Oh its such a warm and cozy cafe, like straight out of fiction novel where everything is perfect. I loved the ambience and the interior. I just got mocha but it was delicious. They have so many food options. They also have wifi and board game. A perfect hangout place with friends or even a solo date. And they are super fast in getting the order. Amazing service and people!

Friendly customer service, great tasting coffee! We ordered a drip and a breve latte and both were fantastic! Make sure to try their Strata, my life was just changed for the better by it. Egg, cheese, sourdough crumble and pico detalló tomatoes!

How I heard of this place: Our brother-in-law's sister recommended the establishment more than a year ago. While we are often in the area, and exploring new-to-us cafes, it took this long to make it in. And the enticing attribute: open-faced toasts. Type of cuisine: Coffee shop with in-house baked pastries, light brunch fare. Ambiance: Sweet, blue, whimsical; a moment spent in the Mediterranean is the overwhelming feeling one receives upon entering, and savoring the foods. We love the brightness, the simple blue flower stenciled art, the plethora of flora and the busy-ness of the space with creative and unique displays, artwork, prints, furnishings and more. The room is cozy, with a living room set-up as well as breakfast nook style tables and chairs inside. Outside, a patio is available for drinking and dining as well. The space is bustling, full of conversation, people and the noises of a busy cafe. What I ordered: To sip on, we had one 12-oz mocha ($5.50) for me, an Americano ($4) for my sister, a 27-oz French Press ($8.00) for the hubby, a 12-oz Golden Milk ($5.00) for one child and the 12-oz Babycino ($4.50) - a cinnamon and honey steamer for the second child. To eat, we selected the following toasts: Soft Boiled Egg, Parmesan, Olive Oil, Black Pepper ($9.99) and the Toasted Hazelnuts, Chevre, Honey & Thyme ($9.99), and the House Jam + Ricotta, as well as a Strata ($8.69). Each of our meals were served with a small cup of yogurt and cute, crisped millet. What I loved: The Soft Boiled Egg Toast was easily the table favorite! A close second being the small, but packed-with-flavor strata. Why I loved it: The space is cozy, the staff friendly, the food fresh and tasty. Cost: High

This picture came up on the Bellingham subreddit. We came here a couple days ago and coffee was good but I didn't like the ambience. It was somehow off putting, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. After seeing this post, it very much solidified my feelings. When you first walk in, immediately to your right is the dirty dish tub. And to the left side, you see this spray bottle. It is not a nice way to be welcomed. That stuff should be in the back. It's a very busy and cluttered space. Coupling that with dirty dishes and a spray bottle, it gives off a very uncleanliness vibe. The sign is also passive aggressive. I'd rather see a sign that says "For your convenience", not one that is demanding customers to wipe down tables. A single rag is also gross, how many times has it already been used? Should it be soaking in bleach water? Chemicals and dirty dishes shouldn't be the first two things any customer is close to upon entering a food establishment. I wish I can take my tip back. Aside from all that, the lattes were made well. The staff were friendly.

Cute little coffee shop in the cutest of places in Bellingham. Great staff who are very warm and personable - the kind of coffee shop that makes you nostalgic. The furniture is very homey and I feel like I'm at a friend's living room from its ambience. Definitely get the Oatmeal Rosemary cream cookies, which are very special. They just started a Monday night late open hours and it was very popular. It was just what I needed as I was en route from Vancouver back home.

A great and cozy cafe with great artwork and fantastic aesthetics to start your day. The foods and drinks were all superb and I'd highly recommend everything on their menu I truly believe there's nothing that wouldn't be enjoyed. Another great bonus was being greeted with bright smiles upon arrival by staff and almost every accommodation could be met by their staff. 10/10

I'm obsessed. The best vanilla oatmilk latte in town! Their strata is so tasty, I have to get it every time and the yogurt/bran combo is uniquely amazing, I'm getting hungry just writing this post. It always has an inviting atmosphere and you feel like you're in a cozy living room enjoying breakfast. read more

Went here for the first time with my mom, she got a chai latte, I got a mocha and we split a maple cardamom latte, they were all amazing!! And the staff are super sweet and friendly. The vibes here are just as wonderful as the coffee. I absolutely love this place! read more

I love this new addition to Fairhaven. I ordered a cappuccino and the zaatar bread and it was delicious. The zaatar bread came with a spread that I am guessing is lavnah. It was wonderful. The employees were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. read more

Adorable new cafe! Their homemade chai is wonderful. They have a selection of toasts - I tried the ricotta and tomato as well as the parmesan with a soft boiled egg. Both were cooked to perfection! Walking into Cafe Blue is like walking into your dream home with your dream family waiting to serve you a delicious breakfast and divine coffee and espresso drinks. Lily and Kyle have created a cozy, warm, and beautiful space where friends can gather and chat over a delectable hot beverages or sit alone with a French press to study and work in peace. I recommend anything that includes the yogurt on the side... every single toast we tried was amazing. If you're in bellingham be sure to make this cafe a priority to visit! read more

