Have eaten here several times before and had nothing but praise for the entire experience. However, for reason tonight was a flop. All three of our orders had something wrong with it. The food was warm at best and not up their usually great taste. Of course the setting and atmosphere was good.

Just a little lunch date in Newburgh, Indiana. Quaint little establishment with excellent food and food choices. Nice cocktail selection, too. Service was excellent. Outside seating available. Interesting specials and great dessert tray. Get the French press coffee at the end of your meal.

Cafe Arazu is a true gem. The kindest most welcoming staff helped us celebrate a birthday lunch on a random Tuesday. We love Mediterranean food and everything we've had is delectable. To start, the Cuban Cigars are an automatic order every visit. The hummus appetizer is pretty much too thanks to the best pita on the planet. On the lunch menu, the Chicken Shawarma is a savory favorite and the soup of the day is always worth trying. The dinner specials they turn out are incredible and warrant watching social media for to see what's on the menu, especially on the weekends.

    Inside cozy and warm.

This was a recommendation from a customer while traveling with my job. It's located in a darling little town called Newburgh. The entire town was festive with Christmas lights which added to the ambience of this cute restaurant. I was greeted by the hostess. They had a stand set up with warm cider and cinnamon. They told me to help myself. I really liked this touch. I thought it was very hometown and I appreciated it the night that I was there. They had a special where you could try quite a few items on the menu I decided to order that Based on the recommendation from my server, everything was very good. It was a lot of meat for me so next time I would probably go for something that had a little bit more vegetables or salad. The service is what made the evening special. My server was so friendly and delightful. The hostess was just as well. You should give this place a try when traveling to Evansville.

This little gem is perfect for lunch! The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our food! The day we went they were very busy, but you still felt nice and cozy. Our meals were delicious

Really good food. Different of what we normally eat, but it was good. Nice outdoor area, and close to Ben and Jerry ice creams.

Great Mediterranean cuisine. The lamb chops were spectacular. The Lithuanian Torte was a perfect finish.

Delicious! Just go, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to see what they do with The Jungle in downtown Evansville.

No Kofta so ordered 2 lamb gyros platters. Server asked what we wanted on our salad. 5 seconds after looking to see what was offered, he asked" Traditional?" We said yes. It was Literally slopped on to-go plated with tongs. Slapped / Slopped ... then the rice was slapped on with a serving spoon. Then the gyros was grabbed with a gloved had and thrown on top of everything. Asked if we wanted sauce. I asked if it was Tzatziki. Yes he said. We both wanted it. Dipper dumped over everything. This isn't my first time having Mediterranean food. The lamb gyros was some kind of ground meat mixture that was thin sliced to resemble Gyros actually cut off of a vertical rotisserie. There was no lamb flavor at all. I ordered a side of falafels. He pulled out a container that had a little mixture in it and said he didn't have enough. He asked if we wanted drinks. My wife didn't. I asked if he had mint yogurt drink. He said " You want drink?" I said yes if you have it. He entered everything and took my money. I waited for the mint yogurt drink. He looked at me like what are you waiting for? I said the yogurt drink. He handed me a fountain drink cup and pointed to the soda fountain. Needless to say it was only a typical soda fountain. The pita bread was pretty good! The food wasn't bad, just didn't have the lamb flavor I was expecting. The yellow rice was decent, and the explosion of salad was disjointed but fresh. And there are Egyptian picture on the walls. I would go back though. I just know what to expect now.

Does the place have something new and unique to a very stale and unimaginative local cuisine? Yes. Never had an issue with the staff. Food is fast and hot. Vegetables were also fresh. Family owned and operated. More foot traffic would help keep things fresh, but I have liked everything I've tried. My family likes the Philly Steak and fries, I go for the lamb shawarma every time. Is it New York or Chicago heavy foot traffic kind of place, no. I like it because it's a wonderful change from the same old, same old of a small rural town.
