Aside from the location and their signage in a plaza, this place is wonderful. Their latte's are perfection, topped with latte art as well. I ordered the special of the day omelette,which was delicious! And also took home a almond croissant, which had shaved pieces of almonds on top, and filled with almond sweet paste. Overall this cafe is perfect for quick devious bite to eat, or to indulge in their array of pastries. The only draw back is it's location. read more

My kids love the sweet crepes and my wife loves the savory crepes but the pastries and other goodies are excellent. I always feel happy when I enter and leave cafe dolce. The presentation of sweets and desserts in the glass case which is kept VERY clean makes my mouth water. Prices are definitely clear on the creative chalky menu above. There are specials at the ordering desk that are impossible to ignore, the barista in charge suggested to me a monkey bread that was to die for. I had that with a coffee I bought elsewhere, combining into a delectable small breakfast. The sugars in their sweets at this bakery tend to get me in a daze, so I visit sparingly. The staff are friendly, it is order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. 4 small tables and one large table with a bar table by the window. Very specific food options - ham, mushroom and cheese crepe was very good, also a few other crepe options, and a few panini options, as well as salads. This is an order off the menu, unable to "create your own"...but they know what they are doing! Pretty capuccinos and many fresh dessert options as well. My husband and I live locally and are regulars here simply because they make fantastic lattes and because they have almond milk. We don't drink cows milk and it can sometimes be a challenge to find almond milk at coffee shops...until now! I don't write a ton of reviews, but after an argument with a co-worker about how it was impossible to find a good cup of coffee in Norwalk, I found Cafe Dolce. 10 minutes later, I had a cup of their coffee, and the co-worker had a cappuccino. Needless to say, both were excellent, hence the five stars. Also, the service was phenomenal, two people who love coffee and pastries were ready to share both with the customer. We had to stop in after reading the rave review in the local Danbury paper. Wonderful pastries and the Cappucino I had was strong and had a creamy, deep espresso flavour that went well with my Boston creme croissant. Unusual and delicious! The pastry chef is a culinary award winner from Hungary, and it shows. I took home a many-layered "Dolce" cake for my birthday and it was the best cake I've had since moving to Connecticut. A local spot for me, I've been here many times. Not going to review any one time, just general thoughts. 1) Everything is delicious. Coffee is very smooth and tasty, and the pastries/cakes are always fantastic. The Esterhazy cake is a personal favorite of mine, but you really can't go wrong with anything here. 2) Ambiance is great. Not quite a hipster spot, but isolated enough to be peaceful. Free Wifi and decent seating space makes this a nice place to be productive (or a procrastinator...) on your laptop for a day. 3) Service has gotten a lot better over the past few months. It was always polite, but a bit inconsistent (i.e., forgetting an item) at first. They've upped their game here. 4) They have a great $13 platter of cookies that works perfectly for a holiday event or an office gift. I've bought about 6 of these in the past few months--always a hit. Overall, Cafe Dolce has clearly experienced a lot of success based on the weekend crowds growing rapidly, and it's all deserved. Excellent service and pastry. On New Years Day we decided that we should go out for a little treat. There is not that many places around so I tried Yelp and this place came up with quite a few good reviews. We gave it a ry and we did not regret it. The coffee was excellent and pastries amazing. The place is still trying to figure out what they want to be when they grow up so things may change, but at the moment you will find here besides coffee and pastries some breakfast and lunch items. I just had one of the best meals I've ever had in this little café I stumbled upon when looking for a rest stop off of the Merritt Parkway (2 minutes away). The fresh pesto was the best I've ever had even though I routinely make it myself. I shared a warmed spinach feta croissant with my husband and it was so good we had to jump up to tell the owner. The beautiful pastries in the case are irresistible. I had the chocolate cherry cake with rum - amazing. The staff was very helpful and extremely courteous.
