My favorite place in the whole county! It's a hidden treasure in Nipomo where you feel like family the moment you arrive. I love the owners and the local support they show Nipomo Cheer and local Girl Scouts! Always have the best food trucks every week! We are so lucky to have this amazing nursery and brewery mashed into one epic venue!

Gorgeous landscaped nursery with a curated selection of draft beer, plus bottle and cans and wine/seltzer/hard kombucha. Lovely owner / Nipomo native Howdy happy to chat from behind the bar. This place is magical. Catering going on Fri-Sun, some weekdays, too. Check the FB for food options. Can't wait to come back to this secret (beer) garden.

I came across this through Yelp when I searched beer gardens and I'm so glad I did. The garden can be an event venue, but it is also a plant nursery. You wonder around the property and there is a lot of seating. They bring in food venders on the weekends. I would definitely come back again to have a beer and relax.

Howdy! No literally that is the owners name (not making fun of it by any means). He is one of the nicest, most hospitable owners/host ever. Super engaging, remembers your name, and always has a smile. Driving down old town Nipomo, you would never imagine this beer garden exists. You walk in and immediately transformed into another world. Being a former (maybe still is) nursery, it's is teeming with plants and trees. Mixed with delicious beer on tap it is a like a dream. One of the true gems of Nipomo and I hope everyone tries this place out. You will see what I mean

Everything was amazing and Lauren did a great job making sure that everything went well beforehand and on the day of our wedding! The food was especially great, but everything else was fantastic, too, especially how considerately we were treated in terms of timing! We want to emphasize how happy and satisfied we were from initially contacting Birchwood and speaking with Lauren, how amazing it was to work with someone so talented, in a place so beautiful, where everything was flexible and happened how we wanted it. For both of us, our favorite day ever was enhanced by the wonderfulness of Birchwood and its lovely employees / managers. We definitely recommend it to everyone!

I was so very lucky to be able to marry the love of my life at Birchwood Garden Barn & Home, on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018. This place is magical and so perfect for any occasion, especially a wedding/reception venue. Don't think twice about booking; make an appointment and work with the great team at Birchwood. They have loads of services to choose from other than a wedding/reception venue (floral, catering, alcoholic beverages for events, and more)! For our wedding ceremony and reception, both held at Birchwood, we asked for all floral work to be done by the florist offered through Birchwood; we had the appetizers (linguica and a large charcuterie board for 100 guests) cooked, prepared, and displayed through Birchwood team, as well as dinner Santa Maria Style BBQ with all the fixings and sides done by Birchwood; and we had guests amenities provided through Birchwood as well. Made for a perfect event. My husband and I could not have asked for anything better than Birchwood.

Please grab your friends and bring them here! I want this place to thrive so it will be here for awhile. It's a lovely family-run place with inviting people, a cute beer garden (with a great local selection) and little seating nooks all over the place. Also dog friendly. They will host smaller gatherings of up to 50 people. Come here!

Great atmosphere. Great beers. Plenty of parking. Convenient location. The events on the weekends are great with food and artisanal crafts.

Who knew....a Bonsai Nursery in NIPOMO, CA! Today's…read moreadventure took us, hunting for a "requested" daughters Birthday gift to Muranaka Bonsai Nursery on Pajaro Lane in Nipomo. At present, the Nursery is run by a single Proprietor...a Bonsai "MASTER", George. We arrived to be promptly and warmly greeted by George himself (call before you go), who took us into the Nursery on a "guided tour". Fascinating! The depth of Bonsai (Bonsai means tree in a pot..., but without a specific style, it is not a Bonsai.) knowledge was apparent...obviously, this "Grasshopper" had a lot to learn. We viewed so many Bonsai's...Atlantic Cedar, San Jose Juniper, Japanese Black Pine, a Japanese Maple Stand, Jade tree(s), a Windswept Prostrata Juniper, Boxwood, Cork Elm , Chinese Elm and several Correa Pulchella(s) (Pink Australian Fuchsia), just to name a few. The prices here seemed very reasonable...and after approximately an hour and a half of "learning" about Bonsai, we were ready to make our decision. The final decision/pick...wait for it....was a flowering Correa. George, the "Bonsai Master", will take two days to make the preparation (transplanting the Correa into an oval pot, final trimming, and giving our Daughter's Present his professional Bonsai Juju) before we pick it up. Nice! Talk about "Out of the box" Customer Service George, thank-you! If you're thinking about Bonsai, I suggest you have a visit and take a look...because today, in this Yelper's opinion Muranaka Bonsai Nursery (George) truly earned this "highly recommend" 5 Star review! BONSAI, my Yelper Friends!!!
