I'm so lucky to have such a consistently awesome cafe near me. I've been enjoying cafe creme for my whole life, and it has never disappointed. They make a mean latte, their pastries are awesome, but my favorite part is their 'bring your own cup' policy. If you bring a reusable mug or cup, you can fill your cup with hot coffee for the price of a small coffee. This is awesome as a regular, because I pay very little for a high quality coffee. They also have coffee cards, which is a cool points system they use for regulars. Buy 6 coffees, your next is free. During finals in high school, this was my place to study. Staff is always super kind. I popped in the other day and got a cinnamon roll and a chai latte (both of which I highly recommend). They are popular with the tourists and do get pretty busy so if that stresses you out, plan to go at an off time. read more

Stopped here today after trying to find a quick stop for a Togo breakfast and coffee while road tripping from Wiscasset ME back to Boston MA. So glad we did! We got the two stuffed croissants one with Canadian bacon cheese and egg and mine with egg chive and sharp cheddar, SOOOO GOOD!!! The lattes (which we got iced) were also fabulous (mocha and a flip flop)! Highly recommend this place and we'll stop here again on our next road trip! My go-to coffee shop and baked goods spot in Bath. There's an array of coffee options between dark roast, light roast, flavored, and decaf. Great cafe with a Hugh selection of smoothies and coffee drinks. Have not yet added cold brew, but the iced coffee was yummy. Small but good selections for lunch. I had the fresh plate with great humus and chutney with cheese, bread and tomatoes/greens. Very fresh and tasty! Friends ordered panini sandwiches and they had gluten free bread! Also nice selection of pastries - sweet, savory and gluten free. One comment for the owners consideration would be to offer children's sizes drinks. Had a young mom with a child struggling to serve his smoothly as way too big for a small child. Nice table service and help too!! read more

Cute place, cozy decor, and an important anchor business in adorable Bath. Coffee is ok. I'd personally appreciate it if they stayed open later then 5:30 (I'm hoping the owners read this)...maybe like 7? Basically my second home. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even when it's crazy busy. Finding seating can be difficult on weekends, especially during the summer. The coffee is great and the baked goods are delicious. The stuffed croissants are a personal favorite. Prices have gone up a bit recently, but the quality of the food, coffee and experience is worth it. Also, all of their cups, straws, napkins, etc. are compostable. Definitely a small business worth supporting. read more

I had their vegan meatloaf sandwich today. It came with a simply dressed salad. Both were so good and the sandwich had this delicious mango chipotle catsup on it. They also have good coffee and smoothies. There are some lovely cakes and pastries available, too. This is a great place to grab a coffee and read a book or type up your homework, although sometimes it can get crowded. It is pretty popular after all. read more

When someone puts a sign out on the door outside that says, "Hey, we have X!" you go in, you sit down, and you have your X. It is pretty standard quality X. The next day, the quality of the X is the same, but you can't get it at certain times of the day, but that's weird, because it's not like the X would ever run out at an establishment like this one. So you inquire about the problems with the availability of X, and they say, "I'm sorry, but X is the least of my worries right now, they have X down the street." At that point in time, how valued do you feel as a customer? Probably not too valued. So you analyze the problem with their X, give them the answer, and they tell you how it's been such a problem with you complaining about the availability of the X all week, and we'll gladly refund you the Y you just bought if you would politely get out of their hair and go down the street for some X. Seriously? And to top it all off, as you're leaving, you start having a conversation with one of the other patrons about the availability of the X, how you pinpointed the problem with the X and found the solution. This patron gets literally gets out of her chair and gazes at you lovingly while she tells you how she loves the place, but she's had so many problems with the X over the last two years. She's been so frustrated and has complained herself. You tell her that the owner of the place was kind of rude to you that day. From behind the counter, another worker tells you to take the conversation that you are having outside. You are appropriately flabbergasted. How can people be so bad at customer service? Three of the employees in this place, I love to death. They're some of the nicest, most genuine people that have ever waited on me. They must have received their training from a different cafe. read more

Good coffee and great food. They have hand-pies and croissant sandwiches - selection varies but go early if you want a choice. Also very yummy quiche with a side of good tomatoes - tasted fresh from the garden. Be careful with the heavy front door when you go in - it tends to slam shut. This is probably my favorite Cafe ever. My husband comes here when he wants to work but can't concentrate at home, i always order the Go Green kale smoothie... I know, sounds gross but genuinely delicious and their stuffed croissants.... Jesus they're delicious. I can't resist them when they have them. Just a great local Cafe overall. Really liked this place! Waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating, and atmosphere was relaxed and a great place to hide from the downpour of rain! The cinnamon bun was literally heavenly, and the ice latte was incredible. Would highly recommend-- wish I had one near where I lived! read more

Though Cafe Creme was the only specialty coffee shop I could find in Bath, my latte was delicious. I visited at a busy hour, but my drink came out quickly. Next time, I'll try some of the baked goods or one of the multitude of available smoothies. The environment is great for a conversation with a friend or a quick read through the Times. read more

Mixed feelings about this cozy spot. Great atmosphere and friendly service, but lattes needs some work. Had good bakery item but a latte that was so thin and watery that I asked the barista if he put water in it as it tasted watery. He apologized but did not offer a replacement. I have had their mocha latte which was good and didn't seem watery I'm not sure about this one. Would've been great customer service to have been offered a replacement. read more

3 inches of snow last night so this monring - sunday - I find myself here - defrosting, enjoying the warm brew and good company. Always interesting people here - and good to eat treats. This place reminds me of one of my junior high report cards, "has lots of potential, just doesn't apply itself". There's better coffee to be had if they were diligent enough to look for it & better drinks to be made if they invested more in training. The atmosphere is nice but the set-up leaves much to be desired. The drip coffee is ok but depending on the time of day you go it can be stale, I've had cups that tasted 2+ hours old. Cafe Creme is definitely ideal for anyone looking for a spot with wi-fi where they can sip their latte and surf the internet. They're usually quite busy, and the place fills up fast because it's not too big. I love their iced chai and Mocha Frenzy drinks in the summer, and I like to stop in for an Almond Joy Latte in the winter. The one thing that sometimes gets to me is how slow the service can be. However, the owner and most of the staff members are absolute dears and are very helpful and efficient. But it's happened more than once that I've had to wait 10 minutes for a drink, with no people in front of me. read more