Absolutely love this cute little cafe! I enjoy the cozy, welcoming ambiance, with an eclectic collection of art on the walls and beautiful indoor plants filling the windows. The people who work here are so friendly, so the service is fantastic. The food is wonderful. We've had breakfast here a few times and it's always great. Love the yogurt, the strata, the baked goods, and the toasts are amazing. They don't skimp on serving size, all for a fair price. The coffee is really good too. BEST COFFEE SHOP IN BHAM!!! Lily and Crew are like your long lost family you never knew you needed. They EXUDE warm hospitality and community from every angle. No matter who is manning the espresso machine, the coffee is 100/10. Cafe Blue is also the coziest little space ever and if the weather allows, their outdoor seating is so wonderful. Their pastries are all homemade, fresh and delicious! And their everything bagels on Sundays are what dreams are made of, and are sure to cure your Sunday Scaries. This place serves more than specialty coffee and yummy food...they serve LOVE. I could go on I just wish they were open even more days of the week!! read more

Great coffee, great vibes. Popped into Cafe Blue on my way back down to Seattle and was not disappointed. The decor is super eclectic and inviting, and the baristas might be my future best friends. I wish I lived nearby so I could post up with my laptop and work for the day. The sparkling chamomile Rosemary drink is a must for any tea-lovers. read more

Delightful soft boiled egg on toast - perfectly seasoned with generous shavings of parmigiana and a side of yogurt. Staff was very friendly and welcoming- even while busy w the breakfast rush. Very comfortable coffee shop with plenty of seating. The decor is super chic, and the staff are always super friendly. Coffee is superb! This is my favorite coffee shop in Bellingham. I fell in love with Cafe Blue the minute I stepped in. Staff is amazing and so friendly. The music is relaxing and different from what you listen to on your day to day which is perfect because I get to concentrate while working. They also have board games, books, chess and other fun things to play around with! They have the most amazing coffee as well as different milk alternatives ( Oat milk is my favorite ). A really instagramable/ aesthetically pleasing space, the colors and decor are wonderful and it feels really cozy. Definitely my go-to coffee shop!! read more

Two words: simply adorable. I'd heard this cafe was cute from people around town, but it far exceeded my expectations! Smooth, delicious espresso, and I always hold a cafe that uses Califia Farms barista oat milk in high regards. They have a great selection of fresh-made pastries and light food options too. The baristas were all genuinely friendly in a casual manner. Despite living on the opposite side of town, I will most definitely be coming back on the regular! read more

Cafe Blue is a nostalgic modern '90's cafe. The owners have thought out every design aspect and are devoted to the customer experience including great coffee, friendly baristas and amazing pastries. Everything is made in house and the pastries rival anything I have had in Paris. You must stop at this coffee shop if you are in Bellingham! read more

On our visit to Bellingham, during a wintry week in February, we needed a go-to coffee place to start our days. I'm so glad we found Cafe Blue. A cozy yet surprisingly spacious cafe with French inspired decor, comfy seating, and thriving house plants, Cafe Blue seems inspired by generations of coffee houses and cafes. It's fresh and modern, but feels like it's been here forever at the same time. Beyond aesthetics, this port in the literal storm exudes warmth and genuineness. Lily and Kyle couldn't have been more welcoming. They went above and beyond engaging us in conversation and even writing down places we should explore while in town. As for the coffee and food, Kyle makes the pastries everyday which are inventive and delicious. The coffees were rich and bright with flavor. If I lived in Fairview, this would part of my morning ritual. Vive La Cafe Blue! read more

Wow! What a find. This place isn't perfect so much as intelligently cozy, fresh, young and kind. Initially I peered into the widow of this place to spy their morning breakfast blackboard menu only to see "ricotta & jam toast". It was marvelous. However, you have to be insane to order from the blackboard menu until you see they're faire on the counter. Peach & raspberry galette, fresh (and I mean hot and steaming) almond croissants just coming out of the oven. We'll be back!! read more

This is a really tremendous cafe. It's probably got the best combination of vibe, service, food quality, and coffee in Bellingham. Unfortunately, most items are little pricey. But they're a new cafe and they are doing an excellent job across the board and IMO, they've earned every 5 star review yet. read more

The aesthetics of this cafe are deserving of five stars & beyond. It's so cute, cozy, and perfectly situated in sleepy old Fairhaven. I've come a total of three times now, and had generally the same experience as far as service and coffee quality. The staff are friendly but seem to be more interested in their own conversations than the customers. My latte's have been okay, but slightly bitter each time - most likely because the espresso sits for too long before being added. That being said, each time I've come in I've promptly received the caffeine I needed and completed my work in a friendly and beautiful atmosphere. I will likely be back and would recommend giving it a try! read more

I stopped into Café Blue after a recommendation from a coworker and some down time in Fairhaven. This café was all my coworker made it out to be and more! It's got a great, cozy atmosphere and friendly employees. I had the hot cocoa and a croissant with homemade jam and it was divine! I cannot recommend this place enough. They had a selection of gluten free items to eat, including gluten free focaccia which worked out great since my partner is GF. We ordered a variety of food and coffee (latte and gesha pour over) and even bought a bag of gesha beans to make coffee at home because we thought it was so good. Even though it was a Saturday morning (it was super packed) we still found a table to sit at and were able to enjoy everything. We came back a couple of days later, but we missed the food (the kitchen closes at a specific time) so we ended up getting coffee to go. I'd put this place on my list of favorite coffee shops to eat at in PNW!
