Stumbled across this restaurant and thought it looked super cute. Decided to come on a Sunday around 9:45am. Researched their website before coming and saw it said "call to make reservations" so I called and was told they do not accept reservations and it's first come first serve. I was a little confused by that but luckily it wasn't busy when we arrived. The place was smaller on the inside than I anticipated but I loved the warm decor and atmosphere. We both had water to drink. They only serve bottled water. I ordered the veggie omelet with egg whites only and was told that can't do that so I assume it's pre-made. It was still delicious. My husband had the breakfast wrap and we split an order of the crepes. Everything was very flavorful and tasted delicious. Definitely 5 stars for food alone. Would definitely love to come back and try more dishes and the desserts looked amazing. read more

We came here a month ago and can not recall all of the dishes we had but here we go. This was my first outdoor experience since social distancing began. We arrived shortly after they opened. The restaurant is very cute and nicely decorated with all sorts. We waited about 10ish minutes- they were already busy. So our table is ready and we were seated next to a party of 4. I was really uncomfortable so we requested to be seated at a table of our requested and they kindly accepted. The waitress let us know since we were seating under a tree we might have insects which we didn't mind. I didn't feel like social distancing was a thing here but they had fans on so I suppose that works out. I really liked their Turkish coffee that I ordered two of them. Their lemonade was okay. I do not remember which savory crepe we ordered but it was alright. I had the Đevrek - beef although I really wish I ordered the ham. It was way too oily for me. Our favorite was the Uštipci the dish paired so well with feta cheese and honey in one Bite - mmmm!! We ordered another dish not pictured and cannot recall the name. We came here on a weekend for lunch and this place was pretty packed. The ambiance is cool; I've never eaten at a Turkish restaurant before. We got the Turkish coffee. Definitely get it just for the unique experience. The coffee was pretty good too. For entrees, we got the fried goat cheese, chicken avocado panini, and the beef devrek. Stumbled upon this unique place after seeing beautiful photos and ratings on Yelp while looking for a place to grab a late breakfast. So glad we checked it out! The waitress asked us if we wanted to sit outside, and of course we did, she led us down the alley of the restaurant to the back where we were amazed at the beautifully decorated outdoor seating areas. Way better than the photos I saw! I knew we were gonna have a great experience. I wish I tried something a little authentic to Turkey but I had French toast on my mind when I began my search for a restaurant. The waiter was very cool explaining some of their most popular dishes and even how to pour the coffee properly. Turkish coffee comes delivered so cool with all the decorated plates and cups. My wife had a panini and a very rich piece of cake (Monte Torta). All delicious! We'll be back, and next time will try something more authentically Turkish. read more

