15/10 Experience at Café DeVille, Nipomo Wow. What a hidden gem! I tried the Chorizo & Goat Cheese Tacos -- honestly one of the best things I've eaten in years. From the first bite, I knew this place was special -- flavor, texture, everything on point. If I could rate it higher than 10, I'd give it a solid 15. The owners and their team are some of the kindest, most genuine people I've met. They make you feel at home the moment you walk in. The atmosphere, the beer selection, the vibe -- everything here is just perfect. I'm leaving Café DeVille not just full, but happy. I fell in love with Nipomo today because of this place.

    Pastrami

My husband and I tried the vegetarian and TriTip tacos and the pastrami sandwich. The tacos were pretty good. The Pastrami sandwich was excellent. Meat was tender and flavorful. Service was excellent. Everyone we talk to was helpful. The place was small but they have outside eating as well. They were consistently busy but still excellent food and service.

Cafe DeVille is a local joint where you will find amazing food, rotating beer taps, and a smile on the staffs face. You know right when you walk in and they treat you like family. The constant rotating beer taps are refreshing to someone who comes often, as my wife and I have tried beers we would have never gravitated toward in the past. We have tried a good majority of the menu over the last couples months we have frequented this establishment. From salads to wraps, burgers and steak bites, and the crème de la creme, the pastrami sandwich! You cannot go wrong with anything you pick. The three large tv screens behind the bar make it a sweet, never too crowded watering hole. Don't be afraid to ask Ben to change the channel if there is a major sporting event you want to tune into. We look forward to many more great date nights and outings at Cafe DeVille.

Did a walk-through...this is a gorgeous place. Can't wait to try the food in the local craft beers. Beautiful, gorgeous, patio and backyard has a very chill local vibe about it.

Great food, unique menu, and awesome small town atmosphere. Come check this place out and share in supporting a local business.

    Amazing turkey sandwich-must get

I've been here once before today and they have great food and a fun environment! It's nice they have outdoor patio seating available. Today we got food to go and actually started eating it right away in the car. My only complaint is that my sandwich was slightly cold when I've had it once before and it came out hot previously. I am not someone to order a turkey sandwich at a restaurant but it's SO GOOD here. 10/10. The bread is buttery and toasted and there's cheddar cheese melted onto it and crispy. It's so so good and their onion rings are top notch too. Definitely recommend coming here just to try the turkey sandwich alone.

Owner created this arrangement for me from her cute little flower bar out back.

Service is great and we love this place. We would be here a lot more as we live less than1m away, if it were not for the god awful 'country music'. Please just shut it off. Your chef clearly has attention to detail and is a prodigy. We loved the tortillas and butter you previously served, but the freshly fried tortilla chips, fresh homemade salsa and sauces were delightful and a much appreciated prelude to our lovely meal. We love the speakeasy. The bartender is absolutely wonderful. Best cocktails I've ever had. I would argue he is the best in the county. Frankly I love to just request 'dealers choice' and he makes the most amazing drinks I've ever had. Fun way to spend a weekend evening. Can I please just say one more time, get rid of this horrific noise. We love the DJ in the speakeasy! So cool, and great music in there. Even if we are not completely vibing with it, it's curated and inoffensive. Can I say, what a joy to have Beso in our neighborhood. We love this place (just NOT this 'music'). We come in for breakfast/brunch or dinner and the music is so annoying/uncomfortable/noxious, that we leave before ordering desert, etc. would hang out longer, would be in more frequently if not for that one big adversity. It takes a month or more to extinct the unpleasantness of the 'music' , we come in and there it is, all over again and we are reminded of why we don't visit more. Please fix this!!

The menu now includes only a few generic Mexican dishes and a single Margarita, apparently to keep folks like us from just turning around and going home (I was very tempted). They don't even have anything like the broad beer selection like that at the Arroyo Grande Blast & Brew, which has many of their own very good brews. We got the Chile Verde nachos, but it was tough to find much Chile Verde. They nicely split the order into two plates without our asking, apparently because we indicated that we would be sharing and charged $5 for that useless "improvement". Adding two tiny containers of dipping sauces for the Truffle Fries added $1.50 each (no one mentioned that they were "extra"). We don't care about the added cost, but this seems like a sleazy attempt to squeeze as much revenue as possible from patrons. We certainly will never go back.

I love coming here whenever I get the chance--the ambiance and atmosphere make it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is excellent. Their take on pho soup is especially well executed and has quickly become one of my favorite dishes. The flavors are balanced and authentic, and you can really tell the care that goes into preparing it. Coming from Los Angeles, where great pho is easy to find, it's refreshing to be able to enjoy a bowl on the Central Coast that's made properly and with such attention to flavor. Because of that experience, I was excited to become a regular customer. Unfortunately, my second visit completely changed my opinion. I placed a takeout order for four dishes (around $100) and requested some sauces and plastic utensils with my order. When I arrived, I gave my name and was told my order was ready. I then politely asked for the utensils and sauces I had requested, and the employee helping me immediately responded with an attitude. Despite ordering multiple entrees, I was given just one packet of sriracha and one packet of hoisin sauce. When I asked for enough sauces and utensils for the meal, it became clear that this was somehow an issue. To make matters worse, after I had already given my name, I was asked to produce my receipt, and the interaction became increasingly hostile. As someone who has spent years working in hospitality, I understand that great service is what turns first-time guests into loyal customers. We were friendly, tipped well on our first visit, and came back because we genuinely enjoyed the food. I expected the same level of hospitality in return. And the gentlemen who helped us the first time Told me his family was in the business for years in socal and he should be the only person interacting with guests. The food is genuinely very good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the rude and confrontational customer service completely overshadowed the quality of the meal. Imagine getting upset your customers want utensils and sauce after spending $100. What an absolute gut punch. Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. I won't be returning. If customer service matters to you, I'd think twice before ordering take out from here.

We watched her make & serve drinks with lighting speed, even serving food as well. This lady needs a raise! Second, the food was delicious, perhaps the best ribeye I have ever had in my 51 years. My wife and I shared a 16 oz spencer steak with baked potato, and chicken with ravioli and fries. They came with beans, side salad with the best ranch dressing ever! Of course, we could not come close to finishing all the food and had to ask for our included ice cream to go. Lucky, we had a room in Santa Maria with a big fridge and freezer. After our vodka soda and food coma wore off, we enjoyed our malted crunch ice cream in our room and finished our meal the next day. The smokey flavor of the steak and chicken was amazing. We will be going back very soon. Truth be told, I am getting hungry just writing this review.

Danny never came by for drink refills and I never received the glass of red wine I'd ordered with my steak. . That said, the giant $58 NY Steak was amazing! They did not taste house made. And, the full-rack of pork spareribs for $47 were very chewy and dry. The ribs did not come with any sauce and it took ages to flag down our server to get some. We decided to simply take most of it home to re-cook :-( . After we'd finished eating, we sat around with 1/2 eaten plates (and a pile of uneaten ribs) for the better part of 30 more minutes with zero service or follow-up. And by that time (two hours later), it was not busy and we really needed to head home. Gosh, did he go on break or something? When Danny finally arrived, we had to then ask for boxes and the bill. . The mediocre food, plus the forgetful service definitely put a damper on our family gathering. For a nearly $300 tab, the service really should have been better.
