Cute little nursery in the outskirts of Arroyo Grande. They have a lot of smaller succulents and plants that aren't fully grown, so good if you are just starting out with gardening. It is quite small so don't expect anything crazy but it has a decent variety of plants and flowers and such. They are also very dog friendly which is always great! read more

We dropped into "Ron's". . . . just at closing time, but he graciously let us in, and gave us plenty of time, to look for a birthday gift for our daughter in law. We met his two friendly felines, and he took time to share some very interesting stories about local history of the Halcyon area, the temple, and Ron's own family! We found a deliciously scented candle, had it gift wrapped, and Ron even 'gifted' me with a book on the Halcyon Temple! What a wonderful experience!! read more

Ron's is one of the best gems in all of SLO county. A little out of the way, next to the Halcyon Community, it's worth the visit. More than a nursery, he has a wonderful collection of ceramics and other forms of art. Every year (Christmas and Mother's day) we buy one (one for each holiday, 2 total) of Lori's (Lauri's???) ceramic hydrangeas. Wonderful ceramic sculpures...reasonably priced. read more

This shop has a small selection of drought scape plants some dry pots some glazed. Plush of the garden variety ;) some sort of bath goods I assume hand made (shrug) some gift cards.. not much else that I could see. A lot of succulents. If that is what you're looking for this place is great! Unfortunately I went in thinking maybe I could find some small starter plants in the food variety or some seed packs. The woman that I spoke with was very helpful in suggesting a store that might carry seeds nearby.. so I'll go ahead and thrown in another star for that, but there just wasn't anything for me here today. We scooted down to Ron's for our afternoon plant and pottery adventure! The afternoon was threatening rain in a good way, so it was dark and stormy. Ample parking on the street right in front of the shop, so I hopped into the store, and gazed at the nostaligic and romantic displays inside on my way to the trove of succulents in the back outside area. Lovely displays in the outside garden caught my attention and ramped up my creative spirit. The mix of color was enlivening, and the ocean air calming, a nice mix. Lots of inspiration here in the large displays with live plants to provide the materials. I particularly liked the way that the succulents were arranged by color and kind, so that I could chose colors by nuance and form. I also liked the matte-glazed pottery vases of Charles Varni, which seem the perfect complement to the subtler colors of some of the succulents. I chose three new shades for my ever growing collection, and headed in to check out. Service was prompt and friendly, and my three small plants were artfully arranged in a sturdy cardboard box for the journey home. read more

Just got back from visiting this shop and it's extremely cute! I do enjoy all the plant displays and the wide variety of succulents in the outdoor back area. I ended up getting a small peperomia piccolo banda and it was under $10 bucks. It was the last one under a table but still in good shape. Some plants were overpriced compared to big box shops while the Hoya publicalyx was a great deal and more rare to find. They had a big string of pearls that was healthy for a good deal as well. There is an older lady that helped and without a mask so just be forewarned. We wore a mask while shopping but to those who are extremely weary, just prepare yourselves for an un-masked employee. I'm sure she might have a reason as to why she isn't wearing one but hopefully she is safe. The street parking was plenty! read more

The garden is small but with lots of succulents and unique plants for potting. The artistic talents of the owners are on display outside as well as in their shop inside.
