online and think is fake but is actually realer than reality. The kind of experience that can only be contained with two slices of bagel. 6. From the jump, we were talking Area 51. The laughs were as plentiful as the refills on our cups of coffee (frequent!) But the happiness could only take us so far. It was only a matter of time until we began looking at the walls and the photos that covered them. Photos of people, of bagels, of everything that wasn't... us. There wasn't a photo on the wall of us. Zed C. from Yelp and Jess & Kora. I don't believe in divine justice, but we do what we can to form some level of fairness in a galaxy bent on chaos. Entropy consumes us all but... if Belle's could put a photograph of the three of us on their wall... maybe hope isn't just a false promise of what's to come. Maybe life could exceed great and become... excellent. The same tear I saw in the stranger's eye populated Jess' eye. Kora's eye. & mine as well. We shut our eyes and pretended that this moment never happened. The boys were back at it once again! 7. Our food arrived. I had ordered the ECA, the egg, cheese and avocado mash bagel. Everything. At home I only get plain because the seeds go everywhere making my kitchen into a literal hellscape. Here at Belle's? I indulge myself. So what if a seed doesn't land on the plate. They'll clean it up. They always do. It's why we keep coming back. That and the quality of the food. The ECA is encased in a god-tier bagel with the type of eggs that are so fluffy you could've sworn you bit into a cloud. Every bite is a reminder of the strength of modern civilization and the many sacrifices we make to be a part of something bigger (and tastier) than our own selves. 8. Eventually the conversation spilled over the edge and one of us waved a server down. One that we were friendly with. "How can we get our photo on the wall?" She wasn't receptive. But she offered a possibility... "We could put a mirror on the wall and you'd see yourself on the wall." Jess laughed loudly and as she left he told us, "She thinks we're stupid." & you know what? If she did we'd be okay with it. Because that's the type of guys we are. We roll with the punches and get down with the lunches. 9. I'd like to quickly respond to the review written by "S A." in which they said "This place is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY" because they were forced to wait in line like everybody else. Because of their "hungry kids" they wanted everybody else to get behind them. Sounds like your "family" isn't RESTAURANT FRIENDLY. Maybe it's about time you got in line and learned to respect the rules of the culinary tradition known as "waiting until it's your turn". 10. I left Belle's feeling better than I did when I walked in. I was refreshed, I was quenched. I patted my belly and let out a sigh. Life was great. It was all downhill from here. Then I turned around and looked at Belle's. A reminder of what was to come. The boys would be back at it once again. I smiled a final time. This time it was permanent. Too bad the bagel was about as average it was gonna get. $6.50 is way too much as well!

They have a handful of tables outside to dine there but many do take their order to-go. The surrounding neighborhood is so lucky to have this spot, I'm jealous. Need to come back soon! Kippered Salmon Bagel -opted for Jalapeño Cheddar bagel which was an additional $1 charge, worth. The crisp of the cheddar added just a touch of extra texture that I loved. Salmon was moist and flaky, almost buttery. Whitefish Bagel -tasted like cod, unsure but it was amazing. Everything Bagel paired well with this. Sooo good.

Maury was the next one on my list and I was left full and satisfied. Ambiance: The spot is not on a busy main street. Yes, sitting is limited but I don't mind waiting if food is good! It's so cute inside and you can just smell the bagels. Clean and subtle! Service: Very welcoming. Employees have great attitude. They were not in a rush and gave a warm feeling. Food: We got Triple Pickle with Lox! There was a good amount of lox, cream cheese, cucumber and pickles! The variety in bagels is great plus the freshness! We also got fresh OJ, and Vanilla Cold Brew with oat. Great pair with our bagels. Overall, this place is *chefs kiss*, we will definitely be returning.

In comparison to other bagel shops in LA, this spot falls right in the middle. Unfortunately, what…read morereally holds it back is the price point and the overwhelming hype--both from long lines and TikTok buzz--that doesn't quite match the experience. The scale tips more toward the downside when it comes to the bagels themselves. The toppings aren't particularly unique, or consistent, and the bagel had a noticeably firm texture that didn't stand out in a good way. What initially drew me in--and ultimately prompted this review, my first review--was the coffee. After trying 50+ coffee shops over the past 2 years alone, I can honestly say this was one of the more disappointing lattes I've had. I ordered a whole milk latte, and the best way to describe it is simply: watery. It wasn't milk-forward, not sweet, and surprisingly not even very coffee-forward. Instead, it had a slightly herbal, almost oily, burnt-bean flavor that felt diluted with water. I also ordered the carrot cake latte, which had the same base issue. The carrot cake foam helped mask it a bit, but it tasted more like a strong sugar cookie flavor than anything close to carrot cake. In the end, giving grace, perhaps it was just a "bad barista day". Overall, it's not terrible--but definitely not worth the hype or the price. *If visiting on the weekend arrive before 9:30 to beat the line if you dare.*
