We had the breakfast here before touring La Pedrera. Friendly service and delicious food.

The drink (pictured) was alright, service was alright, cool surroundings, needs more indoor lighting.

    Cortado, very nice.

Tapas and coffee are part of the reason here but to look at Gaudi's architecture is an important one. Like the huge window overlooking the main streets, big greenery. Worth a few hours here. Uniqueness: 10/10 Food & coffee: 8/10 Value: 10/10

Cafe de La Pedrera is an elegant dining location within Casa Mila, and its ceiling shares the exterior's wavy designs inspired by the sea. We arrived early for our evening tour of Gaudi's impressive architecture and gladly found its cafe to be mostly unoccupied, clean and quiet. This was quite rare for us in Barcelona. Our supper course was delicate, though not spectacular, and white wine paired well with the food. The mussels were neatly plated on pebbles, the smoked salmon crackers were nicely flavoured, and the soup was creamy but not overfilling. Service was courteous and quick to present our meal. We enjoyed the ambience (and free wifi) prior to visiting the rest of Casa Mila. After the tour, we sipped champagne before leaving to end a nice evening.

Standard breakfast food. Great place to grab a bite to eat and do some people watching while you have a cappuccino.

I came in late night and was seated right away. I ordered the chef's special which was six tapas paired with a glass of house red or white wine. I wasn't told which tapas were which, but all tasted amazing except for the pizza. I ended up getting a glass of the white and ordered a cosmo. My drink was deliciously made. Food came out quick and service was also quick and adequate. I enjoyed the restaurant itself, it brings a very fancy vibe and the prices were reasonable.

Great cafe in front of La Pedrera with free WiFi and a great place to get a coffee, drinks or something to eat before or after your visit. Servers were very nice and efficient. Great place to also people watch, day or night. The street cafés are a great place to really get the feel of the hustle and bustle of this awesome city.

Great cafe in the ground level of a Gaudi apartment building. My husband ordered the vermut tinto & it was citrusy & delicious. It came with two orange slices. I had a glass of Relitividad red wine as he perfect warming accent to the chilly weather settling in. We sat outside & ate patatas braves & watched people walk by. A little expensive, but only relatively compared to the best of the city. Probably because it's in a Gaudi building.

in the historic center of the citadel of barcelona is this curious restaurant where we find excellent service and delicious dishes typical of the Catalan area dans le centre historique de la citadelle de Barcelone se trouve ce curieux restaurant où l'on trouve un excellent service et de délicieux plats typiques de la région catalane. , ,

The only reason why I'm giving this a 3 instead of a five was because of the service. Our waiter wasn't really attentive or nice to us. Forgot to bring one of our desserts and rarely came to our table we had to look for him. We went while we waited to go in La pedrera had dessert which was awesome! And their drinks are good too!

Waiting for entering Casa Battlo, and decided to have a drink at Cafe de la Perera if I can taste a bit of Gaudi's wonderful output of Casa Mila. Well, home-made lemonaid and custard are ok, but not particular. Interior of the cafe is not much to see. Waivy ceiling looks interesting and it's enjoyable and resting to sit for a moment, but not much to see the great architect's genious work.. I might've expected too much from this cafe to taste Casa Mila. In order to see Gaudi's work, it's better to pay entrance fee to go in the real building not a cafe..?

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

We were treated like locals with a warm welcome. Tables outside on the patio as well as cozy indoor seating. The house made lemon cello was a finishing treat.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

The service was very attentive, and our waiter, a fellow Ecuadorian...was very professional and friendly. We ordered staple tapas and dessert, and the food was very delicious. I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