Vibes are immaculate! We went on a Friday night so it was definitely busy and tight. But I'm sure on a less busy day, it would be perfect. Ordered the Turkish coffee which tasted great and was presented beautifully with the traditional dish-ware. Spinach and cheese burek was absolutely delicious and I will be going back for it! I also ordered the Monte Torta-personally not my cup of tea, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be dry. But my friends ordered the Banana Torta and Vocna Torta which they enjoyed! Had a little laugh with someone who seemed like the owner so that was a pleasant interaction! I hope to come back on one of their lighter days and really get to enjoy the aura of the space. Arrived at this cafe, for breakfast, at 10:30ish, on Saturday. Do yourself a favor and arrive much sooner, because it was crowded. That alone, says a lot about this eatery. We waited for about 20 minutes and were escorted to the rear enclosed patio. The patio is nicely decorated, had heaters running across the ceiling, and the tables are all wooden/rustic. One thing that I noticed was, that our server had an electronic tablet. I think that is very nice and we didn't have any issues with any of our orders. One thing that I highly enjoyed was the menu. The menu cover is very nice and...... here's the kicker..... each item came with a photo of how it will be presented. We thoroughly enjoyed the Turkish music, playing in the background, and it added to the entire experience. Every item that we ordered was on point. The Turkish coffee was very good and the presentation was beyond amazing, as you will see in the pictures. The latte was served at a comfortable temperature and well presented. The Greek omelet was ohhhhhh, so good, and I enjoyed every bite. The waffle order was accompanied with prosciutto, which was fresh, plus two sunny side up eggs. Even the facade of this cafe is nicely decorated. From start to finish, you will enjoy Cafe Bubamara (this translates to Ladybug, as you will see throughout the restaurant). The sugar packets have ladybugs and even the pen, to sign your bill, is decorated with a ladybug! It doesn't get better than that. I've updated my review to a solid 4 stars. The burek was fresh and tasty. We got a cheese and a steak one too. The flaky crust encases well seasoned minced meat and the cheese is fresh and plays well with the dough. Their version of French toast was great. I'm not big on sweets for breakfast and this was not as cloyingly sweet as many French toasts usually are. Explore the menu and you will land on some great finds. I will most certainly be back. Stopped by for brunch on my day off. This is a cute cafe and unfortunately the back room was packed so we only saw the front room. They also seem to have a nice outdoor area on the side for warmer days. We ordered the Turkish coffee, iced coffee, banana strawberry and Nutella crepes, the flaky meat pastry I forget the name of, and a steak sandwich. I thought everything was fresh and tasted pretty good. My boyfriend didn't really like his sandwich because he thought it was going to be a more solid chunk of steak instead of the more ground meat it actually had in it but I thought it was okay. Overall the food didn't stand out too much but everything was enjoyable to me and clearly used quality ingredients and was made with effort. We had to wait quite a while for our food to come out while other people who came after us seem to have gotten theirs right away. I'm not sure if it's because of what we ordered but they couldn't have forgotten about us because we were sitting right by the register lol. Tried uštipci for the first time and fell in love. So light and airy, and served with feta cheese and honey. The feta cheese was fresh and delicious. Ordered the spinach & cheese burek, which was perfectly flaky and soft in the center. The decor is cute, especially outdoors. However, the space inside is very tight and the tables are very close together. I had to move my chair in multiple times just for the server to get past me to help the tables next to us. With that being said, it gets very loud and becomes a struggle to hear your own conversation. I wasn't really sure who my actual server was, as a rotation of about 3 people continually came around asking if we needed something else. I came with a friend and we wanted to split the bill, only to be told that they can only split the bill on 2 different cards if we spent over $100. I've never heard that at any other establishment I've ever been to. Not sure if that was their way of trying to get us to spend more money. Tiktok brought us here! My family and I were in search of a nice brunch spot in North Jersey, and this seemed like the perfect place. With its cute decor both indoors and outdoors, it attracts both small and large groups of people seeking to get that one Instagram-worthy shot. We arrived at around 11am on Saturday and there was plenty of indoor seating, but by the time it became 12-1pm, we noticed it did get crowded. People were even waiting on line to sit outdoors in the patio. The lattes can taste a bit too milky so opt for the American coffee if you like your coffee dark and strong. We ordered the mini burek with spinach, chicken with mushroom sauce, the 3 spicy sausage breakfast spread and the famed Ustipci. Ustipci are essentially thin, hollow fried dough that you eat with feta and honey. It is SO good and definitely a must-order when visiting the cafe. The mini-burek was also really good. Most of the food was a bit too salty for our tastebud, but I think next time we could balance it out by ordering more salad and less foods that include the feta (which is normally very salty). It's unfortunate we didn't get to try any of their desserts and cakes but maybe we'll save that for our next visit. Cons: -Street parking only & spots don't really open up. Municipal parking behind the restaurant is only for local residents with the municipal permit. Be ready to park a few blocks down and walk over. Really loved this cafe from my first visit. What a cute and quaint Turkish Cafe offering a delicious brunch selection. The Börek and Ustipci were so good, fruit yogurt fresh, omelets, crepes, sandwiches,, salads and everything else yummy as welll. The restaurant consists of some indoor tables and a back outdoor space but covered. Vibe is better outdoors if seats are available. I am already planning a return with friends. The only thing I will say negative about this place is overpriced dessert section otherwise amazing. Plenty of space to sit down and a whole reading section. Can even drop your kids off at the playground for 2-3 hrs while you enjoy your coffee. We got tea and a slice or orange cake. The cake was 8$ for one slice. Wasn't worth it. The tea was ok. What an awesome change from my usual brunch menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. I especially liked the burek for my first time ever. You ask, "What the heck is burek?" Burek is a specialty of Turkish cuisine. It is a pie made of finely chopped or minced meat or other filling rolled into a thin stretched layer of dough. It comes with a choice of several different fillings. We ordered meat burek, spinach and feta cheese burek and the pizza burek. ALL are delicious! The kids got the french toast with fresh fruit and the waffles with nutella and fresh fruit. Both of which were giant portions served with an abundant amount of mixed fresh fruit. Neither were served with syrup but when the kids requested syrup they were provided honey. The waffle and french toast was so sweet the adults enjoyed the kids leftovers as a dessert with turkish cafe. There are tables and chairs in front of the restaurant with people smoking and drinking coffee. I believe they have a backyard dining area during the warmer weather. They have 2 small indoor dining areas. The tables are very close to each other. So close that if someone has to use the bathroom several people will have to get up to let that person out. The decor is eclectic. All the tableware is cute; the wooden platters that bureks are served on, the cafe platter that the turkish coffee is served on, and the honey jars are all visually appealing. It struck me as odd that they don't provide filtered ice water. If you ask for water they give you a standard poland water bottle of water without a glass, ice or straw. Drinking from a bottle at the table took away from the experience. You can bring a bottle of wine if each person drinking is spending up to $20 per person (and yes, i asked her to repeat that price quote). I would definitely return when i am craving a turkish brunch. read more

I used to visit this place every other weekend and they have got so much business from me and my friends. However post pandemic I don't know what happened to the service, food and the place. Like with every restaurant post covid this place's food quality has deteriorated. Service was always a hit or miss but lately it has been horrible. They have the outdoor patio open in winters too and the way to get there is from inside and the waiters who open the door leading to patio won't close it thereby leaving a draft coming from outside. There has been numerous instances of this and we had to literally standup and go close the door and they even fill the restaurant to full capacity which is scary during these times. The food when we went last did not seem to be fresh especially the Burek which was super cold when served. I need to detox from this place until they up their game. read more

Found this place randomly on Yelp right before my friend and I decided we wanted to grab a late night dinner. Almost missed the place, the sign is above the canopy and I was too short to see. We were welcomed in and led to the back and woah, did not expect to see such an amazing backyard setting. My friend and I split one Grilled Chicken Panini and one fried ham crepe, both were delicious and very filling. In my opinion, definitely worth the price. We didn't end up staying for dessert but I would definitely want to come back here another time! Perfect for Mother's Day or some other occasion. Went for a late brunch on a weekday and were seated right away (no reservation needed). We got tea and coffee to start and also juices, but both juices had too much ice which made it watery. The breakfast wrap was delicious and the Turkish breakfast was very similar to an American breakfast the only thing that's different is the feta cheese. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The interior is really homey and cute. There are so many little details that it feels like you're finding something new every time you look. The staff are so kind and friendly. They explained everything on the menu and had some great recommendations. We started with a ustipci which is served with some honey and cheese. I would compare it to a beignet without the powdered sugar. These came out piping hot and in a huge basket. Definitely get one to share. They're super light and fluffy. I ordered the Beef Devrek and this is a huge ring of dough stuffed with prosciutto, pepperoni, mushroom, and mozzarella. Honestly, how can this go wrong?
